Since this nursing home has changed hands. It is amazing, the place is clean and welcoming. The staff are happy and have walky talkies for easier access to other staff. The residents are enjoying great activities and look happy and contented. It's great. The home has improved tremendously.

My cousin has only been in NFNH for 3 weeks. I moved him into the home from hospital in Wales to be near me and was rather nervous about how he would adapt. However, he has improved so much as they are taking such good care of him and he is happy and so that makes me happy too. He is well fed, always
clean and tidy, clothes washed regularly. The surroundings and gardens are beautiful, his room is large and I cannot find fault with anything. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The home itself is always clean and tidy. He seems to be eating well and enjoying his food. Thank you to all the staff.

Our positive experience started when we parked the car at New Forest Nursing Home and heard a singer singing to the residents in the beautiful gardens, this was quickly followed by a warm welcome and tour by the lovely receptionist Lorna which immediately put us at ease.
Our next impression was how
clean the home felt and the feeling of being more like in a good hotel than a care home. The staff were smiling and interacting with the happy residents, we knew within the first 5 minutes this was the home for our Dad.
Since moving in my Dad has been very happy regularly taking part in the varied activities that are organised in the week which he loves. We couldn't be more happy with my Dad being in such a wonderful home with truly amazing staff. We know he is being really well cared for which is a huge comfort for us, I can't recommend New Forest Nursing Home enough.

From the very first interaction with a staff member on reception at the New Forest Nursing Home, I instantly knew that this was the right place for my Grandmother. The team can never do enough for us as her family or directly for her and make us feel welcome at all times.
After viewing many potential
home options, this was our golden ticket - the room sizes are fantastic, the landscape is beautiful and the team are wonderful.
The New Forest Nursing Home made a difficult decision of moving our Grandmother into a nursing home more comfortable and reassuring, answering all our questions and even helping move her items into her room ready for her arrival.

When my wife was admitted to NFNH following a long period in hospital, we did not expect her to be with us for long. The quality of the care and nursing has been exemplary and a major contribution to her health and quality of life, so much so she us still with us., three years later. The staff have
been excellent and helped look after us too.

Cant speak more highly of this nursing home. The care is second to none and we couldn't of chosen a better place for our mum. Everywhere is spotless and the staff are lovely.

We are so pleased we found New Forest Fritham, the home is well kept and stands in beautiful grounds, the rooms are well furnished and comfortable and it feels, home from home when you enter. My Dad was welcomed here in September 2024 for palliative care. The home's management worked with me and the funding teams to have my Mum, who also needed a placement somewhere, in the home too, actually giving her the room next door to him so that they could spend the last few weeks together. This
was of great importance to us all as my parents had not been apart since they were married in 1962, and had found the separation of her recent hospital admission very distressing. Thank you.
The staff looked after Dad with care and compassion until he died last winter, and all the staff, from reception, housekeeping, catering, nurses and carers continue to be very kind, caring and attentive to Mum. Everyone has been very supportive to us as daughters too.
NFNH is very clean, bright and tidy, and has lovely decorations throughout the year, celebrating the seasons and annual occasions. All the staff interact with the residents and it's good to see smiles and chatter between them all.

My Mother is almost 103 years old, blind and very deaf. She lived alone, but after experiencing falls, she and we decided it was time for her to be cared for in a home. She spent 6 weeks in a care home but was very unhappy and so was transferred to the New Forest Nursing Home. She was welcomed warmly,
given a lovely light room and has been happy ever since. She has been in the home for approx 18 months. The staff are very kind and caring. It is not easy for them because of her blindness and being deaf, but she has never complained. Her medical needs are looked after well and she says the food is very good. There are regular activities, although Mum does not take part because of her disabilities. The decoration is to a very high standard. We feel blessed to have found such a wonderful home.

My dad was lucky enough to be admitted to the New Forest Nursing Home just before Christmas. While he wasn't there for long, as he has sadly now passed away, I just want to put on record what a wonderful place this is. The staff looked after him with so much care, putting his wellbeing and dignity at
the heart of everything they did.
So thank you so much New Forest Nursing Home, it's good to know that there are still people who care.

My Mum has settled in very well and has benefited from the many activities that you have there. Including gardening club, crafts and enjoying being taken out in the garden and outside the home. She has enjoyed listening to the singers that come in to entertain and the staff seem friendly and attentive.
She
has said how much she is enjoying being there. Particularly as she came from hospital, quite unwell and unsteady on her feet. And her home had begun not to work for her and her independence. She is enjoying the food as well and always mentions there are choices should she not like anything. She has begun to make friends with the residents and staff. A most positive experience for her. It's nice to visit her as a son and not as a carer, so we have benefited too.

Following discharge from hospital after a fall my mother became a resident.
The team were caring and attentive to her needs and prioritised her dignity and comfort at all times.
I was always greeted with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. The food was exceptional and the room was kept to a

I visited my friend's mum several times during Jan and Feb 2024 and always found her spotless and well cared for. The staff, from the receptionist to the catering staff and carers, were always happy and cheerful and nothing was too much trouble for them.
You couldn't find fault with the compassion
and care which my friend's mum received from the minute she arrived after being discharged from hospital after breaking her hip and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

My late Mother was a resident here for 3 months from February 2024. My Mother was admitted to the home following surgery for a fractured neck of femur. Prior to this, she had been independently mobile. The surgery went well and Mum was sitting out of bed whilst she was in hospital. Initially, the home
appeared good, however, they did not offer rehabilitation and they did not adhere to requests for agreed care. For example, my Mother did not want male carers attending to her personal care but this was disregarded on more than one occasion. There was a disconcerting lack of consistency in the quality of the care from individual staff.

From the first day My mother-in-law arrived at the home, we have found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble.
She came in as end-of-life and feeding at risk from the 2nd day she asked me if she could have something to eat the senior nurse and chef obliged with
some puree-cooked food, which we spoon-fed her, we took it slowly as she hadn’t had any food in hospital in the prior 7 weeks. She thoroughly enjoyed it. We were able to take her outside with her great-grandchildren for an Easter egg hunt. Easter Sunday was her birthday, the staff went out of their way to give her a cake card and present. Afterwards, she did not want to go back to her room she stayed for a while in the lounge. This was the first time she had mixed with people in many years. This is the review for the first few weeks of her stay. We are incredibly happy so far.
She has now been here for 5 weeks and improving every day.

Sometimes it's difficult to find the words to adequately reflect the quality of an experience and that's the case with the New Forest Nursing Home and all the staff who work there. My father entered the home for palliative care after four months in hospital, where he had become extremely distressed.
We visited him two days after his admission and the difference in him was astounding. He was calm, smiling and couldn't wait to tell us how beautiful the view of the grounds was from his window. He received wonderful care, in every sense of the word. He was given respect and dignity and he was delighted that all the staff took the time to chat to him and to laugh and joke with him. Care was extended to all our family, with chats and updates on the phone and the care and compassion shown to my elderly mother was a tremendous help to her - I'd also like to mention the care taken to give my father a room with a view of the grounds after I'd mentioned his love of nature. Five stars plus.

The care provided to my father has been consistently good. The staff always seem kind and cheerful. Health problems were efficiently monitored and appropriate action taken. Liasion with the local GP appeared to be very good. The food was consistently good and wholesome and the overall atmosphere friendly
and welcoming.
