Comfort, support and wellbeing are central to life at Hamble Heights. Its reputation is built on exceptional standards of care, so residents and their families know that they are in the safest hands.

Hamble Heights provides the highest levels of 24-hour, personalised elderly care available; including dementia, nursing and residential care. The care home team provides the best care and support, as well as companionship and empathy. The team are all focused on helping residents to thrive and enjoy each day. An in-house Wellbeing team support residents to enjoy a range of events and activities, to keep them entertained and offer them the chance to socialise, either one to one or within a group setting.

Hamble Heights’ Wellbeing Team has been recognised for its creativity, enthusiasm and dedication in bringing smiles to residents' faces every day. It was the winner of the regional award for Best Activities Coordinator in The Great British Care Awards (January 2016), and two-time winner for Evidence of Outstanding Activities in the Ladder to the Moon Awards (September 2016, 2017).

The modern and purpose-built home was designed to put residents’ needs first. For example, all rooms are extra-large, private and have an en-suite wet-room. The communal spaces are all furnished to a high standard. The emphasis is on comfort, to make it feel like a home from home. Hamble Heights offers a great community feel with comfortable lounges, bistro dining rooms, a bar, and even a hair salon. The home's professional chefs ensure appealing, varied, healthy and nutritious meals are offered, with resident's encourage to request their favourites and asked for feedback.

The residents’ rooms are fully furnished and kept spotlessly clean, and there is plenty of space to personalise the room if residents wish to bring their own furniture, pictures or ornaments.

My Nan recently moved into Hamble Heights and the experience has been wonderful from the very beginning. From our first contact with Rachel and Alice, through to Nan settling in, everyone has been warm, kind and incredibly supportive. Any questions we have had have been answered quickly and openly,
making the whole process feel reassuring and well managed.
A special mention goes to Meenu, who always greets residents and families with a smile and treats everyone with genuine dignity, kindness and respect. Yvonne, the Activities Coordinator, brings such positivity and joy to the home and is clearly passionate about enriching residents' lives.
Moving a loved one into care is never an easy decision, but the team at Hamble Heights have given our family real peace of mind. We are so grateful for the care, compassion and support they have shown Nan and our family.

Visited my brother's wife, and her home is beautiful. Everyone's so friendly, they made me tea and gave me biscuits, and even ice cream because it was super hot. They had a singer during lunch, great vibe and atmosphere. I even stayed longer than I planned, it just felt nice there. Well done Hamble,
I'll be visiting more often .

Prior to our father's admission to Hamble Heights, the manager visited him in hospital to meet him and also to speak to the nursing staff on the ward to assess his medical needs.
My sister and myself also visited Hamble Heights. We were shown the bedroom ensuite that our father would be staying in.
The residents' lounge, dining area and kitchen for that floor. It was explained that there was 24 hour access to visit, and when visiting, we could make ourselves a hot drink anytime.
Our father's stay at Hamble Heights was from September to December 2025. He very much liked the room that he was staying in. It had a large window and he could easily see outside. He was bedbound and receiving end-of-life care. He had a ripple mattress and was turned approximately every 2 hours, and in between these times, he was checked by a member of the care staff. His medical and care needs were very well taken care of by the nursing and care staff and visiting members of the local GP practice.
The cleaning staff came into his room every day and everywhere was kept very clean and tidy. The laundry staff delivered his laundered items back to his room. There were food choices on the menu that covered the needs of all the residents. It was good to see the manager walking about and doing regular checks, and maintenance was always readily available if required.
My sister and myself were always made to feel very welcome. The atmosphere was of a bright, friendly, happy and caring home.
We thoroughly recommend.

We selected Hamble Heights on the reviews and a personal visit. I must say we were impressed from the start.
We were greeted upon our arrival and shown around. You could just sense, that this nursing home really did care for their residents and went the extra mile. All of the staff, not just the carers,
go above and beyond, they were in fact exceptional.
Our mother was there for just under eight weeks and was looked after so well. When our mother passed, that staff came in and paid their respects and were genuinely upset.
No one wants to see their love one pass, but when it has to happen, Hamble Heights is the nursing home to take care of them.
They really are exceptional.

