White Rock nursing home provides high-quality care, and was one of the first nursing homes to offer specialist dementia care. It is conveniently placed near the sea and a short drive from the New Forest, providing a homely atmosphere where person-centred care is offered to individuals to help them remain as independent-minded and active as possible.

The home believes in the right of every resident to freedom of choice, privacy and personal dignity. Respect is central to all care services provided, with spiritual and medical needs of residents always being looked after. Activities are offered on a regular basis, including music therapy and sitting exercise sessions.

Highly qualified care staff at the home have either achieved or are working towards NVQ qualifications, levels 2 or 3. Care staff work alongside skilled nurses to provide a high standard of care.

White Rock has always genuinely cared for Mum; she couldn't be in better hands. Always made to feel welcome whatever time I arrive. All family members welcome. Also, even great-grandchildren. Always kept informed of any doctor appointments etc made for Mum or any change in her condition. Always lots
of entertaining things happening too, although, sadly, Mum can't participate.

My mum has been a resident of White Rock for 10 months. When she first moved there, I was very nervous and unsure on her behalf. Sadly, she is unable to make any of life's decisions for herself anymore. I need not have worried, she is looked after by people who time and time again show how much they
care and respect her, she is now having to be cared for in bed. I know that I can trust all at White Rock to make my mum's final days as happy and as comfortable as possible.

This wonderful nursing home has provided a caring environment for my dad to reside. I've witnessed a noticeable improvement in my father's dementia symptoms during the first few months of his stay and I put this down to him feeling comfortable, happy and safe. I visit on varied days and times and the
ethos instilled in the staff is amazing. They obviously care for the residents as far as their daily needs but it's obvious to me that they really do care. The rapport and banter with the residents, each one an individual and some with challenging behaviours, shows an understanding of their personalities and backgrounds which, I feel, makes the elderly residents feel valued.
This has been our second experience with a nursing home for dad and I wouldn't hesitate in strongly recommending White Rock to anyone I knew with nursing home requirements.

My father was made to feel welcome and cared for from the beginning. The staff were really good at understanding his needs and giving him a sense of autonomy in his care. I always felt the staff went above and beyond to ensure my fathers last year of his life was as comfortable and reassuring as it
could be. I am extremely grateful for the high level of care he received.
