The team of care pros at Birch Grove made my mother feel at home from day one and the whole team makes an effort everyday to keep my mother comfortable and engaged.
Every member of the team always great me with a smile and my mother always give compliment for the way she is cared for.

After 5 month's care for my husband I am impressed by the level of care and lovely staff at Birch Grove. They are always welcoming and obliging. The daily routine fits around the residents' needs, catering is good and there are many social events for family members.

Carers were kind and friendly. Nurses were knowledgeable. All staff happy to listen to my concerns and take on board what I said. Manager always available. Felt like it was a high turnover of staff - which is usual for the care industry, but could be frustrating to my family members.

We understand staff changes can sometimes feel frustrating, though common in care. Currently this has been a reflection of support we've received from our care staff in the mental health team during holidays or sickness, plus exciting career progressions we actively encourage and celebrate for our care assistants into nursing roles, which then requires their carer role to be filled.

I visited 5 to 6 days a week at various times. I was very involved with the case of my friend! The staff was very open to my requests and good dissusions were lead with the staff. I witnessed a fire drill and instruction from the fire brigade. Drinks were offered to visitors and sometimes even cake.
Discussions with the relief nurse were very welcome. I highly recommend Grove Park.

I have found all of the staff to be very friendly and attentive to my mothers needs. From nursing to entertainment I could not be happier. The communication between the manager and the reception desk very helpful. The recent upgrade regarding the security on entering and leaving the home is very assuring.

I cannot recommend this nursing home enough I know that my mum is save, looked after and well fed.
They also do a lot of amazing activities and outings. My mum has been a long term resident for 26 months since my day had passed

Birchgrove staff went above and beyond to celebrate my Aunt's birthday.
The lounge was decorated with banners and balloons etc and they had a little tea party and birthday cake for her

My mum was not at Grove Park long because she was sadly dying when she arrived. The Manager is excellent and did everything i asked. She was very reassuring. It was clean and the staff were all friendly and it was good to see so many of them around. The food looked tasty and it was lovely to see the
residents having a movie afternoon with popcorn. My mum died peacefully and pain free because the staff reacted quickly and I am very grateful for this.

I have almost five years experience of the care given by Birch Grove Nursing Home to my sister-in-law. She has always received good sensitive care. She is given a good measure of independence under supervision so that she can still move around the home safely with a walking aid. She says she is very
happy there and enjoys the meals and some interaction with other residents & staff. In my experience all the staff are helpful & friendly.

My sister has been at Grove Park for the past 3 years. She has been very happy living here. There are times when she feels frustrated and angry and is difficult but the wonderful staff always manages to diffuse the situation very quickly. She enjoys being with the other residents and occasionally participates
with the daily activities.

I am very pleased with the care my wife receives at the home, she has been a resident for 9 months and seems much calmer and happier now than she was previously at the hospital she was in for about 3 months before being admitted to your home and another care home she was in for 6 weeks respite care
late 2023.
The facilities are good, the home and her room are kept clean, she likes the food and the carers seem to spend a lot of time with her, often found sitting with her in her room when I visit. The nurses also seem to keep on top of her diabetes which is reassuring, they didn't seem to at the previous care home residence.
My grandmother, mother and two of my wife's siblings all had Alzheimer's and spent time in nursing homes and I can honestly say your home is much better in many ways, partly because it is a purpose built home not a converted house but mainly because of the kindness of your staff.

My mother came to Birch Grove after a stay in hospital approximately six months ago.
As many others have noted, the management and staff have been, and are, extremely caring and attentive in meeting my mothers needs.
The atmosphere is very much that of a 'home' as opposed to a hospital or hotel.
In
addition, Birch Grove is extremely flexible and the staff are always willing to work around differing needs such as visiting times, taking loved ones out etc. On this score, the proximity to Preston park is a big bonus, although Birch Grove does have a nice garden of it's own.

Staff were, as ever, very helpful on my visit. It was lovely to see my cousin looking very happy and looking much healthier than when she first arrived at Birch Grove. She is clearly being well looked after.
Her new orthopaedic chair seems to be doing the trick and she is more comfortable. Thank

Staff are very welcoming, my Nan is always comfortable, clean and well looked after.
The food is of a high standard and my Nan always enjoys what's on offer.
Her room is of a very good standard however it could be cleaned more often especially in the more difficult to reach areas.
I feel my nan
is safe in this environment, with lots of staff who are always visible and available to help.
My nan recently had her 99th Birthday, the home kindly allowed us as a family to use the dining area for a small gathering and made her a lovely birthday cake.
