Foxleigh Grove Nursing Home

The food is excellent and well presented and healthy. The staff are kind, polite and cheerful. Well trained and supervised, carefully and supportive.

I am only sorry we did not find this gem sooner, but my mother could finally end her days surrounded by love, and the feeling of being safe. Nothing can take that away and I am eternally grateful. Thank you.

My dear and best friend recently passed away peacefully and comfortably in Foxleigh Grove. I was there with her and it was a sad and beautiful moment. She had been at Foxleigh Grove for nearly nine years. She was very well looked after, her room was kept clean, and the caring staff were all very kind and understanding with her. I have very good and happy memories of visiting her, and all the community activities, especially the singing and live music, with visiting singers and musicians. I also took her for walks in the beautiful and extensive garden grounds and lawn. She had a favourite tree in the garden. I have ordered a reclining teak wooden chair with a luxury sage cushion in memory of her to be put in the garden. The chair will have a brass plate with the words 'live wise, love well, be beautiful'.

My mother went to Foxleigh Grove for her end of life care. She lived for 3 more months due to the excellent care she received. Every single person was extremely helpful, caring and nothing was ever too much trouble. The home was beautiful just as my mum would have wanted. We were able to visit daily and be with her on her passing which is all we ever wanted. The staff were so accommodating, I would definitely recommend Foxleigh Grove. We couldn’t have wished for anything better for our mum, a huge thank you to everyone involved with the home.

My Mother had to go into care during lockdown and had to isolate at first, she found this very difficult and the staff went out of their way to spend time with her and help her to settle in. The home's ethos seems genuinely caring.

We are very pleased with Foxleigh. Mother is happy and well looked after. The staff are marvellous. They have bravely worked through the Covid period, are always friendly and responsive, and generally in excellent spirits. My mother has everything she needs and enjoys being at Foxleigh. She enjoys lunch in the conservatory and likes to look out at the garden both from there and from her room. She enjoys the activities (though I think she might enjoy more). She has also enjoyed the trips (pantomime, boat trip etc) and the theatrical events held in the Foxleigh garden. Overall, we are happy and confident that she is in safe and caring hands. I think we have made an excellent choice. A big thank you to all the staff.

It took him a while to settle in but the staff have been very patient, caring and kind to him. I feel that he's in a good place and I am comfortable that he is being given the best of care. He loves the food.

Our Mother has been at Foxleigh now since June 2017, following a near brush with death leaving her with heart failure and chronic COPD. The team at Foxleigh helped her get back on her feet and from a lady who had previously been determined she wanted to remain at home as she grew older, she very quickly decided that Foxleigh was to be her new home and has never looked back. Our Mother regards the team at Foxleigh as an extension of her own family and particularly at this time when faced with the challenges of Covid 19 we cannot thank them enough for keeping the person most precious to us safe and so well cared for.

Mum has been resident at Foxleigh Grove for 6-months now. Initially, she found it difficult to leave her home and garden, but she has settled now, accepting that she requires 24/7 nursing care. She has a lovely, bright room at the back of the house overlooking the well-tended gardens. She joins in with activities when these are available and is appreciative of the food which is provided in line with her dietary needs. The staff are caring, encouraging and sensitive and mum's health has improved to such an extent that she has required only one brief admission to hospital in recent months. The Covid-19 pandemic has been a significant challenge for residents, staff and relatives alike, but shielding was instituted early, and great care is taken to minimise the risk of bringing the virus into the home. As relatives have been unable to visit, staff provide updates via private app groups. I am grateful to them all for the care Mum is receiving in these difficult times.

My mother has been a resident At Foxleigh Grove for over eight years. I am very happy with the great care, friendliness and competence of the staff. I chose Foxleigh for many reasons, the home from home feel, the fact that we could take our dog to visit, the various activities they arrange and most importantly the excellent nursing care they provide which my mum has had need of on several occasions. My mum is happy and well looked after which in turn makes me happy.

The care home is home from home. A superb personal touch, excellent medical care and the residents treated with kindness, respect and dignity. My father whilst physically frail is still alert and has full cognitive ability. He is very fond of the nursing and caring staff and would not wish to be anywhere else. A big thank you to Foxleigh.

My experience of my recent eight days stay at Foxleigh was as close as 'home from home' as is possible to be. The staff were unfailingly caring while being responsive to my requirements. They performed their tasks with the utmost professionalism, sensitivity and at all times were concerned to preserve my dignity; more concerned indeed than I was. Congratulations to management and staff alike.

Foxleigh Grove is an amazing place. My dad came from another care home just over 2 1/2 years ago and I can honestly say there is no comparison. He can't believe his luck and asks the management every day if he is able to stay! He recently had his 83rd birthday, which I firmly believe he wouldn't have reached had he been anywhere else. He has limited movement but that hasn't stopped him going on several trips they organise. Dad also enjoys the different activities they have as his body may not be so active but his mind is. All the staff are lovely and can't do enough for Dad when he needs them. I am especially impressed with the food as everything is homemade and I know Dad's favourite is the Sunday Roast. Anyway, I cannot speak highly enough of Foxleigh Grove and thank the person who recommended it to us.
