From the front door all the way through the home is caring and smiling people. A smile helps when you are having a hard time with your loved one. I have seen great respect for my mother ,my father and myself from all staff. People who stop their work to check if carers are ok and others help my mum to settle in. Clean and tidy rooms and clothes cleaning very good and kind people who work there. Offered advice about name labels and gave me a leaflet when we looked around ,extremely helpful.

My Mum had 8 days respite in Fairview and enjoyed every minute.
All the staff were lovely and the care given was excellent.

Family and friends who visited were very impressed and should Mum go in for permanent care Fairview would be our first choice

Fairview has become the home of a very dear friend. After she was in 2 previous care homes that she wasn't happy in, she is now much happier, and calls it home. All staff, carers, nurses, cooks, management have been so welcoming and always help and accommodate to her needs. It is a lovely welcoming home, and I am always remembered by my name too by the staff.

Mum has been a resident at Fairview for 18 months & I can honestly say it is the most settled I have ever seen her. After many years suffering with mental health issues and severe anxiety, home carers, assisted living and residential care, it became apparent that mum needed more specialised care.

The manager and staff at Fairview have the skills and knowledge to deal with mum and have taken the time to get to know her and understand the things that trigger her anxiety. It has given me peace of mind knowing that she is being well looked after. The home is well maintained with a lovely garden for residents to enjoy, there are a good range of activities and residents are encouraged to join in, mum especially enjoys the singers and the team ball games. As a family we are always welcomed and kept informed of any changes occurring ( there is building work currently going on but we have been kept well informed) All the staff work really hard, they are fantastic.

My brother has dementia and parkinsons disease and is no longer safe to live alone. He has only been at Fair View for 3 weeks, and the change in him is noticeable. He is less withdrawn, is more relaxed and smiles more. The staff are kind and can't do enough for him. Best of all, the staff look happy in their work.

The carers, nurses and manager were extremely caring and compassionate. All were friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for me. Such friendly staff which helped make my stay more bearable. Both male and female staff treated me with respect.
My room was spotlessly clean as was the bedding.
My overall care was exceptional thanks to the dedicated staff.

I'd like to pass on my thanks and gratitude to the dedicated staff.

We cannot speak highly enough of Fairview Court and the incredible care our family received there.
My dad was on Lavender Ward for three years, and throughout that time the staff were consistently amazing. The management team, led by Pyela, was highly professional, compassionate, and supportive, and this ethos clearly flowed through the entire Lavender Ward team.
A very special mention must go to Melanie and Gemma, who were with my dad at the very end of his life. They cared for him with such dignity, respect, and genuine love. The whole team laughed and smiled with him every day and looked after him to the very highest standards.

Fairview Court is a happy, friendly, and positive place. Every single member of staff-shows genuine care, compassion and professionalism toward every resident. You never want your parents to need a care home, but we truly feel blessed to have found Fairview Court.

My mum stayed at Fairview from June to October when sadly she passed away. The care she received throughout her short stay in Lavender was outstanding, her end of life care was compassionate and dignified to the end.

The staff are amazing, we were always greeted by name, and with a smile, day or night and nothing was ever too much trouble for anyone. They really are a credit to the home, thank you guys, we genuinely appreciate everything you did for mum xx

My wife was discharged from hospital into palliative care, having been given only a few months to live. Her mobility was seriously impaired by her condition and she was suffering pain and a lack of appetite.
We looked at several care homes. At Fairview we were initially a bit disappointed with the room offered but were very impressed by the friendly staff and the cheerful atmosphere. It felt like a community.
Having looked at other homes we went back to Fairview to discuss rooms. This time there was a better choice. We chose one and were helped and encouraged to make it a home from home.
At least one of us visited every day. We always found a friendly welcome.
The staff are special: genuinely caring, friendly and adaptable and bonded with my wife and family. They all worked hard to be kind and gentle and control her pain: to make her feel at home.

If you are looking for somewhere for your loved one have a good look at Fairview and talk to the lovely staff.

Fairview Court has a welcoming and homely feel. All the staff are brilliant. It is very clean and the facilities and food are excellent. Mum became a resident at the end of August having had a bad experience at her previous care home.

The staff are kind, caring, patient and very welcoming to the residents and their families. Nothing is too much trouble and we are kept informed about mum's health and any concerns. Mum settled really quickly and we are secure in the knowledge that mum is safe, well looked after and receiving an excellent standard of care and support. At mum's previous home, she was actively discouraged from attempting to walk. Mum found this frustrating and upsetting. Since moving here mum is once again mobile and supported by the staff, who enable her to move freely around the home and has also been receiving physiotherapy. My family feel this is absolutely the best place for mum to be. We can't thank the staff enough for how they look after and care for her.

Our father initially came into Fairview Court for respite in March 2024. This is something which my sister and I both felt very anxious and unsure of our father settling in a care home environment. On our day of arrival, we were welcomed and greeted by a fantastic home manager and team who took their time with us. Our father is now a permanent resident and is settling in well. Every team member at Fairview Court is kind, caring and compassionate. Making sure our father's needs are met. As we now feel we are part of the Fairview Court Family.

My mother-in-law is 97 years old. She went in for the first time for a week's respite. She was very frightened and had been diagnosed with vascular dementia about two months ago. She had a visitor every day. When we went to pick her up a week later she said the staff were all lovely and couldn't do enough for her. After a few days, she got used to the routine and she said she wouldn't mind going back if required. I cannot praise all the staff there who helped her settle in.

My sister was admitted to Fairview Court on 2nd of August 2024. I had been to look at the home a couple of days earlier. My own impression of the home was really positive and when my sister arrived she was overwhelmed with the kindness of all staff and the high standard of everything in her room. She is very happy there and never fails to tell me how well she is being treated. Her partner visits her each day and is always treated with hospitality and kindness. All staff are caring and helpful and the manager always responds promptly to any questions or concerns. Excellent place. Thank you for all that is being done for my sister.

Our mum only lasted one night and was sent by ambulance to an unknown hospital. No chance to even get settled. Don't let your loved one stay here if they have vascular dementia as it seems they are unable to cope with this type of illness. There is hardly anyone around from 6 pm so expect to wait ages for anyone to answer the door if you are visiting.

Reply from Pyela Mwale, Home Manager at Fairview Court Care Home

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry that we did not have the opportunity to care for your mum for longer than the 24 hours. We had to do what was best for her as she was medically unwell hence why we called the ambulance. The medical staff also agreed with us that she needed to go back...

Mum came to Fairview Court in January, initially for respite care. She settled in very well and decided she would like to become a permanent resident there. Without exception, the staff are so caring, friendly and very good at getting to know everyone as an individual so that they can tailor their care accordingly. Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere there, it's a pleasure to visit and when I leave I know I have left mum in very capable hands. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fairview to anyone who needs residential care.
