My mum is happier at Oldbury Grange than any other facility she's been in. She join in with activities, which she's never done anywhere else. The staff are not only kind to my mum but very thoughtful to the family too.

My mother has been a resident at this care home for some time now, and I honestly can't speak highly enough of the care she receives. From the very beginning, the staff have been kind, patient, and genuinely attentive - not just to my mother's physical needs, but to her emotional wellbeing too.

The

carers treat her with dignity and respect, and it's clear they take the time to really know the residents as individuals. Communication with the family has always been clear and reassuring, which makes such a difference when you're trusting others with someone you love.

The home itself is clean, welcoming, and well run, but it's the people who truly make it special. Knowing my mother is safe, comfortable, and cared for with compassion gives me real peace of mind. I'm extremely grateful to the entire team and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this care home to other families.

My cousin was transferred from hospital to Oldbury Grange for end of life palliative care. He died yesterday, and I would like to thank all the staff who work there for the high standard of care and attention he received. I visited him at least once a day for his stay there, and could have not been
more impressed by how comfortable the staff had made him. It seemed like nothing was too much trouble for the staff to help him out.

I was previously concerned with the care and support and value for money. I am now fully satisfied that both were addressed to my satisfaction following consultation with management and senior nurses. I feel this has established a positive outcome as well as a close relationship with the professionals
providing care to my mum.

My mom was a resident at Oldbury Grange and was looked after impeccably during her time there. My only wish is that she had been there longer, but, sadly, she passed away.
I called in today to see the staff and Jodie, with my friend who isn't happy with the care her in-laws are receiving in a care
home in Wolverhampton. She was delighted to see the beauty of the building and grounds. The sign says pop in for a cuppa, no appointment needed. This speaks volumes. Jodie and several staff members who remembered me made Deb and I very welcome. Hopefully Deb will be able to move her in-laws down there once there's suitable rooms available for them.
I honestly can't rate Oldbury Grange high enough.
Well done Jodie and your team. Your genuine care and compassion is second to none. Thankyou for all you do , you are amazing!

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.932)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.932) out of 10 for Oldbury Grange Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 72 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 72 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.932 for Oldbury Grange Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (798 Excellents x 5) + (50 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 852 Ratings = 4.932
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Oldbury Grange Nursing Home is based on 72 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 69 registered maximum number of service users is 13.8, which has been reached with 72 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
