Selina took over the role of Home Manager at Churchill House in October 2025, having previously served as Deputy Manager.
With more than a decade of experience at the home, Selina brings continuity, deep knowledge and a genuine passion for high-quality care.
Selina joined Churchill House in 2011 as a Registered Mental Health Nurse and has progressed through a number of senior roles, developing her leadership skills alongside a strong clinical foundation. Her journey through the organisation has given her a thorough understanding of the home, the residents and the dedicated team who support them.
Throughout her career, Selina has remained committed to delivering person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence and choice. She is particularly passionate about supporting residents’ mental health and wellbeing, dementia care, and creating a warm, inclusive environment where residents feel safe, valued and listened to.
As Home Manager, Selina is focused on maintaining high standards of care, supporting staff development and continuing to enhance the quality of life for everyone who calls Churchill House home.
Bryony is the non-clinical Deputy Manager at Churchill House and has been part of the home’s journey for an impressive 20 years. She began her career with us working part-time as a Kitchen Assistant before progressing into the role of Office Manager and, more recently, stepping up to Deputy Manager.
Highly organised with a keen eye for detail, Bryony helps ensure the home runs smoothly. She is known for her creative approach, strong work ethic and commitment to high standards — qualities that colleagues often joke make her a bit of a “control freak”.
Alongside her career, Bryony studied at university and achieved a BA (Hons) degree in Jewellery and Silversmithing. She continues to develop her leadership skills and is currently studying for a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, reflecting her ongoing commitment to learning and to providing high quality care and support.
Jayne is a Senior Nurse at Churchill House and has a long and special history with the home. She was one of the very first members of staff when Churchill House opened in 1995, starting her career here as a Night Care Assistant.
Driven by her passion for care, Jayne went on to study nursing and qualified as a Registered General Nurse. She then spent over 20 years working within the NHS, gaining a wealth of clinical experience and knowledge across her nursing career. After many years away, Jayne was delighted to return to her roots and rejoin Churchill House, this time as a Senior Nurse.
Jayne is known for her warm, friendly nature and her ability to build strong, trusting relationships with both residents and their families. She loves to chat and believes that taking the time to really get to know people is at the heart of excellent care. Her experience, approachability and genuine kindness make her a hugely valued member of the team.
In addition to her senior nursing role, Jayne is also Churchill House’s dedicated end-of-life Butterfly nurse. In this role, she provides compassionate support to residents and their loved ones during the end of life, helping to ensure comfort, dignity and reassurance at what can be a very emotional time. Jayne’s calm presence and kindness make a meaningful difference to families when they need it most.
