The care has been amazing, every staff member has made my father feel at home
I feel very fortunate to of found this wonderful home
My mum who visits daily always stays for lunch
It always feel home from home
Cannot recommend Cedar lawn enough.
My mother was referred to the Cedar Lawn in May 2025 suffering from several health problems including a UTI which affected her behaviour. She is also bed-bound and unable to perform most physical functions. She had always been apprehensive about going into a care home. Despite all these problems she has been professionally cared for with empathy, patience, and kindness, and is now settled and grateful to be there. The staff and management have developed a great relationship with her, and us, her family, with constant communication and updates. They are very quick in identifying any need she might have, medical or personal, and putting the necessary measures in place. The food is also excellent, and she is now eating again (having stopped during her stay in hospital). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cedar Lawn to any potential care-user.
She often told me how kind everyone was and particularly the chefs who always came into her room and spent time with her while taking her choice of meals for the day.
I personally think that the care was so good due to the smaller size of the home and the staff to resident ratio that was far better than larger care homes, my mother was blind and therefore the more personal touch was much better for my mothers needs.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cedar Lawn to anyone requiring nursing care.
Dear Chris,
Thank you so much for your kind words. You are exactly right, as a smaller home, we really get to know our residents and can provide truly personalised care with higher staff ratios. It was a pleasure to care for your mother.
The home is well managed and many of the staff have worked there for a number of years. As a result and because of its size I felt that the staff got to know the residents as individuals.
Throughout her stay I found the staff were welcoming , kind and friendly. I was kept well-informed by the nursing staff and any issues were quickly addressed by the manager.
The home has good facilities, and offers a range of activities and social events, to which relatives were welcomed.
My heartfelt thanks to all of you for Mum's care.
It fitted what I required for my wife who whilst forgetful is not considered to have dementia. Her requirement was a secure Care Home where she could interact with other people not being bothered their condition or status. In my mind she should not be left alone for hours during the day and her meals to be in the lounge always mixing.. This was a great success and avoided any a moments when she could be anxious.
Thank you Howard for your kind words. You are absolutely right, it is so key for staff to spend as much time as possible with residents and I am pleased this was your experience of our fantastic team at Cedar Lawn.
Cedar Lawn provide an excellent home and service. Their compassion, caring and communication is exemplary. Nothing is too much trouble in helping the resident settle in. My sister-in-law has been very challenging but the Cedar Lawn staff have calmly and gently tried a variety of ways of engaging her. They have kept the family well informed and engaged at all times. I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff from management to housekeeping to catering to care team, congratulations!
All the staff are friendly, helpful and supportive, they always have mums best interests at heart. The home is very clean, the food is excellent and there are activities and events planned to enable the residents to have a good experience. The care manager, and all the staff are available to talk to, we, as a family, are very impressed with everything and mum is happy.

I moved here from a sheltered home in London. Everyone here is so kind and I feel wanted. The food is excellent.
I am so glad you moved in with us, thank you for choosing Cedar Lawn. My colleagues are first rate and enjoy being with our Residents. They are very kind and the chef is extremely talented! I hope you enjoy every day with us, best wishes.
I have always been welcomed by the staff when visiting and treated with respect. The staff are cheerful and friendly. The care was managed very well at the end of life and every comfort was available. The resident was entirely satisfied with the help he was given.
My condolences for your loss. It is so very generous of you to write on our behalf at this sad time, we really appreciate it. My colleagues in Cedar Lawn are always warm and cheerful. They recognise both the responsibility and the privilege we share in providing our service and care. Take care and thank you.

They're all very extremely kind and on top of their many years experience, this makes all the difference in how the home feels, and how well the Residents enjoy living there. That's the best outcome for us all.
My Aunt has been warmly welcomed into this care home and very quickly said she wouldn't want to go back to her old home. All staff are friendly, have helped her settle in, they ensure that she eats well, and encourage her to join activities. Her friends were happy to visit too as they weren't sure what to expect. Thank you to you all.
I am delighted that your Aunt's friends are happy to visit, that's such great support and comfort to your Aunt. Everyone eats well in Cedar Lawn, the chef is amazing and puts his heart and soul into everything he produces. Our Cedar Lawn colleagues are warm and happy, they love the work they do,...
The staff was very helpful from the initial visit through to managing admission and the settling in period. Nothing is too much trouble and communication is good. Such a relief! We are very happy with our choice and it is indeed a home from home. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your review. I loved reading that you've found our beautiful Cedar Lawn as a 'home from home'. This is such a lovely relaxed happy place to be. That is because, as you say, nothing is too much trouble for our Cedar Lawn colleagues. I wish your Resident a long and happy stay with us. Best wishes and thanks.
The carers are always friendly and listen to any concerns. When visiting I am always made to feel welcome. I feel that the organized activities are fun and interactive.
They do their best for all the residents.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. The food in Cedar Lawn is fantastic, isn't it? The whole team is warm and happy and they have a great boss, so it's always a happy place to be. I do apologise for the time it's taking for us to sort out a new bus. We're on the case! Thank you.
Overall a very nice place to reside.

