I’m happy to a degree, I think they are short of staff but the staff that are there try their very best to provide the care that’s necessary so I’m truly grateful. It’s always very clean and they liaise with me very well which is very important.

Many thanks for your review of Villa Maria, the registered manager has recently run a very successful recruitment campaign and the new staff are in the process of being inducted. The overall staff-to-resident ratio is reviewed on a monthly basis and can be adjusted accordingly. Please do not...

Mum was admitted to Villa Maria Nursing Home from hospital after breaking her hip and becoming unable to walk and with hypoactive dementia, at the age of 92. The attentive care she received from all staff couldn't have been bettered. The admin staff were always available and gave useful advice on taking Mum out, especially for her birthday. The activities and events held at the Villa were lovely and it was so nice to take Mum into the beautiful garden, English weather permitting. After Mum unfortunately died with the tenderest care from her nursing attendants; the staff were so helpful. They even helped to find a venue for her wake.

I am relieved to see that my sister is being well cared for. The staff are all so friendly and natural. They take time to listen to the patients, seeing to their individual needs. Everyone, if they wish to, is included in the many activities which are organised, patients are encouraged to join in but if they wish to sit and observe they can do. My sister always looks clean, hair brushed etc. She couldn't be in a better place!

Mum had been admitted from Hospital via Merton Council as I was unable to continue caring for her. During her time at Villa Maria, she was always treated with kindness, love and respect. She was always very clean and tidy. She enjoyed being fussed over. Sadly, her condition deteriorated and she died in August 2022. Fortunately, I was with her along with some of the girls who cared for her. They showed her the dignity and kindness in death as they did in life. They were incredibly supportive to me and my brother and even came to Mum's funeral. Everyone from the manager to staff members made us feel welcome and were very friendly when we visited mum. I'm so glad mum ended her days here. She couldn't have been in better care. Thank you all so very much.

The staff here are extremely friendly and welcoming. They have made my dad feel at home and are very accommodating when I visit. The facilities are good and lots of activities for the residents to partake in. When moving into the care home the staff were very helpful and supportive, making the process stress-free. Nothing is too much and I'm confident my dad is in safe and caring hands.

My aunt was admitted to Villa Maria Nursing Home in December 2022 and although the building is not the most modern this is made up by the excellent caring staff. From management to the Sisters, Nurses and the Carers all so welcoming and caring not just to my aunt but myself too. Thank you Villa Maria Nursing Home.

My mother had been a resident for 9 years following a stroke. Villa Maria nursed her back to the best health possible. During Christmas 2017, my mother suffered a blood clot and sadly died on New Year's Eve. Villa Maria staff were always there to help and even hosted the wake for us. They have been truly amazing all the time my mother has been with them. She once said, "If I knew care homes were like this I would have had the stroke years before!"

My mother has been in Villa Maria for 9 years. I live in Wales so cannot see her as much as I can but when I do I'm always amazed at how happy she is and the standard of care is excellent! She looks really well and the staff are always on hand to answer any questions or help out if needed.

My sisters visit on a regular basis and are given privacy if needed. Her birthday was celebrated with a cake and a present and card from the staff which I thought was a lovely personal touch. A wonderful care home!

Villa Maria is like a home from home. The staff are always friendly and I feel confident having my mother at the end of a visit knowing she is receiving care and attention at all times. Any concerns are dealt with swiftly and professionally.

I truly feel, without Villa Maria, my mother wouldn't have survived this long. The activities and entertainment are always well planned. A first class care home.

I don't think I could have found a better care home for my mother who needs palliative care. She is very happy there, all the residents are treated as family. The atmosphere is lovely as well as being very professional, the food is excellent, she was very underweight until she went there, not now, she's healthy looking and very happy. Would thoroughly recommend Villa Maria to anyone, mum is lucky to be there!
