My partner came from hospital to Adelaide House, which is more local to home, after over 3 months in hospital and it was such a relief to have experienced the kind and caring staff. Everyone is friendly and very competent in a difficult job. Thank you all.

My aunt of 97 years was admitted into Adelaide House after the decision was made that she could no longer live independently in her flat following a fall that required surgery. A lovely ground floor room was arranged for her. Her time there was only short as she fell ill very suddenly and was admitted
into hospital, where she sadly passed away. Myself and the family were so grateful to all the staff from those that cleaned, did the laundry, prepared the food (which she enjoyed very much) and the nurses. They were all very friendly, kind, attentive, nothing was too much trouble for them and excellent patient care. I was always offered a cup of tea or coffee when I visited and was made to feel very welcome. Whilst my aunt was in hospital they would often ring me not just to find out how my aunt was but to see how I was as well. In my opinion it was a very well run home with professional staff that delivered a high standard of care.

Mum, who is nearly 92, was put on end of life care by the hospital after suffering various infections which were not responding to treatment. For what we thought were her last few days, she was given the option of a nursing home and Adelaide House was chosen. They have made her welcome, comfortable
and have attended to her every need. The staff are all welcoming, helpful and very very kind. She has responded well to their care and thoughtfulness. They give little treats like flowers on Mothers Day, little eggs at easter and various meal time specials such as chocolate eclairs and sausage rolls. Nothing is too much trouble and I have total peace of mind.

Our Mum moved to Adelaide House for end of life care after a short spell in Hospital.
She had lived independently all her life so there was some nervousness about this move.
We had absolutely nothing to be concerned about, Mum's final weeks at Adelaide House were happy. She had a string of visitors,
made new friends and told my Sister and I she was well looked after and was not worried about anything.
We were so impressed with the staff, they were so caring and kind and Mum was treated with dignity at all times.
We were welcome to visit Mum at any time of the day or night and always greeted with a smile.

My Mum became a resident at Adelaide House in February 2024 following a stroke. She had dementia which worsened and she lost her mobility. I had always been concerned about how Mum would be cared for if she went into a home but any worries I had quickly disappeared. The team have been fantastic in every
way: kind, gentle, professional and supportive. Mum passed away peacefully a couple of weeks ago, and she was treated with dignity and love until the end. I am so grateful to the staff team for everything they do and for the support they also gave to me.

My wife was discharged from hospital in June 2024 on palliative care at home with carers visits four times a day, until October, when she went into Adelaide House for two weeks respite care as it was becoming very difficult at home, ,and getting steadily worse. Unfortunately her health continued to
deteriorate and it was decided that the best option was for her to remain there permanently on continuing palliative care. Once settled in she was happy and very well looked after by all members of the team from top to bottom, the accommodation, food, facilities, medical care etc were all to a high standard.
There was always a happy, welcoming, supportive and "can do" , attitude from all staff, which we as family saw many times a week on our regular visits.

My father moved to Adelaide House, the day before Christmas Eve, when he could no longer manage in his own home. The staff were extremely welcoming to both him and our family which helped him quickly settle in. He and I went to the Christmas Day lunch and he was fully involved in the celebrations. The
care he received from the moment he arrived was exemplary and characterised by respect, dignity and compassion. We were able to visit every day and personally kept fully informed of any treatment and medication that he received. All of the staff treated both him and us with great kindness and although he sadly passed away a month after arriving, at the great age of 102, we felt that he could not have been in a better place than Adelaide House as his life drew to a close.

Adelaide House is run by some of the most caring and kind people you could ever wish to meet. It is kept clean and organised whilst maintaining the feel of a safe and homelike environment. In my grandmother's last few months they took spectacular care of her in every possible way and kept me well informed
of any updates over the phone and in person. I always felt very welcome when visiting and grew to consider the staff more as friends, as they are all lovely people. The food provided is varied and delicious, the smell from the kitchen made you wish you were joining for dinner or lunch! Compared to other care homes in the surrounding areas, which I visited, I found that Adelaide house is very reasonably priced, whilst offering a very personal and high quality level of care. Should you be in need of care services for yourself or others, in Haywards Heath or the central Sussex area, I would highly recommend contacting Adelaide house.

