Lound Hall Nursing Home in Lound, Suffolk is an award-winning care home offering long-term and short-term residential and nursing care, palliative/end of life care as well as continuing care for older people.

The home also provides respite and post-operative care with nurses and care staff on site 24 hours a day.

Set in 3 acres of countryside, the nursing home's management believes that the body and the mind are very closely linked and that keeping the body active, even for those who are perhaps less mobile than they once were, can also do wonders for their state of mind.

The home's activities co-ordinator organises events to stimulate both body and mind including live music and dancing, bingo, quizzes, card games, arts and crafts, day trips out, reminiscence therapy, aerobic exercise to music and visits from local religious figures.

Residents can also enjoy physiotherapy, occupation and speech therapy, podiatry, aromatherapy, reflexology, hairdressers, beautician and library services.

At my initial interview visit I was greeted warmly and professionally. Once my companion was admitted he became relaxed and spoke well of his room and the attention he received from all levels and grades of staff. It was a pleasure visit my friend for 3 hours each day. When he succumbed to his terminal
conditions my companion, my son, and I were treated with care, dignity and respect, for which I say a big thank you for making his last days bearable.

Mum has only been here a short time but has settled well. The care she has been shown has been heart warming. Mum lost dad in January so it's been a tough time for all of us especially mum. The empathy and understanding, kindness and care mum has and is getting is incredible. I will always be truly

My mother-in-law's health had been deteriorating over the last few years, initially requiring her to move from her own home into a care home. Then her health deteriorated again requiring her to move from a care home into a nursing home.
This was when we were first introduced to Lound Hall, who from
the beginning were confident in their own ability to help.
While they did, however, Mother-in-law's health continued to worsen. Unfortunately, she had to be moved into hospital to attempt to stabilise her, which they were unable to do.
This was when Lound Hall showed their total professionalism, with management and support staff raising their game and giving as much assistance to me as they could.

The staff at Lound went beyond for my dad and even for the family. Dad had always found it hard to adapt to new things and being in new places but warmed up very quickly to Lound Hall Care Home. I was worried about Dad being in a care home at first as any daughter would but the staff are lovely, polite,
empathetic, and caring and they always go the extra mile. We were always comfortable at every visit and you could see that Dad was very well looked after. Before Dad passed he mentioned how lovely the staff was, he really enjoyed the cooking and the chefs were lovely. The chefs would politely ask Dad what food he would like and always made food to suit Dad's needs. The care home is lovely and clean and cleaned more than twice a day which is really lovely. My family and myself felt so respected and cared for during this difficult time. The staff at the care home really are amazing and I'm incredibly grateful that my dad was in safe hands. Dad loved Lound Hall Care Home and so did the family.

My mother was a resident in Lound Hall for approximately a year following a serious stroke. The care given to her by the staff was outstanding in every respect. She was treated with warmth, compassion and respect by everyone, right up until her final days. My wife and I were made to feel welcome whenever
we visited and the flow of information from the admin staff was first-rate. Mum was encouraged to join in the many community activities and was thrown a lovely lunch party for her 90th. The home is cosy and comfortable with several communal areas for residents to mingle. I would have no hesitation recommending Lound Hall to anyone who wants a loved one to receive top-quality professional care and have peace of mind for themselves.

I have been at Lound Hall for one year and when I originally came for a fortnight. I have always felt settled here although I regret that Lound Hall is not nearer to my home in Lowestoft. On the whole, I have found the other residents amiable and friendly.

When my mum first went to Lound Hall I really thought she would not be with us for too much longer, however, four years later due to the love and care she is given at Lound Hall Mum is thriving. Mum is happy and safe. I cannot praise the management and staff enough. They go above and beyond what their

I cannot praise this care home enough. My grandmother has been living at Lound Hall Nursing Home for over a year now and is so happy. The care, respect and genuine love for the residents come across every time I visit which is usually once a week. The staff are truly exceptional and nothing is too much
trouble. I would highly recommend this Nursing Home to anyone.

Staff are very caring and they don’t rush Mum.
Has been there quite a while now, settled and calls it home.

The staff at Lound Hall have been fantastic the support and care and compassion have been outstanding and the end-of-life support show by the staff I will never forget.

We are happy with Lound Hall care home because my mum is well looked after there. She is always washed with clean clothes every day. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They are very helpful to Mum and us. Would recommend it to family and friends.

We could not have found a better place for my mum to spend her last few weeks.
The care, support and compassion she enjoyed made those last few weeks the best she enjoyed in quite a while.

My father-in-law moved to Lound Hall Care Home following a month in hospital, he arrived frail and anxious. He was very quickly put at ease by the manager, and members of staff. The care and attention he received from everyone at the home was exceptional. His last three weeks were full of love, fun,
lots of smiles and song. As a family we couldn't ask for more. We felt well supported by everyone at the home. On the night he died the care he received by the night staff was again exceptional and compassionate. Thank you.

The two rooms my father has occupied are limited in size. Also, the temperature was too hot for him making it difficult to sleep. The staff are always very attentive and supportive of his needs.

Visited eleven homes looking for the right place for my lovely dad and went with my gut feeling. I picked Lound Hall and without a doubt I know I've made the right decision. Dad has been here since September 2022 and the love and care he is receiving have exceeded my expectations. I could not be happier.
I live in the USA and I am an only child so it was critical for me to find a place for dad where he will be well cared for when I can't be there. Lound Hall is that place. It's so homely and the staff always go above and beyond to make all the residents feel special! Thank you so much!

My mum moved into Lound Hall about seven weeks ago. Although she has been very poorly, the level of care she has received has been excellent. All the care staff are extremely kind and caring. The level of care my mum has received is exceptional. The management team, particularly the two senior nurses,
are also very good, as are the carers, the catering team, cleaners and entertainment staff. The whole ethos and culture at Lound Hall have made both my mum and us as a family safe and cared for. I cannot thank to team enough and would wholeheartedly recommend Lound Hall.

Siobhan Fennell

Job Title: Registered Home Manager Joined: 2025

Siobhan joined Lound Hall in February 2025 as the Home Manager.
Siobhan began her healthcare journey as a nurse, working in A&E and Intensive Care. In 2017, Siobhan transitioned to the community healthcare sector, specializing in the rehabilitation of patients with acquired brain injuries and strokes.
Most recently Siobhan has been working as a General Manager in the care sector and has aided in raising the standards of three services rated inadequate and requires improvement to achieve a "Good" rating with the CQC.

Erica Quintal

Job Title: Clinical Lead Joined: 2023

Erica came to the UK from Portugal in 2012 after completing her nursing degree. She worked in London for 7 years, gaining experience in dementia and palliative care, before joining Lound Hall in 2023. Erica's conscientious and dedicated nature adds structure and support to the nursing team. As a result of Erica's exceptional service at Lound Hall, she was promoted to the role of Clinical Lead in July 2025.
