My mum has been in this care home for just two weeks. The treatment and care she has received have been outstanding from all members of staff. We as a family have all said what a wonderful nursing home it is. We are always made welcome when we see Mum and we go at any time. I just can't praise everyone enough for their fantastic care. Well done all.
Hi June, thank you for your appreciation of the care and services that we provide to your mum. The staff will be thrilled to see this feedback. Kind regards.
My Nan is currently in Westbury Nursing Home and I don't think she could be treated better! The staff are always so friendly when I go in to visit her and I love that I can still have 1-1 time with her. She is the lady who never wanted to leave her last home but since being diagnosed with Dementia, we had to find something more appropriate to help her long term. Knowing she is safe here is such a weight off of the shoulders. Sadly in hospital, she was never rehabilitated so lost most of the strength in her legs but this care home makes her as comfortable as possible and for that I'm so grateful! She has also gained weight back since being here (she was becoming very frail) and the staff are always coming around with meals and cake! The rooms are quite dated but I think this is appropriate for the elderly. Thank you for looking after my Nan and giving her the care that she needs. Our family were admittedly struggling before we found you and we are all at ease now she is happy and safe!
Hi Leona, thank you for the positive feedback that you have given us. We will do our best to provide the best care for your grandmother. Many thanks.
My brother who was diagnosed with dementia, was a resident for 18 months. I can honestly say he received the very best care, kindness and respect from all the staff that I could ever wish for him. This gave me immense peace of mind knowing he was being so well looked after. All the staff were always supportive, helpful and kind to myself and my husband. Every time we visited we were always supplied with endless tea, cake and biscuits. They came across to us like nothing was too much trouble, always going above and beyond. They also helped celebrate his birthday with banners, balloons and cake of which we all thoroughly enjoyed.
In my brother's last days, he received the most amazing end-of-life care that I've ever known, by all the staff. My family and I will forever be eternally grateful. We cannot sing the staff's praises enough, they truly are the most dedicated, committed team. We highly recommend this nursing home to anyone seeking a place for a loved one.
This is a lovely nursing home, the managers, nurses and care staff, are wonderful. They are kind, respectful, gentle and very patient. The level of care is of an excellent standard and the home is spotless and the cleaners make it sparkle. The food is excellent which is very important to my dad. When it was my parent's 75th wedding anniversary they arranged a meal for them to have together and made such an effort to make their day special, with balloons, banners and a cake. They went above and beyond. I am a registered nurse myself and I looked at a lot of nursing homes. I know quality care when I see it and the Westbury nursing home provided everything we were looking for in a care home for my 94-year-old dad.
My cousin has been in the Westbury since February 2018. Her continual care is second to none. We are always welcome when we visit. She is always clean, well fed and treated with great dignity. I couldn't be more grateful for her first-class care during lockdown. Due to her deteriorating condition, she can be awkward but the staff are kind, patient and manage a smile. I am so grateful.
It's home from home! What a wonderful place to be! My Grandmother is so very content at the Westbury Gardens Residential Home and this shows with such positive comments she gives about staff and general care. She has also said the meals throughout the day are hotel standard! If there is anything she ever needs, staff go out out of their way to accommodate this; nothing is ever a problem. The staff are so kind and gentle. Even when they pick up the phone, greet you at the door or even help to set up a Facetime call, they are so friendly. This is heartwarming when you know a loved one is in their care. Thank you for making her so welcome and so well looked after.
Excellent care. My friend is treated with care and dignity by the whole staff team. Management and support staff, including receptionists and activities organisers, are excellent. My friend's needs are dealt with in a thoughtful and responsive way. They have dealt with the whole covid pandemic most successfully.
Moving from a much-loved home of his own to residential care during a pandemic was never going to be easy. However, despite all the difficulties, the staff here have been excellent. All the carers, without exception, have been kind and patient, nothing is too much trouble. Communication between the staff and our family is good. The latter being of particular importance over the last year or so. My Dad says himself that he is very well cared for. His room is kept clean and fresh. He says the food is plentiful and of good quality. Dad feels safe and is always happy to return after a trip out. Westbury Gardens has a warm, cheerful feel and we are fortunate to have found such a great place for Dad to call Home.
