My mother has been bedbound for more than two years now. The care staff have been exemplary in keeping her safe and cared for, she is always clean when I visit. She has no way of showing her appreciation but the staff treat her with kindness and respect at all times.

My mother is very comfortable and settled at Little Haven. Her needs are always attended to. The staff are very welcoming when I arrive. The nursing home always seems very relaxed given the challenges we have all had to face in the last two years. It is great for me to know that mum is happy and content. I can now visit with ease and we can take mum to various appointments and family events.

My father was only in Little Haven for the last three weeks of his life receiving palliative care. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was very clean and he had a lovely room to himself overlooking the garden. All the staff were so kind and understanding in his final days. We could not have asked for more excellent.

With my mother having to go into a home, we were very upset that we could no longer look after her but after looking around Little Haven Care Home our minds were immediately put at ease. The carers and members of staff were so friendly and welcoming and now she has been there for nearly a couple of months, the carers have been really thoughtful to all her needs. Each and every member of staff that work there are amazing and for that, we are extremely grateful and thank them so much. We couldn't have chosen a better home for her.

Overall Experience

Our mother was admitted to Little Haven in the final weeks of her life. The manager moved heaven and earth to have her released from hospital in 24 hours once a place became available, showing a stunning level of care and efficiency that was way beyond our expectations. The staff were all extremely caring and professional and went out of their way to make Mum comfortable. The room was pleasant and quiet and Mum was quite visibly at ease. We are deeply grateful to the whole team at Little Haven, we are so glad that Mum was able to spend her final days with such a wonderful team of caring professionals.

Overall Experience

When Mum first came to live at Little Haven she was in very poor shape both physically and mentally and the outlook was not good. But with the superb care she received from the staff she improved beyond all expectations. She would never have been able to return to independent living but she had begun to enjoy life again. The programme of activities and the attention she received from the staff rejuvenated her mental state such that there was virtually no evidence of dementia, she could hold normal conversations and had a good grasp of current affairs. Sadly, no-one foresaw the massive stroke coming but the care she received in her final days was the best. The staff also cared for us, her family and nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you to the kitchen staff for the endless pots of tea and sandwiches as we sat with Mum in her final hours! The whole place feels like one big family and I can't praise them highly enough.