My sister was cared for at Cedar Lawn from the 9th of February after her discharge from the hospital. The manager and her team looked after her extremely well. The food was excellent, the staff caring and attentive and she was very comfortable there. Having seen several nursing homes over the years Cedar Lawn is one of the best I have been to.
Hello, thanks for your review. Isn't Cedar Lawn a lovely home? It always feels so relaxed and happy and warm. I think that's because of the wonderful team with their caring manager but also the residents are really lovely. It feels like a great family home. Thank you for sharing your views with us, it's very much appreciated. Best wishes.
Cedar Lawn Nursing Home was so much the perfect place for our mum. She wasn’t in a good place when she arrived there and was on the decline. Sadly, within two weeks she passed away, but during her short time there the care, compassion, professionalism, and respect shown to her by every single member of staff was first class. From the manager and her assistant, the lead nurse and her staff, the carers, the auxiliaries, through to the cook, the maintenance guys, every one of them were kind, thoughtful and considerate in their approach to their roles. Thank you Cedar Lawn for making Mum so comfortable and cared for in her final days. My sister and I, and our families, are so grateful to you, hopefully from this you can work out who we are!
Hello. Firstly, I am sorry to read of your loss. It's very very kind of you to write to us at this difficult time, we really genuinely appreciate the kindness. My colleagues in Cedar Lawn are first class aren't they? Such a great group of people who not only do their work so well, they really enjoy...
My mother moved into Cedar Lawn nursing home during covid restrictions but settled quickly because the staff are kind and thoughtful. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated and mother’s room has big windows overlooking the lawn. The Chef cooks meals which are always freshly cooked and appetising and the residents eat together in the dining room. The nursing staff deliver excellent care and I am informed immediately of any medical issues. The activities coordinator provides a cheerful atmosphere with creative activities which are ability appropriate, this is key to keeping residents engaged and mentally active and is a difficult task with a group of elderly residents who have different levels of physical and mental capacity. The activities room is airy with plenty of light and space to store craft materials. I am always made to feel welcome and many of the staff have worked there for several years as there is a happy family atmosphere where people care about each other.
Thank you for your comprehensive, thoughtful review. You've obviously considered all the elements that go into making a lovely home and found our Cedar Lawn worthy. It's a lovely space, the food is fantastic but more than that, the care and service are warm and natural so everyone feels at...
And finally, the food is amazing! The chef prepares restaurant-quality food and bakes the most beautiful cakes. I am very happy with the care provided at Cedar Lawn.
Hello, thank you for your lovely comments. I was so delighted to read them, as you've really captured what is special in Cedar Lawn. It is a very lovely home filled with character and charm. However, my colleagues in Cedar Lawn are genuinely fantastic. It's a warm, happy place, and oh yes, the food is really, really good! With my best wishes to you and your aunt.
I would just like to say that I thought the coffee morning here was absolutely lovely. The staff were so kind and attentive. The cook had made delicious cakes and it was all beautifully arranged. Thank you all so much for a lovely morning.
Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. I'm so glad you enjoyed our Morning Tea. The food and service in Cedar Lawn are always wonderful!
Cheers and thank you.
My uncle was transferred to Cedar Lawn following a fall and surgery for a broken hip. Staff could not have been more helpful; an assessment visit was arranged immediately and a room made available pending his transfer. A potentially very stressful situation was managed to perfection. Staff were always very accommodating and welcoming, with some going above and beyond to provide companionship, enrichment and care.
Hello. I am so glad to hear we supported you well through this challenging situation. Our Cedar Lawn colleagues are always warm and supportive of residents and families, they're very kind. They will be as delighted as I am to read your kind feedback, thank you. Best wishes.

After Bianca qualified as a nurse in Romania in 2000, her passion for helping others saw her seeking a career in community nursing care. To achieve and further this ambition, she moved to England in 2005, working as a nurse in a care home.
Having joined in Cedar Lawn in 2019, she is now in 2022 the Registered Manager. Bianca loves the warm, welcoming atmosphere and delights in the joy that the staff team bring to residents.

Izzy began working at Cedar Lawn in the domestic team in 2011 and worked in many of the other departments over the years, before settling into the role of Administrator in 2022.
After initially assisting home manager Bianca with some small admin tasks during the Covid period. Izzy soon realised that the administrator role suited her skills much more than anything else she had done at Cedar Lawn. Izzy particularly enjoys helping others and getting to know the residents more. Being part of a supportive team who all work together to ensure Cedar Lawn is a happy home is another bonus in her current role, so when the opportunity to move into the administrator role permanently came up it was the obvious next step in her career and she has gone on to flourish in the role.
Izzy has proved herself to be an invaluable member of the team, always there to support not just their residents but also their families and friends and other members of the Cedar Lawn TeamIn her spare time.
Izzy loves to travel and visit new countries whenever possible, enjoying the different cultures and cuisines, Izzy also loves spending time with her family, especially her nephews
