My dad has recently moved in following a spell in hospital after a decline in his parkinsons and dementia symptoms. We get regular updates from the home and we are warmly welcomed when we visit. My dad is getting involved with the activities and enjoyed a trip to the park which is good for his mental
and physical health. His room is a good size, with garden view and is kept clean and tidy. It is reassuring knowing any dad isn't alone for long periods at home now. I hope he will settle well and be happy here.

Both my parents are in this care home and share a double bedroom. The staff are all very friendly and I can tell by the way my parents relate to them when I visit that they are cared for and treated as individuals with humour and courtesy. The activities are excellent both in their range and adaptations
to all abilities. The food looks varied and of a very good standard. The weight of my mind knowing they are cared for and safe and worth the price.

I highly recommend the staff are not only friendly but genuinely caring, showing real empathy. They have taken the time to get to know my mum as an individual which makes a big difference in the quality of care provided. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and I always feel reassured my mum is in good
hands! The maintenance man even took time to get to know her! Staff go above and beyond thank you all!

I went in for respite care after an operation on my hand for nine days. Since I lived locally Stanshawes was ideal. The home was clean, and staff were very competent and friendly. However, they were short-staffed (I guess that this is a universal problem). Since I like my own company, I did not partake
in any of the activities although I enjoyed chatting to the staff when time allowed. My only adverse comment is that the food could have been better (if it was, I would have given my experience five stars).

Needed to find residential nursing/care home for my husband's needs. His illness had become more
advanced after a few falls. Upon visiting Stanshawes I immediately felt it was clean, comfortable and homely. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I was shown around by member of management staff who
was very helpful and explained all about the home and its care. I knew instinctively that my husband would be happy here. He has now been at the home for over a month, he settled in straight away. He is happy and smiling when we visit and staff are very caring and compassionate with him. He is well looked after. It was very difficult when he left our home I was worried about finding somewhere suitable I miss him terribly. I needn't have worried. Stanshawes is very suitable. Food is good. There is a good programme of activities for residents which is well planned and enjoyable for them. It has a nice garden and seating area outside. I can visit often and it is near our home.

Dad has been at Stanshawes Care Home since April 2024. The standard of care is wonderful and the staff take care to involve the residents in various activities. When we visit they keep us informed of anything related to his day-to-day care.

Finding a suitable home for my dad to live in dignity following a life-changing fall was crucial for his own well being and that of his family, especially my mum who had to come to terms with a life without him being able to live at home.
The care, attention, friendliness and genuine desire to care
for residents speaks volumes about this home.
It is never pleasant to see a relative have to live out their life in the way my dad has to but knowing he will do so with dignity and care is a comfort. We feel lucky he has this chance.

I have had a very positive experience so far since my husband was admitted a few weeks ago. The staff are all very helpful and friendly and the nursing staff keep us informed of all they are doing and trying to achieve. The home and surroundings are clean and well maintained, a very pleasant environment.

Since my Dad has been in Stanshawes Care Home I have seen huge compassion and care from all the staff. I feel he is listened to which I think is so important. I have been on different days and times and his room is always immaculately clean as is the rest of the building. Even though my Dad cannot participate
in many of the activities the lovely lady who runs it includes him so it makes Dad feel needed. As we know different illnesses and disabilities can be challenging for the staff to cope with but they are all amazing and communicate with the residents with patience and understanding and try to make them smile. We as a family are so pleased we chose Stanshaws for my Dad to be looked after and Dad seems happy there. The garden area is well-kept and pretty so the residents can enjoy the view and birds. The food choice is very good so they have a selection of meals. There is always music playing somewhere around the building which is nice. The staff make us as visitors feel welcome and relaxed.

'Client-centred care' to the fore! Individual needs are accommodated even prioritised. Care plan is a 'working document' carefully monitored.
Dad is happy, warm, well-nourished and all medical needs monitored. He has much greater peace of mind and is thriving there. It is the staff who are the 'beating
heart' they put the care into care home.

Staff are trained and keen to assist with daily patient needs. The maintenance of all equipment is programmed for repairs or replacement as soon as possible. The care staff are friendly and helpful resolving patient requests. The kitchen staff are always eager to offer alternative food choices when

The high point of my residency is the excellent care by the nursing staff, partially the exemplary medical care. I have experienced the high care of senior patients, which is of particular note.

Every member of staff and management I have met/been involved have been so friendly, helpful and caring. Nothing seems too much trouble, staff are always available/close by and if they cannot help with an enquiry have immediately sought someone who could. They give such attention to care and keep our
daughter involved at all stages by talking to her directly and not at or over her. Our daughter is noticeably happier and well cared for. Brilliant!

I have nothing but praise for the staff and management of this home. It is clean and smells very fresh on every visit (and I attend daily). The staff are professional at all times, caring and friendly. They are attentive at all times and keep me fully informed of the current and ongoing care plan for
my mother. The staff interact with the residents and family members. They are empathetic and sympathetic and give me confidence in the care they are providing.