My dad was admitted to Hamble Heights at the end of January 2025, with a life expectancy of 6 - 8 weeks, due to the care and support he received from the staff he exceeded that timeline by 12 months.
On my first initial visit to the service Rachel answered all my questions and concerns with honesty
and compassion, when shown around the service everyone was kind, caring and welcoming.
Sadly on 1st March, dad passed away, and the care and attention dad received from all staff the evening before and during that day, was outstanding and of immense comfort to me and my brother. We had left dad so he could get some rest but when things took a turn for the worse, the nurse called us to return immediately, on our arrival back at the home we were taken aback to see dad surrounded by the nurses and carers, until we'd got there. That image will remain with me until the end.
We cannot even begin to thank all the staff of Hamble Heights for their care and compassion throughout dad's stay. THANK YOU

My partner came to Hamble Heights in December 2025. From the moment we arrived it felt homely. All the staff are caring, considerate and considerate to the residents and visitors. I can't thank Hamble Heights staff enough for the care they give my partner. I also would like to thank the management and
administration staff for their hands on involvement in my partners wellbeing.

My mother was only a resident for a short time but during her stay at Hamble Heights i was impressed by the manager and her senior team who were most helpful and approachable at all times. The activity team worked really hard to include all residents with a diverse range of things to do. The nursing
staff were excellent. Food was generally of a high standard.
I would recommend this care home to anyone looking for a pleasant, secure environment for their loved one.

My mother was at Hamble Heights for 2 years and except for when she first went enjoyed her time there . She took time to settle but once she did she made friends and enjoyed taking part in all the activities .
She became ill about six weeks before she passed away. The care shown to her and us as her
family was exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble.
I don't live in the area and the staff have been so supportive and helpful. I would definitely recommend Hamble Heights as a caring community who keep the residents safe, cared for and stimulated by the activities.

Although Dads time at Hamble Heights was relatively short the memories our families have taken away are happy ones with much of this being down to the high level of care the home and especially the staff provided, cannot praise them up enough.
We liked the way the home was set up, the staff always
made us feel welcome, they treated dad as if he was one of there own, we really couldn't have asked more from them.
Thank you so much.

Both of my grandparents are residents of Hamble Height and I can't thank Hamble Heights enough for the continuing high standard of care they provide both of them. They are always accommodating to their needs and treat them with the utmost kindness and respect.
For my gran's birthday, Hamble Heights
went out of their way to make my gran's birthday a special experience, particularly two staff members in particular. They decorated their private dining area for her and the family, prepared menus and table settings to make it feel as if we were at a restaurant and Sandy even baked a cake for my gran. Although my gran has advanced dementia, it was clear she enjoyed the experience, as did my grandad and the rest of the family. One staff member in particular also assisted my grandad in selecting and coordinating a birthday card and gift, which pleased him greatly.
Thank you so much to the manager and the team for the wonderful support they provide!

My husband was in the hospital, he was dying and needed good care. I remembered seeing Hamble Heights Care Home when a friend was in there, so I asked for that. I was so pleased to be able to find a room there, and my husband was looked after so well. He died peacefully this week and was looked after
so well until the end.

Having lived independently and aged 90 I was worried when my beloved mother, through sudden illness, could no longer care for herself and required 24/7 nursing care.
The Care Home is managed by the capable and enthusiastic Manager who is supported by Business Development Manager, who welcomes us each
morning and a Clinical Lead. Each individually professional but who together create an awesome and formidable team where the residents care is the priority.
The room is cosy and kept scrupulously clean. The meals are freshly cooked.
There are no sad faces just a happy dedicated team of nursing staff and a care support team who genuinely love their residents and their work.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.849)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.849) out of 10 for Hamble Heights Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 22 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.849 for Hamble Heights Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (224 Excellents x 5) + (29 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 258 Ratings = 4.849
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Hamble Heights Care Home is based on 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12, which has been reached with 22 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
