We visited on Easter Sunday and there was such a special atmosphere: the residents took part in an Easter egg hunt in the garden and the staff made a big fuss and were lovely!

Mum was very poorly when she arrived at Argentum, but within a week or so, she was up and about, joining in activities with the other residents. The level of care, and engagement given by the staff is excellent. And the many different enrichment activities provided are also excellent.

Mum has been at Bowbrook for a short while, her experience has been fantastic, before she moved in we went through a really thorough assessment process and they produced the most wonderful care plan it's like reading a book about my mum they have captured her wants and needs flawlessly.
The care has
been exceptional I feel like the staff know mum so well, the food is great they cook all the meals in the household and it smells so good.
The two activities ladies are great they get mum involved this is the most social she has been in a long while, the activities are well thought through and I love to look through the daily social media posts.
A huge thankyou to Bowbrook foretelling our family through this month difficult time and making it a great experience

I shall always be deeply grateful for the care my wife received for the last two years of her life. She was suffering from terminal cancer and had been paralysed from the chest down by a tumour on her spine. Verulam House was able to provide the personal care, medication and in particular hoisting which
enabled her to continue a high quality of life. My wife was able to maintain her friendships, interests and even professional work thanks to the flexibility of staff who aided her independence and attended her individual needs. She was able to use her electric wheelchair inside and outside the home and her many friends made warmly welcome. Nursing staff were willing to discuss her medication with her and liaison with the GP was excellent, both when changes were needed and in the all-important palliative care. Help was always prompt from health care assistants too. It was the excellent relationships with staff I remember most fondly, meaning she was always encouraged and never despairi.

Having used another care home a year ago as a short term measure after a fall, when my mother needed to move into full time care we chose Argentum ahead of the other provider. The facilities are newer and the staff all very friendly and efficient. The food seems to be very good overall and the activities
are varied. Mum commented on having a manicure for the first time ever. We are always welcomed when we visit and can always get a cup of tea.

We had to find a carehome for Mum after she became too ill to live alone. We looked at many but Argentum stood head and shoulders above the rest in every aspect.
Mum was so independent before and had a hard time adjusting at first but with the wonderful, supportive, patient, kind approach from ALL
staff she has settled in well and loves her carers. I live abroad as does my brother so knowing mum is in such amazing hands means the world to us.
ALL staff go above and beyond their duties and nothing is ever too much trouble. I have made lovely connections with mums main carers and they keeo us in the loop as a family with everything.
I am so grateful that we found Argentum Lodge. Xx

Mum has been in Bowbrook since September 2024. She has settled in really well and loves her room. I am so grateful for the excellent care she is receiving, all the staff are so friendly and professional. Mum is nearly 102 , very alert mentally, and able to appreciate the help she receives at
this stage in her life. She has actually gained weight.

Mum was here less than 12 years in end of life care but I can't fault the welcome we and she received. Every member of staff of all grades was very friendly and went over and above in everything. Thank you so much we really appreciate it.

My grandfather recently moved into Bowbrook after having a bout of falls at home, as a family we felt that he needed round the clock care. From the moment he walked through the doors at Bowbrook he has been so settled and it was like he had always been there. There is so much going on throughout the
day it has given him a new lease of life, he loves to do crafting with the Activities people and he even enjoys a game or two of dominoes. He really enjoys the various meals that are on offer, he's even gained a little bit since moving in. The staff always seem to be going above and beyond for all of the residents that live here.

Many many thanks to all the staff who made my friend so happy, calm and loved whist receiving excellent medical care.She very much appreciated their professionalism and kindness.She enjoyed a great relationship with the staff who gradually became her real and trusted friends.As a visitor I was always
made very welcome and enjoyed coming .The staff make a great team making the home happy and calm. I can strongly recommend this care home.

My mother has just arrived at Vale View Heights for care due to dementia. Such an amazing place. The staff couldn't be kinder and so caring. Nothing is too much for them. Mum is happy, smiling and feeling at home, enjoying the wonderful activities fabulous food and the caring that is offered. Thank
