We are so pleased that my dad has been lucky enough to move in to Stretton Hall. Since moving in my dad's health has been well managed and he has been supported navigating his eating difficulties. He has grown in confidence and become more independent.

All of the staff are kind to my dad and to me, they are all well informed and proactive in finding solutions when necessary. Communication has been fantastic, me and my dad are kept well up to date.

I feel like I am able to finally relax because I know my dad is safe and well cared for, he is treated as an individual and his differences are respected.

I am delighted and comforted by the care and affection my father receives in the beautiful surroundings of Stretton Hall. The nursing and care teams are kind and diligent and have a genuine relationship with my father which he values very highly. He is treated with dignity and respect and is blossoming in confidence in managing his own mobility, walking short distances unaided where previously he needed support. The hall itself is a beautiful period house which is characterful and comfortable in tree-lined, pretty gardens. The atmosphere is calm and happy. Rachel and Leanne are extremely responsive in person and via telephone and show great awareness of Dad's condition and attitude on a daily basis. The activities led by Charmaine are creative and enjoyable bringing all residents together regardless of age or aptitude. The food is excellent and lunchtime meals are served socially in a dining room at tables laid with linen, china and cutlery giving a sense of specialness to each day.

Thank you so much, Jo, for taking the time to share such a lovely review. Your father is an absolute pleasure to have with us. He has settled into Stretton wonderfully and has really embraced community life, getting involved in activities like gardening and choir. We're delighted to hear that you're happy with the care and support he is receiving. I will gladly pass this review onto the team.

I was deeply disappointed by this facility. Mum went in for a respite stay of two weeks with the intention of moving in permanently if all went well. It did not. There was a catalogue of failings which I reported to the CQC and to the company's management. Please, look elsewhere for care for your loved one. I can only stress that this home is not what we were promised by the Manager, Rachel. The carers are kind, but far too few to keep the residents safe. My Mum spent a month in hospital following a fall which should never have been allowed to happen. I also know of another long-term resident who moved out after the change of ownership resulted in care failings. I'm pleased to say, Mum has now been happily settled for six months in another home which has far higher standards in every way. Stretton Hall is expensive, but please believe me you will not be getting what you would want for your loved one.

We are extremely happy with the care that our relative receives. Our meetings with Rachel have been excellent and all the staff are great. The family's issues are with our relatives LPAs who probably make life much more difficult for our relative and the staff than it need be.

For visitors to Stretton Hall it is like entering a welcoming high class hotel. There is a cheerful, happy atmosphere wherever you go. My brother is really cared for and the staff understand his foibles, managing them with good humour. Management oversees optimum standards of housekeeping and nursing care. Thoughtful extra touches include a bowl of fresh fruit in the corridor for everyone. Photos of inhabitants enjoying activities, jog their memories to share with you. Staff although busy talk to you and your relative. I'm very appreciative of the care given to my brother who is not only looked after physically but is able to live not just exist. Thank you.

Everytime we come it feels like home the staff is always kind and lovely can't do enough for you someone is always at reception if you need to give a message to of there carer/nurse.
My family member has repeatedly said she had to wait over a hour till someone comes when she has pressed her bell we have explained this that the home is big and they will come when they can.

Thankyou for everything

I echo previous feedback in that i/we are always happy with Stretton hall. The staff really do offer so much kindness and care, and my mum loves each and everyone of them. It has been a tough year for us as a family with the loss of my dad [Dec 2024] who was also a resident at Stretton hall [and my sister/their daughter in Sept 2024] but the staff have been so compassionate and without them, given that i live some 185 miles away, i don't know how i would have coped.

All the staff work extremely hard and it s is noticeable that the amount of staff on the floors seems to have decreased since the new company took on the management - i hope this is something that will be recognised and addressed.

The staff always have time for us, and the home itself is a very homely place to be, the entertainment is brilliant too, we always say if we were going to end up in a care home - Stretton hall is the place to be. Keep doing what you are doing, but please get more staff :)

The most adorable kind staff in the kingdom. It is the second time my civil partner has had respite there and I trust them fully. The manager and staff are exceptional in their daily duties, always there for you when you are in distress
In my book Stretton Hall Nursing home has all the facilities one could ask for. Lovely ensuite rooms , beautiful gardens, lovely food, caring staff . Absolutely spotless to the core and a wonderful security system as well.
Residents who are able to have mini trips, newspapers for those who have vouchers or pay for them . Even if little treats are required . Exceptional in my book . I would entrust them to have his full care permanently if need be.
I cannot say that about one other nursing home.

Carry on doing a grand job all of you and deep sincere thanks from us both. I will certainly make the hall my first port of call anytime.

We found the home very welcoming and the staff always had time for us, making us cups of tea or coffee on arrival to visit my auntie who was made comfortable and was well looked after for the short time she was in the home, a very homely place to be and always some sort of entertainment going on to stimulate the elderly residents if they want to join in.

We as a family were incredibly happy with Stretton hall. The staff really display the up most professionalism, kindness and care. Bring honest in this review, the only issue we spotted were that the amount of staff seemed to decrease since the new company took on the management. All the staff deserve praise and appeared to work even harder to make up for when they were short. I hope their wage reflects their value. Thank you so much.

Stretton Hall is a care home run wholly for its residents not for any other reason, its speed of recovery after the flood is a testament to the dedication of the staff. All in all, I would recommend it to all who require compassionate care for a relative.

I was most impressed with the care my late husband received at Stetton Hall recently. He had excellent care and was treated with respect and dignity. At the end of his life, I was able to be with him and I was also treated with the same respect and dignity. We couldn't have chosen a better nursing home!

My mother in law was unable to walk or stand due to a urine tract infection. I didn't think hospital was the place for her, felt she needed some tender loving care. It was quite stressful knowing what to do for the best. Rang up Stretton Hall and spoke to the amazing manager. They agreed to accept her as an emergency admission. We are so grateful. She is up and about and on her feet again. Everyone has been fantastic. Thank you.

Stretton Hall cared and looked after my sister for approximately eleven months. The help and support she received was second to none. We could not have wished for a better place for my dear relative of 94 years to have spent his last days. From beginning to end, everything went smoothly and efficiently. The room was spacious, warm, clean and comfortable with an outlook onto trees and a garden. We cannot praise and thank the staff enough for their endearing smiles, kindness and compassion they showed to our relatives and to family and friends who visited.

The whole experience of having my mother and father-in-law in Stretton Hall has been a positive one. The staff at Stretton Hall cannot do enough for them. It's obviously a logistical challenge when you are presented with 2 elderly people within a few months who both require nursing care and who would like to have rooms near each other. But they really pulled out all the stops for them so they could have rooms almost adjacent. They even offered to turn one room into a shared bedroom and the other a living room. The staff are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The facilities are excellent, more like a hotel than a care home. The previous care home in Ludlow was very sterile and not homely, whereas Stretton Hall has a lovely feel about it.

Special mention to the staff members who we have had cause to deal with regularly but in reality all of the staff and the entertainment that Stretton Hall brings in from outside are awesome. Thanks for taking great care of them.
