Our mum only lasted one night and was sent by ambulance to an unknown hospital. No chance to even get settled. Don't let your loved one stay here if they have vascular dementia as it seems they are unable to cope with this type of illness. There is hardly anyone around from 6 pm so expect to wait ages for anyone to answer the door if you are visiting.

Reply from Pyela Mwale, Home Manager at Fairview Court Care Home

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry that we did not have the opportunity to care for your mum for longer than the 24 hours. We had to do what was best for her as she was medically unwell hence why we called the ambulance. The medical staff also agreed with us that she needed to go back...

The home is like a real home, the food is good, very clean and tidy. Carers and nurses are exceptional.

The care and support given to my father in his final months was above and beyond. Every time one of the nurses or carers went into his room his face would light up. They made sure he knew who was there by being close to him and holding his hand, talking to him in a gentle voice so as not to frighten him. Couldn't have asked for more.

Having never used this kind of service before, but following knee surgery by a friend, it was with some trepidation that I arrived. My arrival was so welcoming. people welcoming and looked after me.
I had my bags unpacked and met some of the staff.
Every aspect of my care was done with professionalism and friendliness, I thought I might have found the personal care embarrassing but everything was handled professionally and I felt totally at ease.
The food was lovely and all the staff were so friendly and helpful, when I left the night staff stopped by to say goodbye. It was a home-from-home.
Please extend my thanks to everyone concerned with my care.
I cannot recommend your home more highly enough.

Thank you very much.

The palliative care and compassion my auntie received in the very last stages of her life were second to none. I couldn't have wished for her to have been anywhere else. Everyone involved at a very difficult time were excellent. We couldn't be there as much as we would have liked but always knew she was in the safest hands. I would never fail to recommend the care home to anyone.

Thank you so very much.

Excellent and caring staff. My aunt received palliative care her whole stay at Fairview Court, enabling her to spend the last few months in a lovely, caring environment. Cannot. fault. Would highly recommend it. From stepping in on the first day, we were always greeted by friendly staff. Always clean and fresh.

Wasn’t sure about Nan going into care, but seeing the love and care they gave her the first time I went was so reassuring, always welcomed the family any time of the day or night, and nothing was too much trouble.

I would have no hesitation in recommending here to anyone! Thank you so much; the whole family would say the same! All the carers, nurses and owners really did care!

From the minute I stepped into Fairview - I knew that this would be the place where we would place my mum in her final weeks. The manager was very warm and welcoming and the reassurance relating to the care Mum would receive was outstanding. They definitely did not disappoint.
The care was outstanding and nothing and I mean nothing was too much trouble, they went above and beyond to ensure Mum's needs were met and they did so with such care and compassion. This allowed us as a family to spend quality time with Mum instead of worrying and being her carers, and this was vital for us in Mum's last days.

I would thoroughly recommend anyone who is looking to place a loved one to consider this place as they were nothing short of amazing in every way.

After 6 years of looking after mum due to her dementia, due to safety reasons, I had to take one of the hardest decisions I have ever made. It was time to take mum to a care home. Fairview Court was really kind and understood mum and needs and my need to see mum in a safe enviroment with good and kind people. I was very reluctant to get mum in a care home, but the manager, seniors and carers have been amazing and so kind and professional that I don't have words to express my gratitude for being so good with mum and trying their best to understand and help her. Little by little, mum is settling, and I am a lot calmer knowing that she will be in safe hands. Thanks so much for your help and support.

My grandmother arrived at Fairview Court in February and received exceptional care throughout her stay. The staff demonstrated unwavering professionalism, genuine compassion, and a true commitment to her well-being. Knowing that my grandmother was in such capable hands brought immense peace of mind to our family.
The cleanliness of the nursing home was always very good and it was evident that the staff took great pride in maintaining the environment for the residents. The kitchen staff also deserve recognition for their varied and tasty menu.

I must highlight the outstanding support provided by the team generally and particularly by the home manager. Her communication and helpful demeanour played a crucial role in choosing Fairview Court for my grandmother, and she was always readily available to address any questions or concerns we had.

Excellent care for both mental and physical well-being. The management and staff are amazing, so friendly, welcoming and kind. The staff genuinely love their job and really do care about the residents. They have so much compassion and while always professional, they also have a personal touch with residents and family. I would highly recommend this home for anyone with dementia as Fairview Court is able to provide the level of care required.

I was very impressed by the excellent management, professionalism, compassion and care my mother received at Fairview Court. The environment is bright and cheerful and the staff were always happy to discuss what my mother had been doing since my last visit. We have two family members at Fairview, both have had exceptional care, and they have supported the whole family. The home-delivered activities of their life-long hobbies ie, flower arranging, Scottish country dancing. The staff are very patient and kind even with challenging behaviour. Music was the only way to calm my grandmother down, so they would sing to comfort her. We were very impressed with how the home has dealt with Covid. They initially acted quickly to protect all residents and continue to adopt impressive precautions, which don’t affect the level of care.

It is the end-of-life care for my grandmother, which really blew us away. The home supported us to have plenty of precious time with her before she passed and talked us through everything with great compassion. When we couldn’t be with her, they made sure she was never on her own, sang and chatted to her. Knowing she got this loving care is of great comfort to us. They are able to see the real person behind the Dementia.

My mother has always been treated with dignity and respect. I have built up a rapport with staff and I am always made to feel welcome.
I can tell that there is a genuine desire from staff to make residents' lives enjoyable. I have never had a need to complain, and during this difficult time staff are going the extra mile to provide care. My mum really enjoys the video chats which brighten her day. All the team pull together and I would like to thank them all. Special thanks to the senior carer, who always brings a smile to my face with our banter!

Keep up the good work.

My mum moved into Fairview Court in January 2020. I was immediately impressed by the staff and the quality of the facilities; more like a hotel. After seeing Mum regularly, lockdown came as a blow but entirely justified by the absence of COVID getting into the home.

The intervening months have been tough for everyone and sadly Mum doesn’t really understand what is going on in the outside world. Hopefully, the situation will start to improve soon and visiting can resume, but in the meantime, I am comforted and reassured by the care Mum is getting and I can’t thank everybody at Fairview Court enough. I would recommend the home to anyone.

Mum arrived at Fairview Court in July after having several falls at home and a long hospital stay, unfortunately, she was very confused and suffering from delirium; Mum also has Alzheimer’s.
As a family, we were very apprehensive and worried about Mum going into a home especially as it meant being separated from Dad.
All this was going on during the midst of Covid too which added even more pressure as obviously visiting has been very difficult, however, all the care staff, nurses and management team have been extremely helpful and sympathetic to our needs.
Fairview Court have kept us updated and inform us of Mum's daily activities, needs and request. We have daily contact with Mum via video calls and she seems to have settled in well and always looks clean and tidy.

We are looking forward to being able to visit Mum inside the home when obviously the Covid restrictions are lifted. In the meantime, we can’t thank Fairview Court enough.

My mum moved to Fairview in February 2020, she has Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia. She has settled in very well. The staff team are welcoming, warm and friendly. The home is always spotless. The staff are amazing with my mum and tune into her sense of fun, they are warm, caring and affectionate to her which is so important during this difficult time with Covid 19 restrictions in place.
The manager has worked tirelessly during the pandemic to keep in contact with relatives to ensure residents are kept safe, balancing their needs against risks.

We can’t thank the staff enough for all their continued commitment and caring approach.
