I am so glad that a room was found for my friend at Adelaide House. She had specific needs that were always met with care and skill. She felt secure and welcome in this warm and friendly home.

Our Mum was in Wellington House for end of life care for six weeks. During this difficult time my siblings and I visited every day and were so reassured that Mum received the best care and attention. She was always clean and well dressed and her room was beautifully decorated, as was the whole home.
We were always welcomed warmly and offered refreshments. The staff were very efficient as well as being respectful friendly kind and caring. We could not have asked for a better experience for my Mum in her final weeks and for us as her loved ones.

I can't praise all the staff at Wellington enough, from Monika front of house to healthcare assistants, nursing staff and kitchen. We always had a warm welcome from Monika and put at ease. My Mum was very well cared for, monitored and nursed as was required. She was very comfortable and always said
everyone was lovely with her.

My brother was temporarily homed twice in Wellington last year, as part of his journey from independent living to full time care. As a Brain Injury/ Stroke victim , he was not the archetypal resident of a Dementia Care home and was something of a square peg in a round hole. A very awkward and challenging
square peg it must be added, that at times is very difficult to deal with. Notwithstanding this the Staff did a very good job in keeping him safe, clean and well fed, and interacting with him in a kind and very humane way. Full marks to them! The management at all times, were bright and cheery, and rapid to respond to any issues that occurred and genuinely very happy to go out of their way to help! Very impressive ! I once ran a Care Home and I know first hand there are varying standards of 'Care'! I would happily recommend Wellington House as very much in the top category and would have no hesitation in recommending them to all who need care in the later stages of life!

Mum was a resident of Wellington House from October 2024 to August 2025, until her death.
Our review as a family, is that the care was amazing, the staff were unbelievably kind, caring, empathetic, compassionate and treated mum with utmost respect and dignity. We visited everyday all 3 of us and we
to were shown the same warmth from all the staff.
Mum was always put first and her life was valued right until the end. Mums room was near to the dining room so we could see the other residence, they to were treated in the same way.
Nothing was to much trouble, we had the utmost faith that all mums care needs were covered, if there was a medical need it was dealt with straight away, we are grateful for this, that mum never suffered and she died with grace and the feeling that she was very much loved.
Communication was excellent, we had a good understanding that mum was at the end of her life and that every day mattered, as did mum. Thank you soo much.

Our mum moved into Adelaide house after a stay in hospital. She was 101 and couldn't live alone anymore. She only had a short stay there but the care, comfort and kindness she received there was second to none. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The care assistants were so kind, considerate and patient. They were all very friendly with big smiles and greetings when we arrived to visit Dad. He responded well to them and nothing was too much trouble. It was lovely to see familiar staff each time and offered tea and biscuits, even out to the garden.
Dad was always very clean and well presented. For additional care and nursing there was a great team of registered nurses. Always on hand to update us on any medical concerns and they reacted very quickly and professionally when Dad became poorly., and contacted us immediately. There was a variety of home cooked each day. Everywhere was kept immaculately, clean and tidy, including Dad's room. There was always a calm, inviting environment which was nice. There were many activities arranged daily and entertainment throughout the month as well celebrations for each resident's birthday which was lovely. The manager was so helpful, kind, especially at the time of need, offering us a room.

Mum was not at Wellington House for long but she was so well cared for during her stay. The staff were always friendly to Mum and us when we visited (which was often). We knew that she was safe and well looked after. During her last days, all the staff were amazing and we would have no hesitation in
recommending others to use Wellington House for their loved ones. Thank you so so much for looking after our Mum with kindness and empathy when she needed it most.

My uncle went into Adelaide after a horrible time in hospital, he became too weak to go home so went into Adelaide. Within a few weeks under their care and support he gained some of his strength back. The staff here are absolutely amazing, they treat everyone with dignity and nothing is too much trouble.
They honestly made the final 15 months that my uncle had the best possible due to the care and kindness they showed him. The staff really are what makes this place the special home it is. I can't speak highly enough of Adelaide House and would recommend it to anyone looking for care of a loved one

For the 5 weeks my brother stayed at Wellington House care home he was well cared for by the nurses, and care staff, and they were always so welcoming when myself, family and his friend visited him at the home offering us refreshments and biscuits. His room was always kept clean, it was spacious and
he had a wet room, TV, wardrobe and drawers for his clothes. He got to know a few of the other residents when he went into the lounge. The Admin Manager was always very helpful to me and my daughter when we had any questions to do with my brothers care. My daughter and I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at Wellington House.

My mother was admitted to Adelaide Nursing Home in July 2025 at the age of 93, after a series of falls and continuous health issues, and it was such a concern for all who cared for her as she wanted to remain in her home. Adelaide Nursing Home were fantastic and my trust in all the staff never faltered
and I will always be grateful for that. My mother passed away in September and I was by her side. I will always think of you all with warmth, and gratitude. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart x

Although Mum's stay was only for a short time I was so impressed with the staff. They were all attentive, extremely friendly and always smiling and welcoming.
Everyone was so caring and knowledgable about dementia/Alziehiemers and it was a delight and reassuring to see how all staff engaged with the
other residents. I can truely say this nursing home has the resident's care at the centre of everything they do

Mum was looked after by Wellington House for over 3 years. She received exceptional care from the lovely, compassionate staff, who were always helpful and kind to her. They also looked after our wider family and we felt as though we were part of the Wellington House family. We all enjoyed their Summer
and Christmas parties, which the staff worked hard to organise. Mum was also able to take part in various activities and attend music afternoons.

My aunt of 97 years was admitted into Adelaide House after the decision was made that she could no longer live independently in her flat following a fall that required surgery. A lovely ground floor room was arranged for her. Her time there was only short as she fell ill very suddenly and was admitted
into hospital, where she sadly passed away. Myself and the family were so grateful to all the staff from those that cleaned, did the laundry, prepared the food (which she enjoyed very much) and the nurses. They were all very friendly, kind, attentive, nothing was too much trouble for them and excellent patient care. I was always offered a cup of tea or coffee when I visited and was made to feel very welcome. Whilst my aunt was in hospital they would often ring me not just to find out how my aunt was but to see how I was as well. In my opinion it was a very well run home with professional staff that delivered a high standard of care.

Staff are always welcoming, kind and professional. They treat residents with dignity + respect, maintaining privacy when transferring them to wheelchairs etc. Dad looks well cared for and it's reassuring to see him smiling at staff + reach out to them for support. Dad is settled + calm. The cleaning
team deserve praise, the home is clean + tidy and usually free from any unpleasant odours. The activities co-ordinator is enthusiastic and keeps us informed and shows us photos of Dad taking part in some activities. One small suggestion would be to add more sensory items throughout the home, both indoors + outdoors. Overall, thank you to all staff.

I unfortunately broke my shoulder and then fell and caused a tear in my rotary cuff on the other arm. I had to stay in hospital for11 days and then go to Wellingtons House for respite as I wouldn't be able to cope at home on my own.Wellington House was welcoming and made my stay a fantastic experience
and not like I expected. My room was comfortable and clean with an on-suite and TV. The Staff were so caring and nothing was too much trouble for them smiling the whole time doing a difficult job. I enjoyed all my food there even though I'm known as a fussy eater. I improved over my stay doing keep fit etc and was helped in every way possible so that I was well enough to return home. It's great to be home but I can't thank Wellington House Staff enough and must admit I felt quite sad to be leaving as it was like leaving special friends. If I ever need care in the future I definitely know where to go.
