It was a big move for our aunt to leave her home and go into a nursing home but from the day we met the deputy manager and staff at Singleton we knew she would be welcomed, listened to and cared for. In fact, we all were as a family. The staff were very accommodating of her requests, making the transition
from home easier and were supportive throughout her stay.
Her room was lovely, bright, clean and able to accommodate all that she wanted and needed.
The care our aunt received was excellent; any issues were quickly acted upon and everything the staff could do to make her feel less anxious was done with a smile and a willingness to do the best they could at all times.
When it became apparent that she needed end-of-life care the communication was excellent and the care was everything we hoped and believed it would be. They were so gentle with her, professional throughout and ensured she was comfortable. They made a difficult time so much easier and we will be forever grateful.

My dad went to Singleton from hospital for end-of-life care. The whole team were so welcoming and the care and support he and my family received was exceptional.

My mum was a resident for two and a half years. She was very well looked after and enjoyed all her activities, which were varied. She made lots of friends and enjoyed all her meals. All the staff are very caring. The home has a very happy atmosphere. My mum's final moments were calm and well cared for.

Having moved my relative from a totally poor care home to Singleton due to nursing requirements, the outcome is amazing. She now feels safe, and it is great to see a smile on her face again.
No longer is she placed in a corner in front of a TV and basically ignored all day.

From the moment I contacted Singleton Nursing and Residential Home regarding some respite care for my mum, the manager, assistant manager and all the team dealt with me in a professional, kind manner. They also cared for my mum in a gentle, respectful way. I would recommend Singleton Nursing and Residential

My mum was admitted from the hospital, where she had received mediocre care. She was welcomed and reassured all her necessary personal items were put in place. It was obvious she was dying. The end-of-life care she received was excellent. She was always symptom controlled. The family were welcomed at
all times and kept informed of events. The staff, two in particular, were always empathetic, making a potentially bad experience a supportive tolerable one.

It is always a sad day when one of our dear residents passes away - we established a relationship with them, and we miss them when they have gone, but we take great comfort in the kind comments given, as we do strive to make everything peaceful and as comfortable as it can be for all involved.

I cannot thank you enough for making Mum's last days so comfortable. All of you always treated Mum with kindness and compassion, and nothing was too much trouble for you. From the minute we contacted the manager at the nursing home, she welcomed us. The care from all the staff was first class, and we couldn't have wished more for our mum. She was treated like a Queen, and nothing was too much trouble for anything she needed. I would highly recommend Singleton Nursing.

My mother was in Singleton Nursing and Residential Home from March 21 to December 22. Throughout her stay, all the staff worked hard as a team to deliver the best service possible. The words that best describe the team are professional, caring, patient, compassionate and empathetic, ensuring dignity
and, last but not least, fun. At the end of her life, they worked hard to ensure that Mum passed away peacefully with me by her side. I cannot thank them enough for taking such good care of my very precious mother.

My mother was very reluctant to go into a care home when the time came. After her first day, all worries disappeared. The staff made her feel at ease. Nothing was too much trouble. They kept us informed as to her care and condition every step of the way. Not once did the smiles slip from their faces,
even during difficult times. Thank you all for the way my mother was treated with dignity to the end. You also all eased our sorrow as a family. Just a great shame her last journey at the care home has to be indignantly in a small lift.

We have been more than happy with the care my relative received at Singleton Nursing and Residential Home.
Since moving into Singleton, eighteen months ago, he really thrived. The improvement in his physical and mental well-being was obvious. The care and kindness shown by all the staff were a joy.
The place was always clean, and no smells of cabbage and wee!

Compassion, respect, dignity, worth, caring and professional.
Singleton care home is above and beyond all expectations.
The care is exemplary, not just the nursing and care staff, domestic, kitchen and maintenance.
My father went to Singleton frail and was expected to be end-of-life. In their
care, he "thrived" and began eating and conversing.
"Thank you" simply doesn't appear to be enough to express my deepest gratitude for making his last days happy and safe.

When my mother moved into Singleton Nursing home in the summer of 2020 at the age of 99, it was clearly a major upheaval in her life. However, from the very start, the staff and management were extremely welcoming, which quickly put my mother at ease. Throughout her time at Singleton Nursing home, the
staff and carers were fantastic, ensuring her final years were extremely fulfilling. I cannot speak too highly of the team at Singleton Nursing home. Placing a close relative into care is never easy. However, the staff at Singleton Nursing home are amazing, and neither I nor my mother had any reason whatsoever to think we hadn't made the right choice. I will always be grateful for everything they did.
