The level of activities provided during the week were excellent and included trips outside to shops and a local pub/restaurant. Overall, mum was very happy during her stay which was great comfort for me.
My uncle was very happy during his time at the nursing residential home. He was extremely well cared for and all the staff were caring and went out of their way to be helpful. Both management and day staff knew his name and he was treated with respect and as an individual and not just a name or a room number. Highly recommend this facility. Many thanks.
Thankyou for your kind comments, we will all miss your lovely uncle,it was a pleasure to look after him.
I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care my mother received during her five-week stay at Singleton Nursing Home. Admitted with a terminal illness, she was treated with genuine compassion, kindness by the entire staff. The facility was always immaculately clean and provided a warm, welcoming environment for all her visitors. Towards the end of her life, we could be with Mum as much as we needed. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts; your kindness truly made a difference in our lives during the challenge.
Thankyou for your very kind comments, it really was our pleasure to look after your lovely Mum.
Mum (age 94) went in just for 1 weeks respite care in March but when she came back home she was full of praise for the staff. i was a little concerned before going in as mum is type 1 Diabetic so needed insulin jabs every morning at the correct no. of units and knowing how particular she is over her food didn't know how she was going to react as this was her first time in a home of any sort, but needn't had worried as everything went smoothly and they even gave me a printed out report copy of all meds that had taken place over that week, with readings recorded for blood pressure and blood sugar levels, excellent. Mum said she had enjoyed the lunches and activities that were available during each day, so overall would say could well be using them again in the future.
Many thanks for your kind comments and hope to help again
I'm writing this review whilst sitting at the bedside of my mum who heartbreakingly, probably won't get to feel the sun upon her face tomorrow. Mum only arrived here 2 weeks ago and in that time, every single person involved in mum's care have been nothing but kind, empathetic and treated mum with so much respect and love. But, that love and kindness as been extended to myself and other members of the family. I know tonight is going to be hard but I genuinely feel the staff here are supporting me like they are family and friends. So Thank you Singleton x
Thank you for your kind comments ,we were sad that your dear Mum was not with us very long
This was Dad's second visit to Singleton Nursing and Residential Home. He had been looking forward to returning for Christmas, fun, games and company. Sadly Dad became unwell unexpectedly and was cared for very well by the nursing and care staff. The care staff also looked after us as a family and we were well supported. We are very grateful Dad was in such a lovely, caring environment for his last days.
A very caring home and all staff approachable and willing to assist. Room and cleanliness 5 stars. Empathy and respect a common traits. The manager and her team are delivering the care promised 24 hours 365 days. One staff member was very understanding and explained medical conditions with clarity. Another staff member raised the spirits of someone terminally ill. Life was to be enjoyed, great home, great staff.
Please extend our heartfelt thanks to your brilliant team, who were always cheerful and encouraging to mum.
Thank you for your kind comments. It's nice to know that you all felt supported by our team at this sad and difficult time.
Overall a very good experience. You are treated by a caring staff who will try and satisfy any request. Accommodation is good with activity every day. The food is of good quality and presented well. Only slight hesitation over poor limited TV channels. It would not cost much to offer certain channels. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility.
Mum was at Singleton for over 4 years, she was always treated very well by all of the staff, in her final days they could not have been more attentive both for Mum by giving her the ongoing care to make her comfortable but also the family when they were either just visiting or being at Mums bedside. I am so pleased we chose Singleton Nursing Home for Mum to live. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind comments it was our pleasure to look after your lovely Mum.
Her room was lovely, bright, clean and able to accommodate all that she wanted and needed.
The care our aunt received was excellent; any issues were quickly acted upon and everything the staff could do to make her feel less anxious was done with a smile and a willingness to do the best they could at all times.
When it became apparent that she needed end-of-life care the communication was excellent and the care was everything we hoped and believed it would be. They were so gentle with her, professional throughout and ensured she was comfortable. They made a difficult time so much easier and we will be forever grateful.
My dad went to Singleton from hospital for end-of-life care. The whole team were so welcoming and the care and support he and my family received was exceptional.
Thank you for your kind comments, it was a pleasure to care for such a lovely person.
My mum was a resident for two and a half years. She was very well looked after and enjoyed all her activities, which were varied. She made lots of friends and enjoyed all her meals. All the staff are very caring. The home has a very happy atmosphere. My mum's final moments were calm and well cared for.
No longer is she placed in a corner in front of a TV and basically ignored all day.
Thank you for your kind comments; it is always nice to find we have made a difference in a resident's life by simply doing our job.
From the moment I contacted Singleton Nursing and Residential Home regarding some respite care for my mum, the manager, assistant manager and all the team dealt with me in a professional, kind manner. They also cared for my mum in a gentle, respectful way. I would recommend Singleton Nursing and Residential Home for the care of an elderly parent or relative to anyone.
My mum was admitted from the hospital, where she had received mediocre care. She was welcomed and reassured all her necessary personal items were put in place. It was obvious she was dying. The end-of-life care she received was excellent. She was always symptom controlled. The family were welcomed at all times and kept informed of events. The staff, two in particular, were always empathetic, making a potentially bad experience a supportive tolerable one.
It is always a sad day when one of our dear residents passes away - we established a relationship with them, and we miss them when they have gone, but we take great comfort in the kind comments given, as we do strive to make everything peaceful and as comfortable as it can be for all involved.
I cannot thank you enough for making Mum's last days so comfortable. All of you always treated Mum with kindness and compassion, and nothing was too much trouble for you. My sister and I were more than impressed by the way you treated us when we came to visit. Always keeping us in the "loop2 with kindness and generosity. Thank you again.
From the minute we contacted the manager at the nursing home, she welcomed us. The care from all the staff was first class, and we couldn't have wished more for our mum. She was treated like a Queen, and nothing was too much trouble for anything she needed. I would highly recommend Singleton Nursing.
We are always very grateful for confirmation that we are doing the right things for residents and their families.
My mother was in Singleton Nursing and Residential Home from March 21 to December 22. Throughout her stay, all the staff worked hard as a team to deliver the best service possible. The words that best describe the team are professional, caring, patient, compassionate and empathetic, ensuring dignity and, last but not least, fun. At the end of her life, they worked hard to ensure that Mum passed away peacefully with me by her side. I cannot thank them enough for taking such good care of my very precious mother.
Thank you for your comments. We understand life can be difficult and harrowing for our residents and their families, and your kind comments help us to continue to understand the complex feelings that families have when we are caring for their loved one.
My mother was very reluctant to go into a care home when the time came. After her first day, all worries disappeared. The staff made her feel at ease. Nothing was too much trouble. They kept us informed as to her care and condition every step of the way. Not once did the smiles slip from their faces, even during difficult times. Thank you all for the way my mother was treated with dignity to the end. You also all eased our sorrow as a family. Just a great shame her last journey at the care home has to be indignantly in a small lift.
