The Care Home is very caring and treat my mother-in-law with respect and care at all times. They always deal with her needs in a timely manner and contact the doctors surgery quickly when she is unwell.

The staff are all very cheerful and welcoming to the family at all times. They contact us on a monthly basis to make sure the family are happy with her care, and also ring when she is unwell. The family are confident that she is in the best place for her.

An excellent retirement home. Management and administration staff are brilliant. The nursing team and care team on days and nights are second to none. Housekeeping and hotel services also excellent. Would not hesitate to recommend The Westbury Care Home.

From the moment my father arrived at The Westbury Care Home, the care has been exemplary. The staff are helpful, cheerful, respectful and communicative and liaise well with his doctor's surgery on his behalf. That was four months ago and my father has gone from strength to strength, has regained his appetite (he loves the food!) and tells us he feels safe and content and is treated with dignity. I have had to rearrange my visiting times in order that he can join in the activities, which is lovely!

My dad came to the care home from the hospital with weeks to live. He was bedbound and needed round-the-clock care with his Parkinsons and heart failure. The staff were friendly and caring with a few exceptions, while he didn't always enjoy the food they did their best for him. We did hope he would be put out in the chair more but that didn't really happen.

Reply from Julie Caygill, Hospital Liaison Team Administrator at The Westbury Care Home

Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. We are sorry you feel your Father did not have more opportunity to sit out in his chair. Having reviewed records and spoken with the team who supported him, it is apparent that although we...

Help and kindness shown in sorting out hospital appointment transport for me and my daughter who accompanies me on day appointments at the hospital. Always a nice welcome back from care home staff on my return from hospital. Would love more contact with staff as I am mainly bedbound due to health condition, and not well enough to attend or enjoy the organised daily social events at the care home. Care home very cosy and clean.

The Westbury Care Home provided excellent care for our mum over the last fifteen months. All the staff were kind and considerate of her needs and also to dad whilst visiting. We can't thank them enough for the sense of reassurance we felt as a family whilst she was in their care.

My dad was a resident at the care home for just over a year. During that time he was treated with care and dignity by all members of staff. His family were always greeted with a friendly and professional approach and were always asked if needed anything, even just to talk. When the time approached my dad received end-of-life care and his wishes were followed when he died. The staff could not have done anything more to help ease any suffering or distress for us and I always felt the care given was like that of an extended family.

All the staff do a first-class job. My daughter is progressing with them despite her deafness. We are pleased that some sign language training has become standard which will help them. This will hopefully help her and anyone with hearing loss she could follow on. Your staff look after her very well. From all the family thank you.

My mum arrived at The Westbury Care Home in November 2020 she was welcomed and settled in well. She loved being in the well-kept garden. All the staff looked after her well and often said what a lovely lady she was. Unfortunately, my mum passed on Monday 20th February.

Just wanted to say thank you for taking care of her.
