My friend came for respite and sadly passed away after 6-7 weeks. Staff are wonderful, caring, and compassionate. Nurses are experienced and approachable. Carers treat family, friends, and residents with kindness, dignity, and respect. I cannot praise all of the staff from cleaners to managers, enough.
Thank you all for making my friend's last few weeks a happy one.

Excellent, caring staff. I knew my husband was in good care, which helped me because of the distance from home, and I was working, so couldn’t get there more than twice a week.
I was always informed of any problems.

Dad became a resident at Burford almost two years ago now, after having been cared for at home by myself for five years, when my mum died. A slightly wobbly start, but the management and staff have gone out of their way to make Dad's new life as nice as possible. Covid has been difficult for everyone,
but Burford have made it as stressless as possible and at the same time, professionally handled. Some great parties for many occasions with lovely catering and decorations. Christmas panto was brilliant, Dad talked about it for days! Sadly, Dad has been pretty poorly for a couple of weeks, but the attention he has received could not have been bettered. Very attentive and nothing too much trouble. Management through to the cleaning staff are fabulous and friendly.
Christmas day we were surprised and thrilled to have private dining with Dad - crackers, streamers napkins, wine, turkey dinner and Christmas pudding. It was so lovely and we will treasure the memory. The staff care! Thank you.

Burford Nursing Home is a truly wonderful care home. My mum has been a resident there for almost one year and during this time, she has received superb care. As a family, we feel very lucky that Mum is a full-time resident there.

My father went to reside in Burford Nursing Home in February 2020. He contracted Covid in March 2020 at the age of 98 years old. Through their excellent nursing and care, he thankfully recovered and we were kept informed of his condition throughout. At such a frightening time in all our lives, it was
a great comfort to us to know that he was in such safe hands. Burford Nursing Home organised an amazing 100th birthday party for my father, we had a lovely time with family and friends and all the other residents and staff celebrating with us. We also enjoyed a platinum jubilee garden party that the nursing home had organised. They went to great lengths to make it a special occasion, the tea and entertainment were excellent. My father sadly passed away not long before he was 101 years old, having spent two and a half years at the nursing home. My family will be forever grateful for all the love and care that was shown to my father and to us. I would thoroughly recommend Burford Nursing Home.

My mother, who has dementia, has been in Burford Nursing home for the past 18 months, and despite commencing a 'reign of terror' within the home for a few weeks upon her initial admittance, she has settled in amazingly well, and considers the place to be home. The staff managed her very well, and despite
her maverick antics, they were all very kind to her. In conjunction with the Doctor, they have adjusted her medication and she is the happiest she has been in years. My father then developed dementia, and the staff offered advice and guidance on his management and told me to ring any time despite him not being in the home at that time. Dad went in on a permanent basis about 3 weeks ago. My parents visited my house for lunch on both Saturday and Sunday, and after about 4 hours, Dad advised me he was ready to return home, meaning the care home. The food is amazing, and all the staff are incredibly kind to both me and my parents. An incredibly well managed care home!

I would definitely recommend Burford Nursing Home to anyone who was looking for a safe, caring environment for their loved one. Mum moved into Burford just before Christmas 2019 and a few months later Covid happened! During the lockdown period, the home was so supportive, arranging telephone calls,
video calls and keeping us regularly informed of how she was during the time we weren't able to visit. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Every member of staff became her family and showed such love and compassion. Any concerns or worries I had were dealt with immediately by the nurse or management. Great support from the Drs at Burford surgery. Sadly Mum passed away in June 2022,
but I know that for her final years we could not have chosen a better, safer, caring place for her to have lived.

The wife was admitted in September 2021 and at first I was not quite sure. Now I find the nursing home at Burford. the staff are very understanding and helpful, and friendly. The rooms comfortable and clean. Visiting well organised. The wife well looked after.

A massive thank you to all the staff at Burford Nursing Home. My father and I enjoyed a lovely afternoon celebrating the Queen’s platinum jubilee at the garden party. It was wonderful to see so many family/friends sharing the occasion with their loved ones who are residents and also the staff. There
was bunting, sandwiches and treats, Pimms and an excellent singer who led some nostalgic songs, all recognised. A memorable day for all.

Mum has been in Burford just over a year. In that time we can see she is well looked after, which is a comfort, and we are always made very welcome. Mum is very deaf and a bit vague and doesn't always remember the things she has been doing, but the staff are always chirpy with her and tell us about
the cakes she has helped make, or the songs she has been listening to. Last year they allowed our wider family to use a room to celebrate her 90th birthday and provided a fantastic cake and refreshments. It was a very happy day. More recently several of us went to the Jubilee garden party, which again was a fabulous event. Everyone was happy, the catering was amazing, with so much food (and Pimms!). Well done everyone for all that effort and generosity.

Up until recently, my dad was a resident here and he was really well looked after in his final year during the lockdown. I was really impressed with the work that went on, even when we weren't allowed in for long periods. Today I met up with the residents for a Love Songs themed singalong session. They
had just enjoyed a special Valentine's lunch and the new dining area walls were decorated with homemade love hearts. There were around a dozen residents and several staff members with me for the singalong and they all seemed in a jolly mood happily joining in with singing and a few funny stories. Afterwards, the residents stayed in the new dining area for a well-earned cup of tea and some love themed macaroons! The residents tell me that they look forward to our weekly singalong sessions and know the day and times that I'm due to be there. It certainly seems to brighten their day and I always get smiles and laughter. Great fun!

We are so incredibly grateful to all of the staff at Burford Nursing Home for the wonderful care that they provided my grandparents in their final years. They respected and treated them with dignity and as individuals getting to know their interests and personalities and linking this to the care that
they provided. The home itself has lovely facilities and the programme of activities was always varied and engaging.
In their final days and hours the team went above and beyond to make sure that we were able to say goodbye for which we will always be thankful. We really could not have wished for them to be in a better place.

My wife has been a resident in Burford Nursing Home for the past 2 years and we have been pleased and impressed by the way in which mangers and all staff have worked to keep everyone safe and as contented as possible , given the difficulties created by the Covid restrictions. They work together to maintain
a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere whilst keeping to the standards in a caring nursing home, The recent acquisition of a minibus for transporting residents-including those in wheelchairs-has been a resounding success as it has provided visits and activities away from the Nursing Home, especially important given the restrictions since the start of Covid. This is overseen and driven by the Activities Organiser on a reservable basis and works extremely well, We are happy with the individual care and attention my wife receives ,delivered in a friendly and caring manner.

I would highly recommend Burford Nursing Home, both my parents have settled in well and are happy at Burford. I feel secure in the knowledge that they are being looked after well and have everything that they could need. The staff have been both friendly and proactive, identifying and raising any changes
in my parent's wellbeing that may require attention. The staff have also supported my sister and I, enabling a smooth transition as our parents moved from their own homes into a nursing home.

Knowing our mum is cared for 24/7 is the most amazing feeling of relief.
Staff are always friendly and welcoming to us when we visit.
Your care during locked and now as things start to change has been great with updates being sent out often.
The Addition of the garden room has been good as we have
been able to visit.
Seeing photos of events is lovely and the effort by staff to make things fun and interesting for our loved ones makes me smile.

Both parents went to the nursing home in May 2020 couldn't ask for better care for them both so kind, made the family feel part of their very special family kept us updated the whole time during lockdown which was so important. Sadly both parents have passed away now, but the last period of their life
was made so special by such kind compassionate carers and staff. They were all so kind thank you for the amazing care you gave them.
