Churchill House Care Home

The staff were caring, helpful and sympathetic. The public spaces were very clean and tidy. But the attention to general cleaning in the rooms was not as good as I would hope, but the private toilet/bathroom was very good. I felt the distribution of laundry to the rooms was a bit chaotic. The activities were very good, excellent sometimes and perhaps a bit boring at other times. The atmosphere in some parts of the home felt a bit institutional arising from the lack of carpets and general noise and constant sound of bells. Overall my mother had a good experience and was happy.

I've just visited my Mum & Dad and I was at the home for many hours over the weekend as I do not live locally. All the staff were so lovely, very friendly, always smiling, very accommodating, and the food was delicious, which meant we all enjoyed a wonderful time together. I can see that they are getting the care they need, and are happy there, so thank you x

Mum has been in Churchill House 3 years and settled quickly. Her medical needs were met immediately as we were really listened to as a family. She often expressed how happy she is at the home and her level of care is outstanding

Mom was accepted by Churchill care home in June. She is on end of life care. She has her own room and we can visit any time. She is lovingly looked after by everyone. The care home is always busy with entertainment on regularly and staff are always available and happy to answer any questions we may have. Thank you all

From the moment my dad was admitted the staff treated him with respect and kindness and very quickly we felt a part of the Churchill family. I can not praise them enough for the care and dedication they have shown my dad and the rest of our family and have made a very difficult situation as painless as possible. Many many thanks to everyone.

I felt that my sister was in a good place, she was cared for and she and our family liked & appreciated the staff in the home. She liked the team, we were impressed by the speed with which they put up her pictures and made it homely.

Churchill House is very good. My husband is cared for very well, he's been in there for 2 years now. All of the staff are very friendly, and check on my husband often, encouraging him to drink more, and bring or change food if he'd like something different. There's a happy atmosphere in there and the staff seem to get on very well together. I always recommend it to other people.

On every visit we are always made welcome thanks to the friendly staff. We find our relation always happy with nothing being a problem. Very comfortable room.

When we got to see our friend its always lovely & warm. It always clean & tidy. The staff are always very friendly & polite, overall I would give ti 1/10. Very good.

My husband was in Churchill House, Ludlow for nearly five years. Although he was suffering from dementia he was very happy and contented. My family and myself were very happy knowing he was being cared for excellently. He passed away peacefully and was treated with dignity. Thank you Churchill House.

Most nurses very pleasant, helpful and understanding. Felt very much like home from home. Always welcomed with a smile when visiting. Also we could visit at any time.

We can't fault the care provided to our father by the staff during his stay at Churchill House. He was made to feel welcome and comfortable, as were his family, right from the start. All the staff showed genuine care and consideration towards him and attended to all his wishes and needs with utmost respect and kindness. We can't thank them enough.

On Wednesday 16th July, the residents were treated to an absolutely amazing afternoon tea, presented in a way you would expect in a 5 star hotel. Enjoyed by all... Prepared by very talented staff. My father receives care I could only of dreamed of for him. All the staff treat everyone with kindness, compassion & respect they deserve. They all go the extra mile. Thank you.

My father moved into Churchill House after a stay in hospital, and we could not be more pleased with how much the staff tried to help him settle in and feel comfortable in the environment. Any concerns we had were quickly addressed, and communication was excellent. We always found Churchill to be a cheerful place, and staff always attentive and respectful towards residents. Any medical attention needed was always provided promptly from Dad's own GP surgery. The range of activities was great, Dad joined in when he could, and we always saw residents enjoying themselves whenever we visited. In my opinion we could not have asked for better care for Dad during his final months, and especially the final days.

We can't thank them enough for the care they showed Dad in making his last weeks as calm and comfortable as they could be, as well as the support they gave us at a difficult time.

We are very happy with the care our father is receiving, the staff are all very professional and caring, the food is very good, with a varied tasty home cooked menu.

My father has just had 2 weeks of excellent care at Churchill House Care Home, went in for respite, was well looked after. Lovely clean room, food was enjoyed and he eat very well, lots of activities to keep residents stimulated. Couldn't fault anything.
