My husband has been in Threeways for 18 months and has been very well looked after. Any problems that have arisen have been handled very well and I have been kept informed at all times.

Although the staff were okay and care was adequate, an unfortunate experience where jewellery went missing from my mother's room during the nine days my mother was there before having to be admitted to hospital. Has certainly left me not being Impressed and invoicing her for the full amount for the 14 days whilst she was in hospital. Although stated in the agreement that a paltry £10 allowance a day would be made, no one knew how long she was going to be in hospital for and I did inform the home that I did not know of when she would be discharged from hospital.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry that this was a distressing period for you and your family, particularly given your mother’s short stay with us and her subsequent hospital admission.

We take any report of missing personal belongings extremely seriously. When...

A nursing home that actually feels like a home! Friendly and professional staff who care about both the health and happiness of residents. The team organised a range of festive activities to bring a bit of Christmas cheer to residents. Responsive to family queries and changes in health. Flexible visiting hours and eating arrangements. Great governance and attention to detail.

All the staff show compassion, excellent care throughout all of the times my Wife was a resident.
The skills of all staff members is as best it could be.
Every time my Wife used the equipment to ask for assistance in her room She was attended promptly and given sound advice and good council.
The menu for all meals has plenty of choices, all food was cooked and presented with care.
Her room and ensuite were always cleaned each day and kept neat , clean and tidy .
Threeways was recommended to me by two residents in my road who both had elderly relatives that attended.

I was glad that they did and agree with their positive valuation of the Home.

The staff took time to get to know mum. Communication in the house between staff was excellent. Mum was encouraged to join daily activities and she enjoyed her meals, tea breaks and coffees. Towards the end of mum's life the clinical care was excellent and reassuring.

Threeways looked after Mum in the last year of her life at 98. The staff were wonderful, caring, compassionate and kind, always going the extra mile to make each day joyful and upbeat. The home is very clean and tidy, it has a lovely garden and communal space for events. She enjoyed all the varied activities, trips out with the activity coordinators, and lunch club with the other residents. The nursing staff and carers were exceptional, especially as she aged and became frailer. I cannot thank them enough for the love and care with which they surrounded Mum and us as a family, so that we could visit her every day and be with her right up to the end. Thank you.

Mum came to stay here for E.O.L care from hospital. She was only at the home less than a month before she passed, but the care she received in the home was amazing. The staff all seemed so caring and they did all they could for Mum to make the last of her time comfortable. Even sat with her and painted her nails even though she was sleeping most of the time. The home was always welcoming to my brother and I when we visited. I even had a situation where I needed help and they were so helpful and made an embarrassing situation less so. All in all I can't recommend this home high enough. Mum passed with care and dignity and respect from the staff.

An amazing nursing home with amazing staff and I cannot recommend them highly enough. My dad became a resident here over a year ago after sustaining a life-changing brain injury in the hospital. The staff are kind, caring and compassionate. Dad is so relaxed and chilled out here, it is truly a home from home. There is a lovely, relaxed and homely atmosphere. Dad's family can leave Threeways with peace of mind knowing he is receiving the best possible care. Thank you to all the staff.

My mum has been at Threeways for just over a year. She is very well cared for, treated with kindness, respect and dignity and is well looked after. The food choice is great, fresh and appetising. Mum has put on much-needed weight since being there. Staff are kind, caring, polite and communicative and responsive to her needs and any concerns we have. Threeways is always clean, well-kept and maintained and has lovely gardens. Outings and entertainment are organised regularly. Happy for Mum to be there.

Threeways provide fantastic care for my mum and she is always treated with dignity. The staff and management are always approachable and encourage family members to communicate any issues. Issues are always addressed accordingly. Every couple of months there is a friends and family forum where questions can be asked and any news can be shared. Food and drink are tailored to the resident's needs and requirements. The staff work hard to put on activities for the residents. There are many activities including bingo and lunch club. We can leave after a visit knowing that my mum will be well looked after and if there are any concerns, they will ring us to discuss. I am so pleased that we chose Threeways to care for my mum.

