Stretton Hall Nursing Home

My aunt only spent six weeks in the home, but everyone has been so kind and caring. My sisters and I have been very happy with the care she has received.

All-round wonderful team, and a happy place to be a part of.

My partner was diagnosed with terminal cancer in Spring 2021. As she neared the end of her life, it was not possible for her to remain at home, and she moved to Stretton Hall to receive palliative end of life care. I cannot convey what a relief it was, both for her and the family, for her to be put somewhere so beautiful for the last months of her life. Wonderful setting and a garden-style room, which was very important to her as she was immobile but loved nature. She was able to watch the season changing one last time and delighted in the comings and goings of the birds and animals. The staff were beyond supportive and compassionate and spent much time with her when she was strong enough to chat and laugh. The last months and end of her life were peaceful, dignified and pain managed, and this is wholly because of the wonderful care at Stretton Hall. Thank you, always.

Our mother was a resident at Stretton Hall for nearly 5-years; as time went on and her Alzheimer’s became more challenging, the staff were always professional but caring and compassionate. The family were always kept informed, and we were able to visit regularly, the staff always welcoming. Stretton Hall is a beautiful building, clean and well maintained, beautiful gardens. Mum passing in July 2021 at 102, and I feel she had the best care from all the wonderful staff and can’t thank them enough.

Mum passed away in July, and the care she received was second to none. She was treated with respect, dignity and compassion at all times. I would have no hesitation in recommending Stretton Hall to anyone looking for first-class care.

Such a happy home. Beautiful building, well-kept gardens, delightful staff, and a caring environment. It is always a pleasure to pull up outside Stretton Hall; there is an atmosphere of calm, of interest, of attention to detail, and mostly, being one big family.

She received excellent care and understanding at Stretton Hall. We feel all her needs are met thanks to all the hard-working staff. We couldn't wish for a better place for her respite. She looks forward to coming to every visit and comes home in a happy mood and can't wait to tell us all about her stay. All her personal hygiene and support needs are met. We would highly recommend Stretton Hall.

I still cannot thank the group and Stretton Hall enough for their care of looking after mother. Now I am visiting more times each week since opening back up, Mum is looking amazing. She is so happy. She loves all the staff. They work really hard taking good care of Mum; they will sit with her until she has eaten all foods and drinks; they have and spent time with Mum. Only for these lovely staff, I am sure Mum would not be with us today. They are very caring and absolutely fantastic staff. Highly recommend Stretton Hall. Thank you all so much.

We were welcomed in at short notice with end of life care, the staff are professional and friendly. Especially one member of staff whose caring and welcoming professionalism made the family feel at ease. We didn’t see much of the facility’s however the care towards my mother was of a high standard, they were open and honest with all of the family and answer any questions we had. Thank you to all the staff that made a difficult time bearable.

The home has worked very hard over this difficult period to keep me in touch with my mother with Zoom meetings, garden visits, pod visits and at last, visits in person. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Dignity was ever-present.

Since my husband has been at Stretton Hall, he has received excellent care from a team of dedicated, patient and caring staff.

It is impossible to write a fully informed review as the pandemic restrictions prevent access and my wife is unable to communicate clearly. I can only mark ratings using impressions I have formed from helpful and considerate conversations with staff members.

My husband has been a resident at Stretton Hall for nearly five years. His dementia has become increasingly worse, but the care and patience of all the staff have been constant despite his sometimes uncooperative behaviour. All his needs are taken care of with sympathy. He appears to be happy and settled which is a comfort to me.

My mother is very well supported by the staff and care at Stretton Hall. She has had little ability to communicate and her needs over the past year but is always well cared for and appears very settled. Has taken much of the anxiety of making visits away.

I find the place Stretton Hall very caring and helpful. You are well informed about everything that goes on. My husband is kept nice and clean and seems happy most of the time. Everyone does their best to keep the residents safe and happy.

I would definitely recommend Stretton Hall to anyone wishing a relative to be cared for with no worries here.
