Churchill House Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Mother was a resident for nearly three years. She was happy there, and joined the numerous activities when she was able to.
During our visits, we received a warm welcome from the staff, which was much appreciated. Team members always popped in to make sure all was ok, and to say hello to Mum and
to us.
As she became more frail, Beryl was treated with kindness, compassion, dignity and respect.
Her room was always warm and well looked after, and her care was outstanding.
The whole team are brilliant, thank you all.

The staff are caring, kind and have unlimited patience. They are also doing a wonderful job of entertaining the residents, so that there is always something going on.
The care provided is personal, and we as a family are so glad we found Hamble Heights to look after our darling Daddy.

On our first visit to dad I just wanted to take him home... This was all new to us and I hated it. On visiting him a couple of days later, it felt very different... The staff were so lovely. There have been times that I've got so upset and they are very supportive and kind. Most importantly they are
kind and caring to dad and his needs. He seems content and has started to settle well. He engages with all the activities daily which are varied. So far, all has been positive since he has been there. The staff have been fab in every way.

Lovely friendly care home, amazing staff. Residents are at the heart of everything that happens. Rooms are clean and well-kept. My father is supported according to his needs. He is given freedom and options relating to all elements of his daily living. Food is of excellent quality and there is plenty
of choice. There is a good selection of activities for residents to take part in, and a timetable is available for families so they can support residents at activities. Afternoon tea each Wednesday is fabulous and residents can attend tea each Wednesday and residents can attend alone or with family. Those who attend along are really well looked after.

Isle Court is fabulous. The staff are friendly and polite. All staff show responsibility and accountability for their job roles and support families so they don't need to worry about their residents/family members care. Residents feel this is their home and each person is respected for their differences.
Isle Court is clean tidy and welcoming. Food is of a high standard and families are welcomed to join. The staff listen to family request and residents preferences and do all they can to meet them. Activities here are great. Isle Court takes great pride in providing the best care and it shows in the residents happiness.

My mum stayed at Fairview from June to October when sadly she passed away. The care she received throughout her short stay in Lavender was outstanding, her end of life care was compassionate and dignified to the end.
The staff are amazing, we were always greeted by name, and with a smile, day or night
and nothing was ever too much trouble for anyone. They really are a credit to the home, thank you guys, we genuinely appreciate everything you did for mum xx

Dad originally went in for respite at very short notice which Bowbrook managed to accommodate for which we were extremely grateful. Following private diagnosis it soon became apparent respite would become permanent. Bowbrook and the staff have been fantastic with their support, not just to my father
but the family also, and in offering advice, and he now has settled in comfortably. Bowbrook hold several activities for the residents each month, and we try and support as many as possible, which my father really enjoys and gets him involved. He seems very happy so thank you Bowbrook.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother has been in the Westbury Care Home for a year and a half. She needs close supervision and nursing care. She has just had her Hundredth birthday. My overall experience has been a constant
Kind and understanding care. The staff have aways listened to what I and my mother suggest regarding
her needs and have acted on them. The rooms are cleaned every day and clean linen is applied to the beds. The rooms have on suet facilities and chairs which residents and relatives can relax in. The lounge and dining areas are clean and comfortable. The activities are varied and the residence are encouraged to take an active part in the different sessions that they enjoy. The management ensure that the residence safety is paramount. Wearing of alarms so that the residents can call for help. Up to date equipment for moving and lifting patients. The management up date care plans with the residents relatives and the nursing staff's communication with residents and relatives is constant.

Mum arrived at Birchlands on 31st May 2024 and from the beginning was treated with kindness and respect. Nothing was too much trouble for the carers and Mum settled in nicely. All the carers and staff have a lovely caring nature and both my sister and I were confident that Mum would be very well looked
after.
The only concern I did have was that Mum wasn't taken out side enough in her wheelchair. She would have benefitted from the fresh air and she loved having coffees in the local cafes.

My aunt arrived initially needing respite for 2 months in September 2024. But her needs were that she needed long term care so she became a permanent resident and the care home management helped her and the family to get her settled which was very helpful and reassuring at such a difficult time her
needs were met adequately and we were very happy with the staff who kept us informed of any issues that arose. We couldn't of asked for any more care and consideration they gave my aunt and us as a family right to her final ending in September 2025.

Ashbourne Court is a very caring nursing home y late father was here nearly 3 years ago, so having seen and had knowledge of the home, that is why when my dear friend need help, I put Ashbourne Court forward to the family. Management is very good, any problems you may have they will listen, take on
board and sort it out. We all know that be it family member or friend nobody want to go into a nursing home. So I feel that this nursing home does it's very best to make them feel at home.
