Overall Experience
Foxleigh Grove is a different kind of nursing home, which is very much a positive. We visited most of the nursing homes in the Windsor area, and they were all "institutional" in varying degrees.
Foxleigh, by contrast, has the appearance and ambience of a country house hotel, which makes it much more "homely" for the residents. Crucially, Foxleigh also has an excellent and highly dedicated team of staff; nursing, carers, kitchen, cleaning, laundry, gardens, GP/OT, and administration/management.
When Mum entered we didn't think that she would make it to her 89th birthday. Instead, because of the excellent nursing, care, nutrition, and social activities, within a few months she was walking around the extensive gardens, and she made it to her 90th birthday.

In her last year, she was happier than she had been for many years, and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Foxleigh Grove to anyone looking for a kind and supportive environment for an elderly loved one. 10/10.

After my father had a fall and was unable to go back to his own house we had to put him in a Nursing home, lucky for us we found Foxleigh Grove. What a wonderful place to end your days, in a very friendly well organised family run home. All the staff are kind and caring not only to the residents but visiting family & friends too.

Sadly my father only had 6 weeks at Foxleigh before he passed away but we had peace of mind knowing that we was receiving the best of care and for that I am truly grateful.

The care my sister received in her short stay at the home was second to none. The staff were very considerate to her needs and they were always very polite and caring whenever we visited. Nothing was to much trouble. Would highly recommend the home.

After a 3 week stay in hospital, at aged 98 my father was rendered bed bound, quite helpless and needing nursing and end of life care so there was no alternative but for him to move into a nursing home. We are so lucky that Foxleigh Grove is just 5 minutes from us and they were able to receive Dad. He had exemplary care from the nursing and care staff, as did we. We all loved visiting as it has such a homely, family feel as soon as you arrive. It's sad that we had just 2 months with Dad at Foxleigh.

As a Daughter, I never wanted to put my Dad in a Nursing Home, but following a fall in May 2025, Dad required 24/7 care.
Our friends highly recommended Foxleigh Grove and we can't thank them enough. It is a wonderful, friendly, Family run Business, which offers so much love, kindness & Professionalism in everything they do.
My Dad wasn't the easiest of Patients, but they were marvelleous with him!!
Sadly, Dad, was only at Foxleigh for six months, but as a Family, we couldn't have asked for anything more.
I will miss sitting in your beautiful gardens with Dad, but I will treasure the memories.

Thank you to everyone.

A great facility with everything one would ever need including the most amazing team providing excellent care and always in a friendly and respectable way.
A very welcoming home, always feeling clean and fresh.
Our father was always kept clean and smart, his clothes always freshly laundered and pressed and good food provided for every meal.
An expert nursing team went to such great lengths to keep him well and comfortable.

I would highly recommend Foxleigh Grove.

I had the daunting task of having to place my father into a nursing home, as he was reaching the end of life care for a brain tumour. Having done some research, I had an instinct that Foxleigh Grove would be the best of the options of available to me. And I was correct in this. In my dad's short 6 week stay, he was really well looked after by all the team of carers, nurses and owners. At the start, he enjoyed a joke or two with the staff, but sadly he deteriorated whereby he required constant care, which was not a problem to the staff at all.

The rooms were warm, and well maintained. Superb gardens - which Dad was able to be wheeled down onto on occasions, and lovely peaceful location and quiet place. Dad enjoyed the food, and I found the staff very welcoming, friendly, and approachable at any time of the day. A true home-from-home. And it was only down the road from me, so I could visit Dad whenever, so I was always close to hand, and on first name basis with most of the staff.

My Godmother came to Foxleigh for six weeks of respite after a long hospital stay following a bad fall. The team at Foxleigh have been excellent. The progress she had made is really noticeable, both physically and mentally. The environment is lovely with views over the beautiful gardens - she has enjoyed her walks in the gardens, watching the birds, the food and has praised the staff. They have been very attentive and the environment is homely and personal. Thank you Foxleigh for making this such a positive experience for her.

We moved my mother to Foxleigh Grove in June 2025 and sadly we lost her 2 months later.
My family and I cannot thank everyone at Foxleigh Grove enough for the absolutely brilliant care they took of Mum. I am so happy that her last couple of months were there - she had been bed bound for the last 6 months at home, but the wonderful staff got her out of bed and she was able to enjoy sitting in the gardens and having her meals with other people for the first time in ages.
It's a unique place and feels like what it was - a family home. The owners and staff all genuinely care about the residents - they have a brilliant chef and the rooms are all decorated beautifully- it feels more like a boutique hotel than a nursing home. I just wish we had moved her earlier.

My daughter had worked briefly at Foxleigh Grove and had said at the time it would be a great option for Mum if she ever needed to leave her own home. She was absolutely right.

I was so happy to have found Foxleigh Grove. The only home I had dealt with that was truthful to me that my mum was at end of life care. My mum was moved there within days of me viewing a room. The staff where welcoming to my mums and family a cuppa was always offered. My mum was only there 6 days but in that time she had the best of care right to the end. Everyone was caring patient and kind. We all felt comfortable there. I would highly recommend this home

My sister and I are so grateful to Foxleigh for the loving care shown to our mother. She passed away recently and we wish she could have had longer to enjoy the house and gardens. From the moment our mother arrived she felt at ease. Her room was pretty and comfortable, and set up so that she had a view of the garden. Every effort was made to include her, getting her up and dressed and downstairs to join other people. One day she had been taken for a walk in the gardens and the staff picked camellia's for her to take back to her room. We saw that residents were treated with the utmost respect and kindness. On the one hand we saw a lovely range of activities going on and at the same time the nursing care was first-class, and we were very reassured by the end of life care provided for my mother. It's worth saying that we were cared for as well. Tea and coffee was always on offer and we felt relaxed coming and going to be with our mother.

My mother was a resident at Foxleigh from March 2022 until her passing in January 2025. Mum went to Foxleigh initially for respite but it was to become her final home. Mum was a fiercely independent former nurse and care home owner and was reluctant to go into a care home herself. However, the Foxleigh staff won her over and her health improved a great deal from being at home on her own - all thanks for the care and support mum received at the home and all the invigorating banter she enjoyed with the staff. I am very glad that mum had her final days at Foxleigh and I will be always grateful to the staff team that looked after her.

Dad was a resident from April 2021 to November 2024. The staff have always been helpful and friendly. In his last few months dad was unable to do anything for himself, all the the staff treated him with kindness and respect taking time to ensure that he ate something and continued to drink. They are a very caring team of people at Foxfleigh Grove.

My mother moved to Foxleigh Grove for what turned out to be the last year of her life. I do not believe we could have found better care for her. When she moved in she was able to walk independently in the gardens, and enjoyed having her coffee outside whenever the weather allowed. With encouragement from the staff she joined in with gardening and cookery activities, as well as visits to local coffee shops and garden centers. As she became more infirm she was still able to enjoy the sunny conservatories. When she became too frail to want to leave her room she was looked after with compassion and dignity, and was able pass away peacefully in familiar surroundings.

Mum had been a resident of Foxleigh Grove for nearly 3 years and was very happy there. She was always enthused about the staff who all treated her with the utmost respect and dignity. Foxleigh Grove has a homely feel about it with lovely gardens and mum loved her room overlooking the garden. We were so pleased that she was transferred from hospital to Foxleigh Grove which she considered home in time for her final moments and we witnessed first-hand the sensitive care and attention the staff gave to her during this time.
