Larchmere House Care Home

I have no hesitation in unreservedly recommending Larchmere House.

I would like to express my thanks and those of my family, to all the nurses and staff who looked after my brother whilst he was a resident in Larchmere House. It is clearly a home that genuinely prides itself on the overall quality of care given to all its residents and this was evident during each visit. We all find it very comforting to know that he was receiving such loving care and attention and we are most grateful to all those who put that little bit extra into making my brother's life that little bit better than it might otherwise have been.

I found Larchmere House Care Home offered a high standard of care to my grandmother. The care home offered a lot of activities/events, which although my grandmother didn't partake in, I thought were excellent for residents and families. The care home went out of their way to ensure she ate well despite her never wanting to eat the menu on offer that day. The care was very individualised. Towards end of life, the carers and nurses were extremely attentive to the needs of my grandmother and supported our family well. I would recommend this to others who require nursing care.

Pleasant country village surroundings with a homely (non-establishment) feeling. We found the staff truly cared, showing interest in my husband and relating to him and his past background and reminiscences. It enabled a bond that took him out of his dementia to brighten his day. A sunny day in the garden made a lovely atmosphere and whilst he couldn't partake in the outings, they made a special effort for outings, tea parties and quizzes. All then that we needed - caring and dignity

In the 3 years my very elderly mother was a resident she was always very well cared for and compassionately treated.

Larchmere House staff provide exceptional care for my elderly mother over a 3 year period. They also took my father "under their wing" as he visited daily. They responded to my questions regarding her medication and end of life care with patience and understanding. Dad and I are very grateful to have had this care.

A really lovely nursing home. Every single person working at Larchmere showed kindness, friendliness and support. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The meals were extremely good and the alternatives were always offered. Great emphasis was placed on cleanliness. There were activities organised every day and many trips out throughout the year. An excellent home where the staff really do care about the residents and their family.

The food is freshly cooked every day and delicious. I have made a lot of friends at Larchmere, both residents and staff.

The care home is very clean, friendly staff, helpful staff and excellent food. Good activities available although my cousin does not use them. Feel very happy, she is in good care.

My mum, who is wheelchair-bound, has been on trips down the Medway, cream teas in various locations and is about to go to the theatre. Most importantly, she is happy and content.

We thank them all for making her last years happy ones.

My mother has been a resident at Larchmere for nearly a year now and we cannot fault the care that she has been given in this time. The focus is on the care and well-being of the residents rather than spending lots of money making the home look impressive. The staff are all excellent and led by a very good management team, which leads to a very friendly, supportive environment for the residents. Activities take place daily and there is usually at least one trip out each month. My mother is extremely happy at Larchmere and we would have no hesitation recommending the home to anyone.
