Thank you for your kind words about the care of your Father by our nursing and other staff. We are really sorry that you feel our management has not been able to resolve the issue raised in relation to your Father. Our first and foremost responsibility is always to our residents and, as explained, we have to remain impartial in situations where the next of kin is disputed until an external judgement has been reached. Which is why we recommended you raise the situation as a safeguarding issue with the relevant authorities, in addition to which we have ourselves raised the issue with the funding authority.
We can, however, confirm categorically that your Father has never left the home during lockdown except for his hospital stay and that this complied fully with all regulatory, care and safety requirements.
