Grasmere Nursing Home

Grasmere has provided my frail mother with a safe environment for many months. I have been impressed with the care and dedication of all the staff. However, larger homes may benefit from extra facilities/activities.

I feel extremely relieved to have found Grasmere Nursing Home. It’s been three and half years since they took my mother in and the care and kindness she has received there has been superb. I feel that the manager and her team do everything they can, and more to ensure that the residents have the best possible experience of being in care. I think it’s an exceptional place. I hear some terrible stories from my friends about their experiences of their relatives in residential care and am eternally grateful that mine are in Grasmere.

My step-father lives at Grasmere, and I cannot thank the staff enough. They are kind, compassionate and look after him extremely well.

Mum continues to receive excellent care. The staff are caring, friendly and professional. The standard of cleanliness and decoration of the home is very high. I would have no hesitation in recommending Grasmere.

I feel my mum has settled well in her home, staff, food, cleanliness and dignity towards mum and her visitors are amazing. Very focused on each resident treats them all as individuals. In time we think she will settle and fulfil her time here. Lovely place all in all.

Grasmere is the jewel in the crown as far as myself and my four siblings think. Since our mum moved in, she has always been treated with the utmost care and respect which has also been extended to us as a family. All of the staff are warm and friendly, a cup of tea/coffee is always offered and the communication between us is excellent. The home is clean and bright and the activities have always been superb. We couldn't be happier and it is a great weight off our shoulders that Mum is so well looked after.

Since my mother has moved into Grasmere Nursing Home I have seen a gradual improvement in her health and overall outlook to life. The staff are very caring and I feel we made the right choice choosing Grasmere Nursing Home.

I am always greeted with a smile by the staff. They are always welcoming and available to update me on how the person I am visiting is doing. The home has a friendly and caring feel.

My mother has been living at Grasmere Nursing Home for 20 months. As soon as you walk in the door you are welcomed with a warm and happy greeting into a very clean, friendly environment. It is very evident the nurses, carers and staff are hard working, diligent and professional with the care they provide. Despite my mother's dementia, her health has greatly improved since residing at Grasmere. The nursing team continue to give wonderful support to us, guidance, peace of mind, always there to care and help in any way. I am very grateful to everyone at Grasmere and highly recommend this nursing home.

I have three brothers and a sister and all are happy with the care mum gets.

If it was not for my two daughters I don't think I would have been able to find such an exceptional nursing home, which I have stated before to the Matron of Grasmere. The staff are very attentive to all residents including my wife, the home is nicely decorated, always clean and smells pleasant.

Staff always friendly. Answer any questions. Quickly attended residents push alarm button. Residents look clean and well.
