My dad was at Hazelmere for two months from September till November before he sadly passed away but while he was there he was very well cared for. The staff were very friendly and spent time with my dad. The food he had looked lovely even though it was puréed you could tell what it was. He even one Monday went into the lounge for a sing-song which I recorded and does make me smile when I look back at it.
Then my mum had a terrible fall and with no hesitation, they said my mum could go in there which was great as she knew all the staff as she visited my dad every day. The staff have been very understanding to my mum knowing she had lost her husband. The staff are very welcoming to me and my family with tea and biscuits (after a 60 mile drive it a nice welcome). We were even lucky that they let us have lunch with mum. If they are concerned with my mum I get a phone call which is nice as its always a worry when you are far away and that mum is ok.
