Overall Experience

My father-in-law moved to Lound Hall Care Home following a month in hospital, he arrived frail and anxious. He was very quickly put at ease by the manager, and members of staff. The care and attention he received from everyone at the home was exceptional. His last three weeks were full of love, fun, lots of smiles and song. As a family we couldn't ask for more. We felt well supported by everyone at the home. On the night he died the care he received by the night staff was again exceptional and compassionate. Thank you.

The two rooms my father has occupied are limited in size. Also, the temperature was too hot for him making it difficult to sleep. The staff are always very attentive and supportive of his needs.

Visited eleven homes looking for the right place for my lovely dad and went with my gut feeling. I picked Lound Hall and without a doubt I know I've made the right decision. Dad has been here since September 2022 and the love and care he is receiving have exceeded my expectations. I could not be happier. I live in the USA and I am an only child so it was critical for me to find a place for dad where he will be well cared for when I can't be there. Lound Hall is that place. It's so homely and the staff always go above and beyond to make all the residents feel special! Thank you so much!

My mum moved into Lound Hall about seven weeks ago. Although she has been very poorly, the level of care she has received has been excellent. All the care staff are extremely kind and caring. The level of care my mum has received is exceptional. The management team, particularly the two senior nurses, are also very good, as are the carers, the catering team, cleaners and entertainment staff. The whole ethos and culture at Lound Hall have made both my mum and us as a family safe and cared for. I cannot thank to team enough and would wholeheartedly recommend Lound Hall.

My mum is ninety-nine years old today. I went to visit her this afternoon. Her room had been trimmed with birthday flags and balloons. Mum was comfortable in her bed although wanting to close her eyes for an afternoon nap. I am sure she was understanding of all the attention, especially when many members of staff came in to sing happy birthday with a cake. Mum enjoyed her cake with cream, always has done!. So grateful thank you to all the staff for making an afternoon to remember.

We chose Lound Hall for end-of-life care because my husband had cancer.
The level of care was amazing, going above and beyond. An amazingly dedicated team who brought care, compassion, and a little bit of fun at a very difficult time. The support and kindness shown to all the family by all staff were immeasurable, showing respect and dignity at all times to my husband.

The values of Lound Hall certainly ring true in the care given. We, as a family, will be forever grateful.

My mother has recently moved into Lound at the start of this month. She has settled in very quickly and having her closer is a comfort to me. She’s always happy when I visit and told me about the party she just attended. All the staff are very attentive to her needs and I now know she is safe and I don’t have to worry, as she’s not on her own anymore or a long distance away. Her room has her pictures up already and she tells me how the lovely girls make her bed nicely. The carers always check on her and drinks are always offered whenever I’m there. She says there’s so much food I can’t eat it all but I give it a good go. Thank you to all of you after a long nine months of worry that we can now enjoy quality times together.

Lound is a brilliant location in a very elegant setting and I have never detected a suggestion of an institutional atmosphere. The staff are friendly and effortlessly professional. It is a pleasure to visit Lound. I am always made to feel welcome either when I visit or ring up. My brother is in good place and seems to have been sheltered from the first rounds of COVID.

My mum has been so well cared for. The carers are very considerate and hard working. All the staff are kind and friendly, Mum loves everyone at Lound Hall and they love her. It gives me peace of mind and they have reassured me during Mum's time at Lound Hall. She is happy and as content as possible. I am so glad we moved Mum in well before lockdown.

When my friend, who is like a mum to me, became a resident she was not happy and unsettled but after a while, with the love and care she got from all the carers, she changed to a happy and very grateful person. She tells me she's in a lovely place full of love, which I have felt myself whenever I visit. Such a very happy and caring nursing home.

Staff are extremely attentive and kind, the entertainment activities are particularly good with every effort made to keep the residents engaged. The decor is becoming a little tired in places but it is the care, quality of life, attention and dignity given to the residents that is important and in my view Lound Hall is outstanding.

My mum was in Lound Hall for over four years. During that time, the staff cared for and looked after her as her dementia worsened. I cannot fault the way they cared for her; Mum loved being there, and it was home to her. They treated her like family and not a resident. The room she was in looked outside, and everyone waved to her when they came in, acknowledging she was there. The grounds are lovely, and the staff make sure everyone can go outside in the nice weather. I can’t fault it.

Although my sister was only resident for ten days for end of life care, I could not have been happier about the care she received. The staff were friendly, responsive and thoughtful and treated my sister with enormous dignity and consideration - nothing was too much trouble. As relatives, we were also shown great courtesy and kindness, and I am so grateful my sister's last days were spent in the care of Lound Hall.

Upon arrival to view the care home for my Dad, I was greeted by a friendly, welcoming manager who was both caring and informative. Dad was apprehensive about going there, but he needn't have been, because all staff were and continue to be amazing in all aspects of his care.
