I can't fault the treatment my aunt was given. Caring, kind, sensitive, staff professional at all times. Special thanks go to the Wellbeing Team for all the wonderful activities they provide, & how they care for the Residents they look after. Namely Michelle, Nadine + Sarah Jane, were just amazing with Jean & everyone
Friends and relatives are made so welcome and, speaking as someone who has enjoyed a meal there several times, the food is very good so well done to the kitchen team.
The place is always clean and my friend's room always looks neat & tidy so the cleaners do a great job, as do the laundry staff who return my friend's clean clothes to her wardrobe on hangers every day, and the excellent handyman.
We are pleased that your friend has responded well to our interventions and thankyou very much for your kind comments about our fantastic team of staff.
To clarify why I have put "satisfactory" for activities, new ideas need to be put forward. The group is excellent when working with the outside entertainers.
Thankyou for completing the review. We were disappointed to find that you felt the activities provided by our Well Being Team were not to your taste, we would love to hear any ideas you have and have to wonder why you've not brought this to our attention on the many occasions that you have stayed with us over the years, maybe when you return in a couple of weeks you could share your ideas with us.
The staff are excellent and very caring, especially during Mum's last weeks. The only issue was there was no phone signal in Mum's room.
The care that my aunt received exceeded any expectation we had from an already highly regarded nursing home. The staff made her and our family so welcome from the moment we arrived. She had a beautiful room, that was immaculate. My aunt received end of life care at the home of the highest standard where she was treated with dignity and respect. We would highly recommend Singleton to all with 100% confidence. Thanks to you all.
Thankyou for your kind comments and I am glad you found our support to you helpful at what was a difficult time for you all.
My mother was resident in this home for approx 6 months before her death. She enjoyed being in the home. The room was lovely, clean and spacious. The care staff were kind and respectful, she enjoyed the activities, but also liked that she could also just stay in her room and read if she wanted to. All the staff were kind and helpful.
Thankyou for your kind comments, we are pleased she enjoyed being with us.
My Aunt had been a resident of the care home for the last 8 years prior to her passing at the age of 95. Throughout this period my Aunt has received an excellent level of care at all times and she always appreciated the kindness and respect shown to her on a daily basis by all of the staff. It was a great comfort to me to know that she was being well looked after and I cannot praise the staff enough for their support.
Thankyou for your kind comments ,your aunt had become a member of our family and we all loved her. She is very much missed
If anyone asks me to recommend a care home, this will be right at the top of the list
Thank you each and everyone
Thankyou for your kind comments, it is sad when we have a resident with us for such a short time.
Walking into Singleton Nursing Home always felt like being embraced by a big hug - the staff were so welcoming, cheerful and helpful. Dad was discharged from hospital to the home in April 2025. We have always appreciated the way in which he has been cared for with efficiency and empathy by the Team. Staff kept in touch and I have appreciated updates and discussion regarding Dad's needs. They have always been so helpful when I have phoned them. The variety and number of activities laid on by the Well Being Team are most impressive - from musical entertainment, arts, crafts and cooking to presentation and films. We looked at many potential homes for Dad and are so glad that Singleton were able to take him.
Thankyou for your kind comments, its always so nice to know we have helped people and their families
My parents in laws moved into Singleton Nursing and residential home May 20th 2025. MIL was end of life. During her time at the home her care was faultless. She was always treated with care and dignity. Explained everything to the family and kept us updated. MIL passed away at the home on 12th June 2025. The staff was wonderful to us all in the days before her death, nothing was to much for them. FIL is still a resident at SNRH. We can not fault his care and welfare. We could not ask for a better place for him.
Thankyou for your kind comments, we are pleased you chose us to care for your in laws, we were sad when mil passed away as she was a very nice lady but fil is such a lovely gentleman that its our pleasure to look after him.
Our dear mum especially loved the amazing activities program and learned many new skills the last couple of years of her life.
Thank you to all at Singleton, for taking care of our mum. This home is first class.
I always had a warm welcome from the receptionist. Medical staff were always available to bring me up to date with any health concerns. The caring staff always treated my family member with love and respect. The premises were always clean and tidy and well maintained.
My friend has been in this home for 18 months appox; I have visited almost every week. In all that time everyone from nurses, carers, the girls who do the activities, the admin and all the backroom staff do a great job. They are all so caring. I would recommend this nursing home to any of my loved ones if it was necessary, even for myself if it came to it.
Thank you for your lovely comments, and if you ever need us, we would be happy to help.
Very kind to my dad and nursed him back to health.
Can't thank you enough
Thank you for your kind comments and we hope your Dad continues to feel well.
My dad had been in hospital for 2 months and was in the late stages of dementia. We wanted him to be in a home that felt like a real home. Dad was only there a week before he died. All the staff were so kind and caring and looked after him and us as a family with such compassion. We will always be grateful he was at Singleton Nursing and Residential Home in his final days.
Thank you so much for your kind comments, it was our pleasure to look after your lovely Dad
We, as a family, cannot praise Singleton Nursing and Residential Home highly enough. From the initial contact, the care, both nursing and administration, were absolutely wonderful. The staff are professional, caring and dedicated. The activities team were passionate. Thank you team Singleton for all your hard work and care.
Thankyou so much for your kind comments, we are pleased that you were happy with our care provision
My father was not keen when medics advised he needed the services of a residential nursing home. He and us as a family could not have been made more welcome and he soon adjusted. The care and support we all received was exemplary. I would certainly not hesitate to recommend the services of this home......
Just want to say a massive thank you for the love and care shown by the whole team at Singleton Nursing Home. My Dad, Dave, wasn't looking forward to going into a home but couldn't believe the level of support he was given. Thank you for making his final weeks so comfortable xx
It was our pleasure look after your lovely Dad and I am pleased you felt supported through what was a very tough time
My stepfather stayed here till his passing in may 2025.Every member off staff are amazing .attentive and loving .Staff became my stepfather's Family. . Dignity in his full say there. I witnessed people passing when I stayed there .which is difficult to see and to see the staff upset too speaks volumes of the nursing home . My stepfather when he came to the home had been left in St Thomas in London and had just 2 friends who called in when they could. His placement at singleton changed that in the most positive way .The home has entertainers most days and all are included . Food is great and regular meal times. My stepfather was always clean shaven washed every day . The home always was clean and a good buzz about it . The last week with my stepfather was difficult to see a loved one passing .The staff were amazing as always ,their care extended to myself and other family members as it was through my stepfather's stay . We love every one of you . Thank you all from our hearts
Thankyou for your kind comments, we are glad you felt supported
He didn't have much of an appetite but the staff encouraged him to eat and would provide food and snacks that appealed to him.
I was able to visit at any time and the staff ensured that I was also being look after.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Singleton nursing home.
