I am profoundly grateful for the dedicated care my mother receives at Birchgrove Nursing Home in Brighton]. The management and nursing staff are compassionate, professional, and truly centered on her wellbeing. Whenever I visit, I am always greeted warmly and kept well-informed of her health and daily activities. It is a huge comfort to know she is in such safe, capable hands. I deeply appreciate the respect they show her and how they look after both her physical and emotional needs. Ian

My father was admitted to Birch Grove Nursing Home following several hospital stays.
Being bed-ridden, he was offered a room without an en-suite which made a difference in costings for which we were grateful.
From first to last, I really cannot speak highly enough of the staff, all of whom were fully qualified SRNs. They made regular checks several times an hour, day and night, on my father throughout his time there and, when the end was near, made him as comfortable as possible.

If you have a loved one in need of 24 hour care, then please consider Birch Grove in Brighton. You can be sure of a caring and professional service.

Birch Grove Care Home has been a wonderful place for my family member and I am pleased that I chose it. There's always something happening - from birthdays to Chinese New Year, they always find a reason to celebrate and bring everyone together. The staff are warm, pleasant, and genuinely caring. They also keep in regular contact, which is especially reassuring as I live far away. I'm very grateful for the support they provide.

Birch Grove Nursing Home is a very well run home. It organises very suitable activities in the afternoons for the residents. They also put on great entertainment events on special days during the year. There is a hair dressing salon, and a chiropodist regularly visits.

Mum was placed in Adelaide House for emergency care due to a breakdown in live in care. Although we did not choose this nursing home, we are so happy she was placed there. From the moment we arrived on a December night, they showed so much compassion for our situation. Mum received excellent care while she was there. Mum's health declined, and she passed away. The end-of-life care was wonderful, all staff so kind, so caring, and so respectful.

My brother has been a resident of Adelaide House for more than 21 years. The staff there have all gone above and beyond in their care of him. His room has always been immaculate, as has the rest of the house. The activities put on for the residents have been very varied and well run. I would thoroughly recommend Adelaide House. The staff have all been so caring and very welcoming when I visit.

After much research I opted for Adelaide House and truly cannot recommend them enough. My Aunt has only been there for a couple of months but the care and kindness she has received has been second to none. Nothing is too much trouble and they have a knack of anticipating your needs before you can articulate them yourself, the staff are so friendly, kind and helpful.

My Aunt is 97 and is loving the food, company and activities she can be part of and I am loving the security of knowing she is safe and so well cared for, thank you all.

Adelaide House is absolutely wonderful
My mother, who has mixed dementia, has been here 5 months now. The staff are so kind and caring and take a genuine interest in their residents. Nothing is too much trouble and they prioritise the happiness and contentment of the residents. The care Manager Susan and Deputy Care Manager George are excellent and their ethos and caring leadership is felt warmly in the home. I viewed many homes for my mum, Adelaide Hoise was the second and I knew instantly it was the place for her.
Unfortunately there were no ground floor rooms available at that time, but George liaised with the hospital and social worker and as soon as one became available mum was placed there.

After years of caring and stress I know know my mum is safe and well cared for. Visiting her in Adelaide House feels like visiting a real home from home and the 'Adelaide family'.

My mother was a resident at Wellington House from November 2025 to January 2026, following a fall at home and two episodes of hip surgery. Throughout this time she was well cared for and treated with kindness and respect by all the staff. We cannot thank the staff enough for making mums last year, months, weeks and days as comfortable as possible.

Our mum was only in the care home for a short while. But while she was there she was very well looked after. The carers showed her nothing but kindness and respect. Also when any member of the family was to visit we were always updated and offered tea or coffee with mum.

Carers were kind and friendly. Nurses were knowledgeable. All staff happy to listen to my concerns and take on board what I said. Manager always available. Felt like it was a high turnover of staff - which is usual for the care industry, but could be frustrating to my family members.
