Adelaide House Nursing Home

My dad was in Adelaide House for the last 5 weeks of his life having been cared for at home by my mum until his Parkinsons conditional became unmanageable. At first he really did improve with the fantastic care and attention he received. When he did decline the staff were so wonderful and compassionate, he could not have been in a better place for his final days.

I could not be happier with the care my father has received, it has certainly brought my dad back to his old self. The staff are always happy and smiling and keep me fully up to date on his care. I feel very lucky and relieved that my dad is placed in such a wonderful care home. My dad has made friends and is now living a much more varied life than before.

My mother has now been a resident for 1 year. I am extremely happy with all aspects of her care. Any queries I have are always listened to and dealt with in a timely and professional manner. All the staff are friendly, caring and helpful to myself, family and especially my Mum. The Home has a lovely feeling about it and I am pleased I was able to get a room there for her.

My father was placed in Adelaide nursing home in January of this year and still resides there . My father arrived after being in hospital for three months he was a bag of bones still suffering with delirium however thanks to everyone of the amazing staff and management my dad is now healthy full mental capacity and the happiest we could ever of wanted for him . The staff residents there one big happy family . The care communication from carers to management is faultless you are included as a family . The home itself is clean spotless no smells as you normally find in this environment and nothing is too much trouble for any member of staff . There kindness and care towards my dad and all residents has resulted in my dad enjoying life again . From days out with the lovely activities team to party's celebrations of certain times of the year I and my family honestly couldn't have chosen a better place than Adelaide house . We never worry about him as we know he has the best care

My mother who was 101 yrs and was only in Adelaide House for 1 week was treated with care + respect during her last week of her long life. The staff were excellent + communicated with me at all times. Management were always available + treated my mother with the utmost care.

Mum was placed in Adelaide House for emergency care due to a breakdown in live in care. Although we did not choose this nursing home, we are so happy she was placed there. From the moment we arrived on a December night, they showed so much compassion for our situation. Mum received excellent care while she was there. Mum's health declined, and she passed away. The end-of-life care was wonderful, all staff so kind, so caring, and so respectful.

My brother has been a resident of Adelaide House for more than 21 years. The staff there have all gone above and beyond in their care of him. His room has always been immaculate, as has the rest of the house. The activities put on for the residents have been very varied and well run. I would thoroughly recommend Adelaide House. The staff have all been so caring and very welcoming when I visit.

My Aunt is 97 and is loving the food, company and activities she can be part of and I am loving the security of knowing she is safe and so well cared for, thank you all.

After years of caring and stress I know know my mum is safe and well cared for. Visiting her in Adelaide House feels like visiting a real home from home and the 'Adelaide family'.

Our mum moved into Adelaide house after a stay in hospital. She was 101 and couldn't live alone anymore. She only had a short stay there but the care, comfort and kindness she received there was second to none. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I just wanted to say that my family are so very appreciative of the wonderful care, support and friendship given to my father during his time with you. He could not have been in a better place and was thankful for this until the very end.

My uncle went into Adelaide after a horrible time in hospital, he became too weak to go home so went into Adelaide. Within a few weeks under their care and support he gained some of his strength back. The staff here are absolutely amazing, they treat everyone with dignity and nothing is too much trouble. They honestly made the final 15 months that my uncle had the best possible due to the care and kindness they showed him. The staff really are what makes this place the special home it is. I can't speak highly enough of Adelaide House and would recommend it to anyone looking for care of a loved one

My mother was admitted to Adelaide Nursing Home in July 2025 at the age of 93, after a series of falls and continuous health issues, and it was such a concern for all who cared for her as she wanted to remain in her home. Adelaide Nursing Home were fantastic and my trust in all the staff never faltered and I will always be grateful for that. My mother passed away in September and I was by her side. I will always think of you all with warmth, and gratitude. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart x

My partner came from hospital to Adelaide House, which is more local to home, after over 3 months in hospital and it was such a relief to have experienced the kind and caring staff. Everyone is friendly and very competent in a difficult job. Thank you all.

My aunt of 97 years was admitted into Adelaide House after the decision was made that she could no longer live independently in her flat following a fall that required surgery. A lovely ground floor room was arranged for her. Her time there was only short as she fell ill very suddenly and was admitted into hospital, where she sadly passed away. Myself and the family were so grateful to all the staff from those that cleaned, did the laundry, prepared the food (which she enjoyed very much) and the nurses. They were all very friendly, kind, attentive, nothing was too much trouble for them and excellent patient care. I was always offered a cup of tea or coffee when I visited and was made to feel very welcome. Whilst my aunt was in hospital they would often ring me not just to find out how my aunt was but to see how I was as well. In my opinion it was a very well run home with professional staff that delivered a high standard of care.

Mum, who is nearly 92, was put on end of life care by the hospital after suffering various infections which were not responding to treatment. For what we thought were her last few days, she was given the option of a nursing home and Adelaide House was chosen. They have made her welcome, comfortable and have attended to her every need. The staff are all welcoming, helpful and very very kind. She has responded well to their care and thoughtfulness. They give little treats like flowers on Mothers Day, little eggs at easter and various meal time specials such as chocolate eclairs and sausage rolls. Nothing is too much trouble and I have total peace of mind.

We were welcome to visit Mum at any time of the day or night and always greeted with a smile.

My Mum became a resident at Adelaide House in February 2024 following a stroke. She had dementia which worsened and she lost her mobility. I had always been concerned about how Mum would be cared for if she went into a home but any worries I had quickly disappeared. The team have been fantastic in every way: kind, gentle, professional and supportive. Mum passed away peacefully a couple of weeks ago, and she was treated with dignity and love until the end. I am so grateful to the staff team for everything they do and for the support they also gave to me.
