Comprising 30 beautifully and individually decorated bedrooms equipped with high spec facilities including adjustable beds, 24-hour nurse call systems, digital TV and Wi-Fi. The Home provides a bright, modern yet comfortable and traditional setting and are cared for by an incredibly passionate and dedicated staff team. Our uncle became a resident in April 2023, until he passed away in December 2024. The care my uncle received throughout this time at The White House was excellent. All the staff are very caring and professional. The end of life care he received by the care team was professional. We were all able to
visit him every day at any time and were always made welcome. We have no hesitation in recommending this nursing home.

Mum moved into The White House Nursing Home in November 2022. We had searched high and low for a suitable residence for her, we read so many CQC reports and visited many different places. My siblings and I all felt very strongly that TWH was the right place for Mum. We were not disappointed! Mum
received the most amazing love, attention and care from the wonderful staff. She participated in the activities and outings and really made the most of the experience. She made friends and said she felt 'safe and protected'. If ever we had a query or concern, it was dealt with immediately with the utmost attention and efficiency. The Manager is exceptional. Very sadly, Mum's condition deteriorated and she died in April 2025 but TWH provided the best end of life care to her, and to us, in her final months. We were virtually living at TWH in the last week and were treated like family members ourselves. All the staff work so hard to look after their people in their care.

My mother was admitted to The White House for end of life care in February 25. I was apprehensive as I had no knowledge of homes in the area. My concerns were soon proved to be unfounded.
Under the calm, professional supervision of the manager, this home is nothing short of exceptional. All the staff
were professional and caring where nothing was too much trouble when assisting both residents and visitors.
My mother was comfortable and content thanks to these amazing staff and their outstanding care.
Thank you to everyone involved.

My father became a resident in December 2023 until his sad demise in December 2024. The care that Dad received throughout his time at the home was excellent. All the staff were always caring and professional. All activities that Dad became involved in he enjoyed be it in the home or the various day
trips. When the family visited we were always made to feel welcome. I cannot thank them enough for the excellent care that Dad received.

The care provided by The White House Nursing Home for my husband has been outstanding. The love, care, and commitment of all of the staff is beyond compare. Sadly my dear husband passed away on 22 December 2024 and even since his passing the staff have been in contact with me directly to check that
I am ok. They even have arranged to have a tree planted for him and have sent me an amazing framed photograph of my dear husband. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. They treated my husband and myself as part of their amazing family. They are better than outstanding. They are incredible.

The staff treated my Mum like family and my Mum thought of the nursing home as her home. We were allowed to make her room to suit her, own TV, own furniture. Mum was never lovely although bedbound as all the staff would go and interact with her, they knew instantly when something wasn't right and called
the Ambulance and us. Mum raved about the food, as guests we were offered food/drink regularly, and was always good. If I needed a nursing home, I would want to be here.

I cannot fault the care that was provided for my mum over the 6 months that she was there. The staff are so attentive and she was so happy for her short time in the home. They go above and beyond to look after the clients. I will be forever in their thoughts.

Mum moved to The White House Nursing Home from hospital and all the staff worked very hard to welcome her and encourage her to join in with the activities she could manage, to eat and drink enough and to make her comfortable in spite of her frailty. The end-of-life care they provided was caring and
professional. We were able to visit every day at any time and were always made welcome. The bedroom was small but the level of care provided was excellent.

My wife spent the last six years of her life in The White House Nursing Home.
She suffered from Alzheimer's and vascular dementia.
The whole team, from the cleaning staff to management and owners were absolutely wonderful.
It felt like a real home and whilst there were obviously rules, everyone
made an effort to be as flexible and as considerate both to the resident and their loved ones.
This all helped to make the experience of having to see your loved one, in my case my wife, be admitted to a nursing home. However, when there is no option of caring for her any longer yourself in the family home, it was so reassuring to see her settle so easily into The White House.
In her last days, she was made very comfortable and suffered no signs of pain or stress. We were allowed 24-hour access and could have stayed overnight if that was needed.
I have nothing but praise for all the team, for the loving care they gave my wife.
Yes CQC rate them Outstanding!

