This home is ok for older people who are partially bedbound. Not suitable for stroke patients needing 24-hour care. My son was not cooperative at times due to frustration.

My mother entered the home in 2017, and she has always been looked after very well; she is treated with respect and kindness. The meals served always look very appetising. Mum was always dressed nicely, but I wish they would hang up her clothes and not stuff them in the draws.

The home has gone above and beyond to provide good care and safety to its residents, especially over the last 18-months. My mum has dementia and mental health (long-standing) problems. The home has managed her care and anxiety with empathy and compassion. They are truly amazing. I would definitely recommend
the home. Their response to Covid and keeping it out of the home clearly shows their high standards. Mum loves the activities and the staff. She is very happy there. I couldn't ask for more.

The staff are extremely helpful, caring and understanding. In a difficult situation, they have made the family comfortable with a hard decision, and we are confident that Mum is being provided with the best care. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Nothing too much trouble, including residents to participate in activities. Well cared for, and their needs are met. Would recommend it wholeheartedly. Excellent care for my mother.

The care home is very welcoming and the staff make you feel part of the team. The staff go that extra mile to give the residents what they need and have made the covid 19 lockdown so much easier for everyone. I have been assisting with activities to enable them to offer more visits etc and love chatting
with the residents and helping do their new vegetable garden.

I think the care home is very nice and the staff go out of their way to make us feel welcome and safe. They really do take care of us. The activities are really good, especially when we have special events with singer’s, and the food is very nice. I think us residents are very spoilt for choice with

I think the care home is average as I have only been to 3 homes since I have been ill. The food is all right, and the staff are average, but enjoy a good laugh. The activities are all right when I attend them.

I think Stanshawes Care Home is quite good, the food is lovely. I think the way the staff are keeping us informed and the communication so we can speak to our Nan is brilliant, and from what I have seen, the care home is amazing and keep the resident's spirits up.

Mum has been a resident for several years and is very pleased with the level of care she receives, and also with the response to her concerns when things go wrong.
I find the staff friendly, helpful, and most of all, willing to support whenever we request something from them.

Mum has been in Stanshawes for four years. The home had reacted quickly to the current situation. They have kept the residents safe. Mum's birthday 12th December was originally going to involve a visit in the pod but had to be cancelled and they had to lockdown. However, the entertainment coordinator
organised a zoom call for the family. Mum loved it.

Although the management has been extremely careful about Covid, they are not taking the residents mental health into consideration. We are so lucky that the carers are so friendly and kind to the residents.