I have found this care home very well run through this difficult time of the pandemic. Understandably they have stuck by their rules and gradually allowed more frequent visits for more people. So I am beginning to see more of the staff and have more of an idea on daily activities as well as seeing my daughter's room.
All of my mother needs are met on a day to day basis, she really enjoys her time at this home after struggling to live at home on her own home, the transition was not a problem due to the welcoming nature of the staff.
The food and day to day entertainment is very good, always something going on to keep my mother occupied if she wishes
All in all she couldn’t wish for a better place
My mum has lived at The Westbury for just 3 years now. The care given to her is exceptional my mum has extensive medical needs and all the staff go up and beyond to care for her nothing is ever too much trouble for any member of staff. My sister and I couldn't have found a better home for mum where we know she is loved and safe. They are so understanding and when mum was really ill a few weeks ago we felt so supported by the staff. Having a relative go into a care home is never easy but The Westbury has been and still is mums home and extended family even more so since covid.
I can’t write enough in this limited space to expound the virtues of this Nursing Home. It is lovely. It is big, active, bright, friendly. I just felt it had a ‘buzz’ which my mum loved. If your preference is for a quieter residency, this can easily be catered for, but Westbury has a really positive feel when you first walk in. From initial assessment to moving in mum was treated with dignity, kindness and respect. And this care and attention were themes throughout my mum’s stay. The care and entertainment staff were lovely and the food is great. We do not pay our care staff what they deserve! To be balanced I ought to mention a few negatives. The lovely outside space on the top floor needs attention. This is a big asset. Please relay the decking and improve planting. If you want carpets and oak furniture in your room, choose a more expensive nursing home! Sometimes the night staff weren’t as caring as we would have liked - staff shortages! Still gets 100% vote from me.
Excellent nursing care with my husband's type 1 diabetes - very good control. Excellent cleaning of rooms etc - faultless. Excellent laundry service - private and general. Extremely polite and pleasant staff - both admin and nursing side. Also, endlessly patient and sympathetic when dealing with me and my husband. In short, all around excellent.
My mother has been here several years now having moved from the adjacent gardens residential home. She has received excellent care throughout her time here. The home and the rooms are spotlessly clean, the residents are well looked after, and the food is excellent. Not only at mealtimes, but also the excellent cakes and drinks at various times of the day.
The care staff have been doing an excellent job of looking after her many needs whilst the entertainment staff are very friendly and provide activities and engagement with the residents in a cheerful positive way. During the COVID situation, they have been arranging video calls, which have been very helpful, and now that visiting is again allowed, the welcome and help at reception is as it always has been, excellent.
Highly recommended.
While my friend was in The Westbury care home, she received the best care. The staff were marvellous, they were patient, gave her their time, they listened to what she had to say. The food was fantastic and an excellent choice. I can not speak highly enough of this home. My friend lived as long as she did because of the care, they met her medical needs. And the main thing was that she was happy and loved the staff and they loved her.
My father received high-quality care from all members of the team. My father came from hospital for a 28-day-care assessment. The whole team to be acknowledged being laundry, catering, administration, physio and nursing. All working seamlessly to provide individualised, caring, friendly and professional service.
The staff are exceptional; Dad was suffering with delirium/ dementia a lot of the time and all of his carers treated him kindly and with respect. Nothing was too much trouble. I consider we were fortunate to have found a place for him there, and although he was always struggling to go home, the staff made his final days and weeks as peaceful as possible.
The quality of the staff, and the care provided was of the highest standard my father had terminal cancer, and spent the last eight weeks of his life in the home. Throughout, he was treated with the highest care, respect and dignity. The family were always welcomed and informed at all times. The staff are always friendly, polite and professional. The last weeks of my fathers life were difficult but the home and the staff enabled this to be as easy and caring as possible.
