Meadow View Nursing Home

Mum has high needs through dementia. She moved to Meadow View in June 2023 after seven years in another home. The changes were immediate and refreshing. She spends more time with other residents, eats more readily and seems more content. It's hard to explain, our mum can't communicate verbally, but she just seems happier. I couldn't be more pleased.

I am kept informed at all times. Staff are always helpful and kind.

A care home can never replicate your parents' home but Meadow View gets as close as one can, to make both residents, family and visitors feel they have entered a personal home. From the warm welcome at the door to everyone you meet, throughout the home, it must be a nice place, as the residents make you feel welcome too. My mother spent the last 4 weeks of her life at Meadow View in April 2023, now my father calls Meadow View home. Dad moved in around 8 months later, straight from the hospital, although suffering from worsening dementia, I can see the improvement in his general health and happiness. His care has been everything Dad and I would want, the staff at Meadow View provide amazing, compassionate care and response to everyone they come in contact with. I can now sleep at night knowing Dad is in safe and caring hands.

The food is poor for people with no teeth.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with the care she receives. We are always made welcome. We are always approached in a friendly manner by all staff members. My only comment would be for the garden to be made safe for all residents to use in the summer.

We know we can rest assured that everything is being done for my mother-in-law.

They go above and beyond what you would expect. My mother has been a resident for the past two and a half years, and in September this year, she was admitted to the hospital for a simple procedure and was discharged on palliative care. If she had stayed in the hospital, she would have certainly died, but the care home staff didn't give up on her and nursed her back to health - they are literally lifesavers.

He had a lovely garden view, which was extra splendid. Thank you.

She does seem to have settled in at Meadow View and enjoys being taken for a brew most days. The staff are very patient with her and take good care of her. Thank you all so much; I appreciate it very much. She is very precious to me.

The rooms are a bit small but adequate and would like to use access to the garden but the door is locked.

Our father was a resident at Meadow View Nursing Home for almost two years. During this time the care he received from all the staff was excellent. He could be difficult at times due to his dementia, but these occasions were dealt with in a caring and compassionate manner. The family were updated of changes in medication and well-being. We were also made very welcome during our visits to Meadow View.

My sister has made significant improvements in the two months she has been at Meadow View Nursing Home. The home seems very friendly and my sister is happy.

Excellent nursing home, very well looked after, very caring staff, mum just celebrated her 90th Birthday, and had a lovely cake and presents and the staff are so welcoming and mum is very happy here, we are encouraged to visit with mums great grandchildren and I take my dogs in as mum loves to see them. Mum was very poorly when she moved in and not eating, she now potters about with her frame and loves the food. Thank you very much to all the staff at Meadow View Nursing Home

My wife was at Meadow View for just over two years. As a family, we could not have asked for any better care. She was loved, cared for and looked after by the very best staff, every second she was here. We are so grateful that she spent her last time in such a happy environment which contributed to her peace and comfort until the end. Thank you all from all the family.

All staff have been so kind and helpful - not only to Mum, but also to myself and my father. They have listened to all of my questions and worries and have answered them with courtesy and kindness.

My husband was in Meadow View for end of life care. He, my daughter and myself were all treated with kindness and respect. I can not fault them (the staff) and the care he received.
