My mum came to Parklands straight from hospital. We did not realise until mum arrived that she would never be returning to her home. Mum had reached the stage of her illness where it was sadly the end of the road. The manager and all staff were just wonderful and took care of her, and helped us come
to terms with how poorly our mum was. We couldn't have hoped for a better place for our mum to spend her last months. We will always be grateful for the care, love and devotion mum received.

My dad has been suffering with his dementia for some time and received suboptimal care it has to be said before he was rescued by Parklands Nursing Home in March. The first time I walked in to see Dad, I couldn’t believe how many carers there was present. Their rapport with the residents was amazing
and the care they were giving was outstanding and a pleasure to witness. With regards to my dad, nothing was too much trouble, even down to constantly wiping away his dribbling. As his condition has deteriorated, the care and support from the nurses has been very comforting. Explaining the significance of his walking as being the last shred of his independence, was humbling and thought-provoking. With a nursing background myself, I believe the care delivered to my dad is nothing but outstanding.

We found this home after being absolutely traumatized by the harrowing treatment my Dad received at a previous care home.
At Parklands Nursing Home, he has received nothing but excellent nursing care, received extra nourishing, delicious meals because the staff recognised his need to gain weight. The
carers are absolutely living up to their name giving my Dad the most caring, dignified and professional care they can. They are all fantastic with all the time to spare to alleviate any worries we have about his condition. I really can't praise them enough.
This is an absolutely welcoming and friendly home that starts at the front desk when you enter the building. Always a welcoming smile.
Well done Parklands - you got it right! Could even show some others how it should be done.

Parklands rescued my dad from the most disgusting home that should not even be allowed to open the doors. We had tried many homes to move dad to but we were declined. We called in Parklands no appointment, and received a warm welcome, a lovely senior carer showed us around, I was lost for words it is
the most calming, well organised, clean, spacious, accommodating, and the amount of staff was so lovely to see. We then spoke to a lovely nurse. I knew this is where my dad should be, and we count our blessings every day that they took my dad. I cannot express how humble I am to the wonderful staff who work so hard and most Of all are so lovely to all the residents in this what I can only describe as the best home I have seen. I have visited so many I can't tell you how many. Every day I visit it is so lovely to see my my dad clean well kept and respected by these caring people. Thank you Parklands from the bottom of my heart for the care you give my dad.

My mother was given the best care imaginable during her stay at Parklands. The staff were all very respectful, kind and exceptionally caring. Absolutely everyone was extremely professional and everyone gave 100% to their own jobs but worked collectively as an amazing team.

First class service. Staff friendly competent knowledgeable and couldn't do more for our mum. Food was well cooked, tasty and healthy. There were always alternatives or chef would make something else. Rooms were spotless. We were treated with respect and nurses were on hand for support and advice. Can't
praise highly enough.

Mum was only at the care home for a week and then sadly passed away. But the care and attention she received were very good. We were glad we managed to get her at this particular home and at least she spent her last week and relaxed & the place spotless.

The kindness, care, understanding and compassion that was shown by all the staff, whether they were cleaners, healthcare assistants or nurses, was exemplary. They were always professional and efficient but never lost sight of the fact that she was my mum, and my children's grandmother. She spent the
last days of her life here but there is no other place with no other people that I would like her to have been. They made a very difficult and traumatic time more bearable because of their thoughtfulness, and for this, I will always be grateful.

My Mum was a reluctant resident of Parklands from January 2016 to May 2017, which was a much longer period than expected. During her time there she was treated with dignity and respect and afforded the best of care. All of the nursing staff and carers are kind, considerate and very caring of all the
residents. The atmosphere in the home is always welcoming and friendly. The food always looked very appetising and everywhere looked clean. I am very grateful to all the staff for the care given to my Mum and the consideration, friendliness and support also shown to me on my very frequent visits during a difficult time.

My father entered Parklands in July 2015. He was 94 with many complex health issues. From the beginning, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were efficient, caring, welcoming and there was always a warm atmosphere in the home.
My father was treated with great dignity and my questions about
his ongoing health issues were always answered openly and truthfully.
The work is hard and the hours are long, but the staff are dedicated and genuinely cared for their residents. They showed me so much compassion when my father died, that it helped in my grieving process.
I would not hesitate to recommend Parklands to anyone looking for a care home for their loved one.
The food was appetising, nutritious and plentiful.

My dad was moved here from the hospital. Sadly he was only here from the 3rd February until the 16th as he passed away.
I cannot fault the care and compassion we received from all the staff. Everyone was caring and helpful, that cup of tea when you needed it.
When it came to the time, the nursing
staff were excellent and kept us informed at all times and we could be there when needed.

I have nothing but the highest of praise in relation to the many levels of care attributed to my mother. It has become very obvious that the 'home' and the staff have been under considerable pressure due to the level of illness very prevalent when there are many residents, but kept to an acceptable
level of care administered by all levels of the staffing care.
It is obvious to learn that the relatives have so much confidence in the way the residents are looked after which can be seen in improvements on a day to day basis.

The hospital transferred our mum to Parklands Nursing Home, as she was in very poor health. As expected we were very apprehensive, but after meeting the manager a few days prior to her arrival my sister and I knew we had chosen the right home. Unfortunately, our mum was only there a short time, but
during her stay, she was so well looked after, the staff are so kind, caring and supportive and this was extended to my sister and myself which we very much appreciated. We always had a friendly welcome and nothing was any trouble. The rooms are lovely and you can make them homely, very good choice of food and nice private areas where you can have meals with your relatives. We, unfortunately, lost our mum a few weeks later, and again the staff were fantastic at such a sad time.
So if you are agonising over where to send your loved one to be looked after, I can whole heartedly recommend Parklands Nursing Home.

Very caring staff, warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Residents treated with utmost dignity in a clean and fresh environment. Excellent nursing care and good communication. Varied activities and days out for residents, the less able are visited in their rooms by the activities organiser. I shall
miss my daily visits now that my relative has passed away. Parklands became like a second home and my relative was content, felt safe and had no complaints about the care they received.

The person you were looking after was my sister in law, the kindness all the staff showed was much appreciated. All the people there were so kind, from the cooks, cleaners, nurses and sisters, always happy, and first thing they were always there for the patients. My sister in law died in December but

Even though mum was only in Parklands for a short time every effort was given to meet her needs. In her final day's mum was treated with the utmost dignity and respect. I cannot fault the staff's attention and respect not only to mum but also to all the family members who visited her.

My husband had only been in Parklands for a short while and after I managed to get him in there I wrote a review on here. Sadly he passed away recently and once again I feel the need to write a review on this fanatic care and nursing home. My husband was treated with so much respect and dignity I could
not have wanted more. On the sad evening he passed away, everyone in Parklands treated me with such care and respect. I have since returned to collect my husband's personal belongings and once again everyone in Parklands stopped to offer their condolences.
I have so much to thank them for that a thank you will never be enough.

From the time that our Aunt went to Parklands Nursing Home to the time of her passing, the staff could not do enough for her, or us. They were professional yet sincere, caring and down to earth. Nothing was too much for them and they would always ensure that our Aunt was pain-free as possible, which