I have been so pleased with the care my darling aunty has been receiving at Adelaide House. I could not have looked after her better myself. The staff are so kind and friendly, and they treat residents with sensitivity to their individual needs and with dignity. I live too far away to visit often, so
I love the newsletters with pictures of my aunty enjoying activities and outings. It is so nice and reassuring that residents are helped to lead as normal a life as possible, with a summer garden party, Christmas cocktail party and garden centre visits. A big thank you to all the staff who work so hard to help my aunty be comfortable and happy.

My father moved into Adelaide House last year, after a dreadful spell in hospital. Happily, he is now very comfortable and settled at Adelaide House. The staff are thoroughly professional while also being compassionate and caring. His nursing needs are dealt with to a high standard, but equally important,
the staff make time to talk with him and ensure that his well-being needs are also met. During my visits, I have enjoyed meeting with both management and staff and all have been courteous and helpful. I am really glad my father ended up here and most importantly - so is he!

Our mother moved to Adelaide House in December after a time in Hospital. From the moment we stepped into Adelaide House we were impressed at how all the staff made us feel so welcome. Mum has been independent for 95 years and we knew this was going to be a difficult move for her, all the staff have
shown her kindness and given her time to adjust and settle into her new surroundings. Nothing has been too much trouble and they show so much compassion and dignity towards all their residents, it's been a humbling experience. It's good to see Mum relaxed and smiling again. I would highly recommend Adelaide House for your loved ones.

Our father moved to Adelaide House in mid-November. From the moment he was welcomed in, he was taken care of so well and thoughtfully, the staff could not do enough for him. The week after he moved there he celebrated his 99th birthday and the staff decorated his room, made a 99 cake and sang Happy
Birthday to him! It was a wonderful day for him, also I got to see him out of bed which I hadn't seen since January 2024 as he had been bedbound in the intervening months. He settled in so well but sadly died 2 weeks after moving to Adelaide House. Again the care at this sad time was superb, I stayed with him throughout the night and the nursing staff were so supportive then and afterwards when we came to empty his room. I would not hesitate to recommend Adelaide House for the wonderful care they gave our father in his last weeks of life.

All the staff are really friendly and helpful. Adelaide runs like clockwork and all the rooms are clean. They arrange various activities for those who wish to join in and cater for individual needs. I used to visit once a week with my Therapy dog Willow who the residents loved. I was made very welcome
and it was nice to chat to the residents about their history and past. There is no shortage of food they are very well looked after at Adelaide House Nursing Home.

Adelaide House is a great care home. Dignity is at the heart of everything they do. They always display care and sensitivity towards the residents and are eager to help them maintain as good a quality of life as is possible. They run activities often, including visitors to the home and trips out for
those who can go. They also hold various parties and events throughout the year including a summer garden party and a Christmas cocktail party (with raffle prizes!). My dad has been a resident, following a stroke, since 2004, and throughout that time, they have done their best to support and care for him.

Our 95-year-old Dad moved to Adelaide House in July 2024 after a 4-month stay in hospital following two strokes. Before his strokes, Dad had been living independently in his own home, so we were unsure how well he would take to living in a residential care setting.
We are delighted that he has settled
in so well at Adelaide. The staff are attentive and kind, and in his own words he says 'They can't do enough for me'. He loves his room, the food, and the level of care he receives. We visit regularly but are kept informed of any issues Dad might have.
We are more than satisfied that he is very well cared for and that his needs, both medical and practical are met. We would not hesitate to recommend Adelaide House to anyone seeking residential care for a friend or family member.

My mother was admitted to Adelaide house from hospital and was sadly only in there for just under a month but the time she spent there was first class. management and all the staff were so caring, kind, patient and supportive of my mum's needs. They communicated with the family at all times and always

A close neighbour and friend of over 40 years was placed here post-Covid, after spells in hospital. She remained in residence for over 3 years. She was mentally capable but immobile. Although needing to be hoisted whenever she was moved, she was treated with caution and sensitive care. The staff were
always welcoming and met all our needs. Even in her last week our friend had commented how happy she was at the home and she liked the people and staff she interacted with.

My mother entered Adelaide House last November on palliative care, aged 95 and with an unstable neck break. Despite having demanding needs, the nurses have provided her with the specialist care and attention she has needed. Moreover, all the staff have worked tirelessly to help her adjust to this new
phase in her life and to provide her with loving support and the stability needed, after having spent the previous 7 months of her life in a number of different hospitals and rehab units.
We are extremely grateful to have found such a caring and compassionate nursing home, that reflects the professional standards of its staff!