I am writing a review about my mother's care in Threeways as I cannot fault the care they offer. We are so lucky to have found this nursing home as it fulfils all of my mother's needs. She is in the later stages of Alzheimer's and the nursing staff and carers show great respect for her dignity. She was very poorly when transferred from the hospital to the home for long term care, but they have nursed her so carefully that her health has improved beyond recognition. The staff are all friendly and welcoming to visitors, and keep the family informed of all her progress and needs. A great relief to us that Mum is so happy and well looked after at this final stage of her life. Thank you Threeways.

Unfortunately, Dad's stay at Threeways was all too brief, but he was extremely happy there, and we could not have chosen a better place for him to end his days.
It is genuinely a home filled with love and care. Dad's medical needs were met by the excellent nursing team, and his social and personal needs were covered by the rest of the staff.

My sister and I, live a distance away but we knew Dad was in safe hands and we knew we could phone whenever we needed to. We spent Dad's last two weeks with him and we as a family were shown compassion, respect and love, at such a sad time, the whole team wrapped us in a big warm hug.

Dad was admitted with Alzheimers, for end of life care following a rather traumatic stay in hospital. The manager went out of his way to secure a place in Seaford after we had been let down by others. From the moment he was admitted to Threeways and despite his lack of mobility and verbal communication, Dad was treated with respect and dignity. He loved the music playing in his room and the interaction with all the staff and we could tell he was happier as he was eating and communicating better until unfortunately, his physical condition deteriorated. At this point, the staff were superb and nothing was too much trouble in support of the family. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Threeways for any family finding themselves in a similar difficult position.

The support my family have had from this care home has been superb. Right through from May when making an initial enquiry about a room, to the day-to-day care Dad now receives. We have felt involved and respected at all times and feel confident leaving Dad in their care.

I can’t praise the caring, clinical, managerial and support staff enough for their care, patience and expertise when caring for Dad. He has complex health and personal needs and it has been a relief to be able to rely on others to get to know Dad, maintain his dignity and deliver the standard and type of care his family want for him.

My mother was in Threeways for end of life care. She was given such tender loving care, in fact, the whole family was cared for at such a difficult time. Mum was kept clean and comfortable without pain and passed peacefully away. Her room was lovely, her favourite things were brought in. One really wonderful thing was her beloved dog was able to visit which gave mum such joy in her final days.

Lesley Turner
Lesley TurnerJob Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2023

Lesley is the Deputy Manager at Threeways Nursing Home and a highly experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse, qualifying in 2004.

She began her career working on an acute mental health ward, building a strong foundation in clinical care and developing the resilience and knowledge needed to support individuals with complex mental health needs. She then moved into the community as a Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN), where she spent around five years working closely with people in their own homes — helping to prevent hospital admissions and supporting recovery following discharge.

During the COVID period, she returned to acute services as a Charge Nurse and Deputy Ward Manager, taking on a senior leadership role in a highly demanding environment. This experience strengthened her clinical leadership, decision-making, and ability to support both patients and staff through challenging situations.

She later moved into the care home sector and joined Threeways Nursing Home, where she has been a valued member of the team for around three years. Starting as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, she has recently progressed into the role of Deputy Manager. Her role is split between clinical duties and supporting the Home Manager, giving her a strong presence across both care delivery and leadership within the home.

She is passionate about working with older adults and brings a bright, bubbly energy to everything she does. Known for her kindness and warmth, she builds strong relationships with residents, families, and staff, creating a positive and supportive atmosphere throughout the home.

Outside of work, she enjoys swimming, walking her dog, and spending quality time with her family, including her two sons and three grandchildren. She has a love for travel, especially hot weather holidays, and enjoys barbecues and family gatherings whenever she can. She’s also a keen scuba diver — with one of her most memorable experiences being diving with sharks.
