The staff are all so friendly and patient. The home has a lovely relaxed and welcoming atmosphere too. The grounds are large and well kept with outside seating areas all around for those who are mobile, and there are so many bird feeders! In all, a really excellent and well-run nursing home.

We are so grateful for the care dad received in the final few months of his life when he was a resident at Foxleigh. I wish we had chosen it earlier in his illness. All his nursing and care needs were met conscientiously and with sensitivity and he was accorded dignity and as much autonomy as possible but what made so much difference was the kindness and warmth of all the staff. Every staff member without exception was friendly and welcoming to dad and to us as a family. The communication with the family was excellent. The atmosphere at Foxleigh as a whole was lively and like a real home rather than an institution All the residents we saw and met looked alert, happy and well cared for. It is a horrible situation to be in to see a loved one have to leave independent living in order to go into residential care, but Foxleigh could not have been better given dad's circumstances and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Dad has been at Foxleigh for almost two years and is so well looked after. It is so important to know that he is safe and cared for. I have been visiting Foxleigh since 2000, my mother-in-law was a resident for 8 years, my aunt for a few weeks, and my dear Mum for her last 10 months. I would highly recommend this family-run nursing home.

My father-in-law is well looked after, he was able to take part in activities whilst his health permitted. The staff know him very well and understand his likes and dislikes. Foxleigh Grove is homely and relaxed and the food is very good and the cakes are lovely. When in the dining room, melas are very sociable. The grounds are pleasant and used well in the summer.

Mum was in Foxleigh Grove for about a year. Although she didn't socialise much and stayed in her room, due to her condition, she was welcomed by other residents who looked out for her. The staff were very patient with Mum and the care was excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend Foxleigh Grove.

For nearly 5 years Mum was at Foxleigh Grove so we experienced pre-Covid and post-Covid. Dad visited daily pre-Covid, reducing to 4 days a week post-Covid (dad likes routine). Dad was always impressed with the food, he liked it so much he would finish what Mum could not eat! Dad became part of the furniture and was always welcomed by the staff. A relative social media group developed during Covid (which still is in use) is a helpful way of keeping in touch with the home and finding out what activities the residents are getting up to which always looked fun and well supported. I visited approximately 4 times a year and was always impressed with the staff that I met over the years. When Mum was towards the end of life the management were very helpful and empathetic, I could not have hoped for better. I plan to take Dad back soon to meet the staff as they have been such an important part of his life these last 5 years. Dad and I would not hesitate to recommend Foxleigh Grove.

We visited many different care homes to find somewhere for Mum. Foxleigh Grove Nursing Home stands out, not just due to the lovely room they found for her but because of the professionalism, kindness and care shown by the management, nursing and care staff. They were helpful and supportive to us as a family and thoughtful about Mum's care needs, keeping us well informed. We were able to visit as often as we chose and always felt welcome and listened to. After many months of hospital stays and then managing with carers at home, it was such a huge relief for Mum and for all of us that she could spend her final days calmly and peacefully at this wonderful place.

The living situation always feels relaxed and homely. The dining room is welcoming and the food is excellently presented. My experience of the outings is that they are very imaginative and always sound appealing. They are two hours or so duration which seems to suit the participants well.

My father is a resident at Foxleigh Grove Nursing Home.
Where to start?
1. Food- very important. The food is exceptional, it cannot be beaten. I would pay for the quality meals at Foxleigh. Outstanding.
2. Staff: kind, tolerant, patient and caring. My father was nervous about having to come into full-time care but his experience makes him really happy.
3. Accommodation: he says he couldn’t ask for better, filled with his own furniture and pictures, it really feels like home. The grounds are beautiful and the activities are so varied. He is encouraged but never forced to join in and he loves garden centre coffee trips.

As a daughter, I know all the staff really look after my dad and that is really reassuring.

