The care and nursing staff work hard but often shorthanded which means dad is left in his chair when he would like to go to bed. Rooms need redecorating and refurnishing though bed is good.

Mum seems to be happy and settled here. Most of the staff treat her well - she said some are rougher than others. Mum enjoyed the visit by the zoo-lab.


My main criticism is to do with the wrong ambulance being ordered for mums hospital visit. This was extremely inconvenient and annoying. Mum had

got herself all geared up for her procedure and I had taken a day off work only for it to have to be cancelled due to an error by the home.

I have only experienced the care given in this home so my knowledge is not exactly wide. As far as I can tell, the care provided is up to "normal" standards.
Now and then, I have noted that staffing levels can fall short of the needs. Staff can be observed hurrying around trying to fit all their tasks
in time. However, I have not had any serious concerns about the level of care given to my mother.

My Sister-in-Law has only been a resident since June but the staff provided the facilities and refreshments for a lovely 80th celebration tea for 15+ people. Our overall experience so far has been good, with friendly staff always obliging to requests for assistance etc. My sister-in-Law, when questioned,
says she is well cared for and likes the staff. Whilst we all acknowledge this is sadly an unhappy and difficult period the staff do a very good job - our thanks to them.

I cannot praise the staff of this home highly enough.

I enjoy living here but sometimes I get upset if my teeth aren't always brushed. I think the care is of a good standard but some carers are better than others. I enjoy the activities. I think the food isn't too bad. Living here is mostly ok.

I am very happy here. My room is lovely, i have everything I need. The home is very clean, I enjoy the food it is wonderful. The staff are all very helpful and lovely. I am very quiet but if I do need something they are always happy to help. I feel very safe here there is nothing I would change.

I would like my room to be a bit bigger, but everything else is ok. I feel safe here and I get on well with the staff. The food is ok, but I would like a lot more variety. The home is clean. I am unable to attend group activities this is due to my medical needs and personal choice.

A lovely home and great carers the new staff are not so friendly as the older ones. It would be good to talk to mum when they are going by. Some work very hard and care but great activities. The room is a good size.
