My father was a resident for the last 7 months of his life and he was taken such good care of. I recently was invited to a coffee morning there, I hadn't been to Woodside View since his death, so 15 months gone by. A lovely morning sitting chatting and laughing with staff and residents, and even a bit of a singalong with Joy. Excellent homemade (onsite) cakes and biscuits and a warm friendly atmosphere. I saw all the same staff as had been there when my father was resident, so the staff turnover must be close to zero. That I know makes such a difference for alzheimer's & dementia residents, to see the same faces day after day after month after year. Its a really wonderful place.

My mum came into Woodside View in November 2025, diagnosed with the end of life. She recieved excellent care and kindness from all the staff. She was treated with dignity and respect at all times. Her health improved for a few months, and she was able to take part in some of the activities. Sadly, she passed away in April. The nursing care she received was exceptional. We were also informed about the stages of her care. Our family was welcomed and looked after at any time of the day or night by the staff when we visited mum. Woodside View is well-managed, and I would not hesitate to recommend this home for a loved one. Thank you to all.

Even though my mum was only here a short while the service she received was excellent. Everyone I saw was very helpful and friendly. I would say that I am pleased my mum was at the home and wish she had more time there. Many thanks. I would definitely recommend this home.

This is a family friendly nursing home, where residents are treated with care and dignity in a calm and nuturing environment. Every effort is made to make residents feel welcome, safe and cared for.

Relatives and friends are welcome at any time.

My relative was given end-of-life care. Every member of staff was respectful throughout, and the support given was excellent.

Mum has been in the home for just over 1 year. She has settled in well. The staff are lovely, caring and approachable if you have any concerns. Mum sits in the lounge daily when there are lots of things go do. She enjoyed the twice weekly yoga where they sing while doing the exercises. There are lots of things going on, Easter Bonnet Making, V.E. Day celebrations, cream teas, Wimbledon fortnight. The staff are always looking at different things to do. If the residents want to participate. The home is lovely and clean. I am made to feel very welcome and can turn up any time.

The staff are lovely, and look after my mother well, they are attentive to her needs and very quick to alert me to any problems. The staff are very good at arranging events for the residents and families so we can all come together, the summer BBQ is excellent, the chef does an excellent job!! There are also separate activities throughout the week for the residents to take part in. The care home is in a lovely setting, with maintained gardens, the rooms are well decorated and they have just recently replaced all the carpet. My mother is happy there which gives me huge peace of mind.

My mum is currently a resident at Woodside View Home, and we are very pleased with her care. All the staff are very friendly and very caring. Mum is well looked after, she tells me she enjoys the food.

Mum came here from the hospital, and as soon as she arrived, the care she received was such a relief and still is very good.

On my first visit, I found the staff, including the manager, kind, and courteous and all the residents in the sitting room were treated with kindness and dignity. The activities staff member took time to explain the activities available for my mum and I felt she was comfortable there and well cared for.

Best care home I have seen. Lovely staff and management. I would not want my mother to be anywhere else. Staff are always around, unlike other homes, and are very helpful to visitors also. Very homely and comfortable. I am able to take my mum's dog and my own to visit.

Review from P B (Brother of Resident) published on 22 August 2023 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My sibling has been unwell for many years and can find aspects of life challenging, they do not adapt easily to new situations or environments. Their previous care home, were they had been very happy and well cared for, had to close in July 2023. When I first went to Woodside View, I decided to make an unannounced visit, to see what the home was like, without anytime to prepare. I was immediately struck be the cleanliness of the environment and the residents and the warmth of the welcome I received.I paid particular attention to the interaction of the staff with the residents, they were kind, gentle and patient. The facilities are first rate and there's a varied activities plan that people can join in with if they wish. My sibling visited with me a couple of days later, they immediately like the 'feeling' of the home. When they moved in there was very little, if any, upset and they said that they thought it was 'lovely' better than any other they had stayed in. Great start!

My mother entered the home in August 2021 and passed away in July 2022. The initial welcome was really good with a couple of residents joining the staff in telling Mum the routines. The nursing home is lovely, it is clean, bright and comfortable. The management and staff are very caring, we were grateful that they stayed with Mum at the end. The food is good and activities ensure residents keep fit.
