Birch Grove Nursing Home

Birchgrove Nursing Home truly is an amazing place. The team are all so caring, and ensure I am kept up to date with everythign involving my mother's care. They are always coming up with new ways to help my mum socialise and engage, and keep trying when she refuses. Nothing is too much trouble for the team and they are all so kind. They support me when I find things tough, and every time I visit they greet me like family. I have full confidence in their care for my mum, and they give me complete transparency in her care. I highly recommend this very caring and kind nursing home.

The staff at Birch Grove are the best; So incredibly kind and actually caring. They treat my mum like a member of the family. Once when we got back from a birthday lunch out and 7 or so staff members appeared with a big cake and sang to her in her room, you could see you joy on her face. Every time she has a fall, they are immediately on the phone to let us know and reassure us she's ok. My mum has been in a few care homes and this is by far the very best. As I said, the staff actually care, which is far from a given. They give us peace of mind knowing she is safe and happy as possible.

Birch Grove Care Home has been a wonderful place for my family member and I am pleased that I chose it. There's always something happening - from birthdays to Chinese New Year, they always find a reason to celebrate and bring everyone together. The staff are warm, pleasant, and genuinely caring. They also keep in regular contact, which is especially reassuring as I live far away. I'm very grateful for the support they provide.

Birch Grove Nursing Home is a very well run home. It organises very suitable activities in the afternoons for the residents. They also put on great entertainment events on special days during the year. There is a hair dressing salon, and a chiropodist regularly visits.

I represent my father, receiving full-time care who has dimminishing Alzheimer's Dementia, etc

After 5 month's care for my husband I am impressed by the level of care and lovely staff at Birch Grove. They are always welcoming and obliging. The daily routine fits around the residents' needs, catering is good and there are many social events for family members.

They also do a lot of amazing activities and outings. My mum has been a long term resident for 26 months since my day had passed

I receive good care at the Nursing Home I live. The food is good as are all the activities. All the staff are nice

I have almost five years experience of the care given by Birch Grove Nursing Home to my sister-in-law. She has always received good sensitive care. She is given a good measure of independence under supervision so that she can still move around the home safely with a walking aid. She says she is very happy there and enjoys the meals and some interaction with other residents & staff. In my experience all the staff are helpful & friendly.

In addition, Birch Grove is extremely flexible and the staff are always willing to work around differing needs such as visiting times, taking loved ones out etc. On this score, the proximity to Preston park is a big bonus, although Birch Grove does have a nice garden of it's own.

Her new orthopaedic chair seems to be doing the trick and she is more comfortable. Thank you to whoever sourced it.

I like the way that Birch Grove is run with the emphasis on the word 'home'! The management, with excellent support from the staff, provide excellent care and support for the residents. There is a distinct homely feel!
