We knew as soon as we met the home manager at Vale View Heights and all the staff, that mum would receive the best care - which she did! Everyone there is kind, compassionate and caring. They are experienced and skilled in what they do, co-ordinating with doctors and the NHS as required. The room was
bright and airy with ensuite and the food was outstanding.

I was so delighted that mum was able to come to the Oakdale Care Home for her final days. It was an honour & privilege to be with mum during her last weeks with us. A very special time indeed. The staff, the manager, reception, nurses, carers & even the cleaner only added to the beauty of the experience.
They were highly respectful, full of compassion, and took a holistic approach to the care provided.

I want to express how pleased I am with the nursing home where my grandfather lives. He has Alzheimer's and it's important for him to be in a safe place. The staff is friendly and caring. They take the time to interact with my grandfather, making him feel comfortable. Their patience really helps him
each day. The nursing home is clean and well-kept, which makes us feel better about his living situation. Overall, I feel good knowing my grandfather is well cared for in a nice environment. We appreciate everything the staff does for him.

My Father has always been a difficult person. He has never liked to mix with people. He is very stubborn and as the dementia has progressed, has become very aggressive, damaging a number of doors and windows with his walking stick. The staff have been and continue to be amazing with him. Showing patience,
understanding and professional care. They look after his physical and mental needs with compassion and dignity. When he was at home, he refused any kind of personal hygiene, not washing or changing his clothes for months at a time. The staff have managed to give my dad regular showers which I know is next to a miracle! I cannot praise the staff of Oldbury Grange enough!

Manager friendly & welcoming & supportive. Reception staff friendly & welcoming. Nurses professional, caring. Care assistants very caring of patients & family visiting. Overall experience - There's some fantastic people who work there they see the whole person and do their jobs with sensitivity and
care. Even the cleaners, just the little things that makes it a bit easier to visit, like the cleaner who saw me coming would open the doors for me and smile. Thank you so very much to you all for looking after my mother in her last days.
Reply from Lesley Brock, General Manager at Oakdale Care HomeOn behalf of the entire team, I would like to offer our deepest condolences to you and your family. Please know that our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

We are incredibly touched that you took a moment to share such thoughtful feedback. It is heartening to hear that you felt supported by our management and reception teams, and that our nurses and care assistants provided the professional, sensitive care your mother deserved.

We truly believe that "the little things," like a warm smile or a held door, are essential to providing a compassionate environment, and it means a lot to know those gestures made your visits a little easier.

Thank you for your kind recognition of our team's dedication to seeing "the whole person." It was an honor for us to care for your mother and to support your family.

My husband has Parkinson's and dementia with Lewy Bodies which means that as he has deteriorated, he has needed more nursing care. This is provided by an excellent group of nurses and carers. The home has recently undergone renovation, carpets in corridors have been removed meaning it is now noisier
and nothing to absorb the sound. Groups of chairs at the end of corridors have been removed, sad because they provided places where residents and families could sit and chat. The owners seem to have lost sight of the fact that this is a peoples home.

Stretton Hall Nursing Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I am delighted and comforted by the care and affection my father receives in the beautiful surroundings of Stretton Hall. The nursing and care teams are kind and diligent and have a genuine relationship with my father which he values very highly. He is treated with dignity and respect and is blossoming
in confidence in managing his own mobility, walking short distances unaided where previously he needed support. The hall itself is a beautiful period house which is characterful and comfortable in tree-lined, pretty gardens. The atmosphere is calm and happy. Rachel and Leanne are extremely responsive in person and via telephone and show great awareness of Dad's condition and attitude on a daily basis. The activities led by Charmaine are creative and enjoyable bringing all residents together regardless of age or aptitude. The food is excellent and lunchtime meals are served socially in a dining room at tables laid with linen, china and cutlery giving a sense of specialness to each day.
Reply from Rachel Price, Home Manager at Stretton Hall Nursing HomeThank you so much, Jo, for taking the time to share such a lovely review. Your father is an absolute pleasure to have with us. He has settled into Stretton wonderfully and has really embraced community life, getting involved in activities like gardening and choir. We're delighted to hear that you're happy with the care and support he is receiving. I will gladly pass this review onto the team.

On visiting, mother always seems comfortable, clean, happy with food and content. Generally happy with the home. There have been issues, which have led to her legs contracting and now she is bed bound, how much of this was poor management and how much her age/condition is hard to know. Communication
about this issue was poor but has since improved.

Hamble Heights Care Home

We selected Hamble Heights on the reviews and a personal visit. I must say we were impressed from the start.
We were greeted upon our arrival and shown around. You could just sense, that this nursing home really did care for their residents and went the extra mile. All of the staff, not just the carers,
go above and beyond, they were in fact exceptional.
Our mother was there for just under eight weeks and was looked after so well. When our mother passed, that staff came in and paid their respects and were genuinely upset.
No one wants to see their love one pass, but when it has to happen, Hamble Heights is the nursing home to take care of them.
They really are exceptional.

Corbrook Park Nursing Home

Dementia patient, can be challenging.
But apparently this home is trained and staffed for his needs.!
Massive decline since arriving here, weight loss, agitation, aggression (apparently) Shocking conditions.! No dignity, absolute disgusting cleanliness, lack of staff, lack of interaction, constant
bruising and cuts to family member and not enough knowledge of how these incidents have happened.!
Upon our visit we found him in someone else's bed, naked with Faeces all over his fingers this is at 12.30pm carers didn't know where he was then panicked and got him washed stripped his own bed which had Faeces all over it, while we had to wait in his room with urine on the floor absolutely stinking while a carer showered him. When they got him out of the other persons bed carer just pulled duvet off him whilst he was naked in front of our 9 year old son.!
So appalling.! Please reconsider sending family members here if have dementia or are challenging.!

I am very happy with Isle Court. My Mum has lived there for 3 months and her health has improved so much. I haven't seen my Mum look so well in years. The food is amazing, all home cooked. The staff are very caring and do a wonderful job. They know every resident very well. They know their likes and
dislikes. The doctor calls in every Wednesday. I always had such trouble getting an appointment at the doctors. And now it's so much easier.
I highly recommend Isle Court.

I am glad that my mum came here. She has been looked after well. However, I have found it very difficult to contact my mum by phone as I live 4 hours away from the home. My sister who is nearby, is able to visit. Surely it must be possible to have a phone or laptop that residents can use to contact
those members of their family who are far away from the home. Very disappointing.

Westbury Nursing Home & Westbury Garden Suite

My relative says she is 90% satisfied with this nursing home. Last Autumn, this nursing home was bought by Welford Healthcare in a convoluted financial acquisition, which raises alarm bells with me, as a web search is not very flattering. That said....my relative is happy and says the home is probably
just like most others. It is spotlessly clean and pleasant. The staff are its best asset and clearly do their best. So I could recommend it.