Our experience of Foxleigh Grove has been one of pleasant surprise. My mother came in last autumn for respite and we have been so comforted by the care she has received that she is now a permanent resident. Foxleigh Grove is a really wonderful find. It is a beautiful family home. All the rooms and gardens are delightful. All of the staff we have met have been so kind to both my mother and me. I often have questions and I am always given the time and attention to discuss my mother's condition and care - whether this is in person or over the phone. The standard of care here is excellent whether my mother is feeling under the weather and stays resting in her room or is downstairs joining in with activities. The staff all encourage her to be as well as she can and to live life to the full. It’s such a comfort and she feels safe here. I am constantly very relieved that we found this lovely place and thank everyone at Foxleigh for the difference they make to our lives.

As my husband had been diagnosed with vascular dementia and his condition was deteriorating, alongside very long-standing physical health problems leading to very poor mobility I was advised to find a care home for him and Foxleigh Grove was suggested. I visited and chose a room for him for an initial 2-week respite care stay. It was clear he needed to stay permanently and was there for 9 months until his death. I have been delighted with the kindness and care given to him in a place so beautifully furnished and decorated. At all times he received kindness and professional support and, while he was still able, he enjoyed the entertainment provided in the Lounge. I totally recommend Foxleigh Grove to anyone needing the care they provide, and, as a wonderful extra, the excellence of the food provided.

I had to find a nursing home for my mum at very short notice and I can't tell you how relieved I was when I walked into Foxleigh Grove. I instantly felt a lovely homely feeling and once I had a look around and was shown the bedroom on the ground floor where my mum was going to be staying for her short break of two weeks and met the nursing staff that would be looking after my mum I knew this was the home I wanted my mum to stay at. After visiting and talking with my mum I could see she seemed happy and calm and all the staff were very caring, friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this lovely caring home to friends and acquaintances. Thank you to the manager and the team.

After a recent short-term admission to Foxleigh Grove, I want to compliment the nursing staff, management and setting of this lovely care home. The welcome, assistance, and general desire to fulfill the needs of the patients, mostly elderly and very needy, with kindness, skill and humanity. Reassuring their anxieties which are natural to their situation.

The food is excellent and well presented and healthy. The staff are kind, polite and cheerful. Well trained and supervised, carefully and supportive.

An absolutely wonderful nursing home! My parents stayed at Foxleigh Grove for two months whilst their home was repaired after a flood. I couldn't fault anything, from the lovely owner to the amazing nursing staff.
All of the staff go above and beyond being just a job, they are so kind, caring and thoughtful, nothing is too much trouble for them. My dear mum said it was far better than any 4 star hotel she had stayed in! The meals are fantastic, lovely choices and beautifully presented, the rooms are immaculately clean.

Thank you all so very much for looking after my precious parents!

A huge and gracious thank you to all the staff at Foxleigh Grove who cared for my mother. Foxleigh Grove staff are led by an amazing team, which means they are all happy in their work and this is passed on to our family members residing here with their care.
The home is evidently family-run, the whole building calls out that you have come home. The 24-hour nursing staff are a credit to their profession and the carers are outstanding. Staff ratio seems much higher than previous homes, but I am told they are normal ratio, which can only emphasise the commitment and dedication these carers have for their patients.
Foxleigh is surrounded by beautiful gardens, open to all. If patients cannot get out to enjoy the gardens, there is always someone to wheel them around.

I am only sorry we did not find this gem sooner, but my mother could finally end her days surrounded by love, and the feeling of being safe. Nothing can take that away and I am eternally grateful. Thank you.

My mother was moved to Foxleigh Grove, from her previous nursing home, in February 2022 at the request of my two sisters who lived close by. I was initially reluctant to move her but on visiting Foxleigh Grove it was immediately apparent that the surroundings and the feeling of 'being at home' would suit my mother.
Once my mother had moved, the care and attention she started to receive from the nursing staff were so much better for her state of mind. My mother had a 'challenging' personality but the staff dealt with her needs and took it in their stride.
When visiting, I was always in awe of the dedication and kindness shown by such young staff. The care my mother received from all staff, regardless of their job status, was fantastic.
My mother sadly passed away at the end of April and to the very end, I was kept updated and welcomed when visiting even through these recent difficult times.

My thanks and admiration goes to all the staff at Foxleigh Grove - Thank you.