When we were told my father would require nursing care we were quite nervous as we didn't know what to expect. However our experience of The White House was very positive. Our dad settled down well and was well looked after in the two years he was a resident. The manager and nursing staff were always
on hand to answer any questions or concerns, and to ensure my father received the right medical care. All the staff, from the chefs to the carers to the activity coordinators to the cleaners, were all very friendly, kind and felt like our extended family. The White House always had a fun and exciting range of activities and outings for residents, and my dad particularly enjoyed music time and bingo. Above all, we always felt that Dad was well looked after and respected. We also felt very welcome when visiting Dad, and well supported when he passed away recently. We will always be thankful to The White House staff for their love and kindness.

My mum moved into The White House on 5th November 2021, from day 1 I knew this small independent-run care/nursing home was the right choice for Mum as well as myself. Every one of the staff from management to careers, chefs, cleaners and admin staff are very hardworking, supportive and friendly people.
You are made to feel like this is your home as well as your loved one's home. The home is always fresh and clean with no off-putting smells. All food is home-cooked and beautifully presented, very nutritious. Everyone is encouraged to join in the activities with lots of support and encouragement given. Excursions are in abundance, residents get opportunities to go to garden centres, parks, seaside and many lovely places of interest. Myself and family are indebted to everyone at The White House for the outstanding care and support shown and given to Mum from day one until her passing on 20th March 2024. We have no hesitation in recommending this lovely caring nursing home.

I’d like to thank all the staff at The White House for the wonderful kindness and care they provided to my mum for five years. The White House has a happy and supportive atmosphere and Mum always enjoyed being involved in all the crafts and activities provided for the residents. Mum passed away in March
and I will always be grateful for the way she was cared for by the always helpful staff with such sympathy and consideration to the end. I am so glad that we found a place for Mum where she could be so well looked after and happy in her final years.

My priority in finding a nursing home for my mother was the quality of the nursing care and pain control it could give. This home was excellent in fulfilling both of those requirements. All staff from cleaners through carers, nurses and the manager were kind and compassionate. The bedrooms are small
but adequate: downstairs, where residents spend much of the day, is homely and comfortable.
The staff engaged my mother in many activities, despite her limitations. She really enjoyed the homemade food, particularly the afternoon cakes. The nursing care she received and the consideration shown to both her and me were outstanding. They controlled her pain throughout and her passing was as comfortable as possible. To the very end, she was not simply a patient but an individual in their care.
I could not fault their nursing and complete care, in all aspects, and I say that from having been a nurse myself.

I stayed here for 2 weeks following an operation. I cannot praise the staff enough for their friendliness, professionalism and kindness. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and there were activities every weekday to keep the residents motivated. This is truly a homely environment and

The White House Care Home was the best thing that happened to my wife and I for the end of her long and fruitful life. From the very first moment we talked to the manager, to the last my wife's day on September, 29 both of us had nothing but words of praise for the care, treatment, staff, cleanliness,

The White House Nursing Home took my mother with just a few days notice when the hospital she had been in for nine weeks wanted to release her. Within a day my mother, who had been lying on her back for nine weeks, was up and enjoying her life at this great little nursing home. The support and communication
we got from this home was amazing. The manager was always available on the phone and the staff were so kind, considerate and helpful. The staff here pushed my mother to do as much for herself as she could, they liaised with the hospital brilliantly and took so much weight off from our minds. We needed to move our mother nearer to her family on the South Coast, but left this amazing care home with reluctance after nine weeks. We would have had no hesitation in keeping her in this home. Finding a nursing home remotely as good as this home was not easy. The staff here are amazing.

The White House Nursing Home provided care for my mother from April 2022 through to her passing in early January 2023. The care provided was exemplary in all aspects. The staff were caring, attentive and supportive of all her needs. I cannot thank them enough for the support they showed to me as well,
at the end of her life. I would highly recommend The White House to anyone.

The staff were considerate, caring and respectful to my dear friend. They provided excellent personal care and home-cooked meals. Communication was very good too. I would recommend The White House for excellent person-centred care.

Rahim has been looking after Home's clinical and business administration since 2001, eventually becoming one of the Home's Directors in 2013. He has been instrumental in taking the Home forward through many changes in regulations, always ensuring the quality and health & safety aspects of the Home continue to improve and exceed standard levels. He describes his most important role as the "chief taster" of all the delicious cakes and dishes being produced in the kitchen!

Ajitha Pillai has been the Registered Manager of the Home since 2012. Previous to this, she was one of our Registered Nurse's and her hard work and passion for high quality care saw her quickly progressing to the award-wining Registered Manager she is today.
