Windmill Court Reviews (60)
Windmill Court has a Review Score of 9.1 (9.121) out of 10, based on 9 reviews in the last 2 years.
Over all time Windmill Court has 60 reviews.
My only issue is that her room is limited in size and as my mother is bed-bound there is little room for more than 2 visitors.
However, I would definitely recommend Windmill Court.
My sister has been in Windmill Court for over 7 years, the nursing and general care is excellent, my point of contact is the deputy manager and she is fantastic. Overall the staff are always helpful, my sister is clean, well fed and most certainly in excellent hands, what more could I wish for.
Very pleasant staff who have always kept me informed in regards to my husband's complex health needs. As he is bedbound he is unable to take part in any activities. His food is completely blitzed to a puree, although he is capable of biting veg so that is a disappointment to him. I am very happy with his standard of care.
It is like a home from home.
Windmill Court is a smaller facility with incredibly friendly staff who clearly care about the residents. As a family member, I have found them likewise very approachable and helpful particularly when seeking clarity or having questions over Mum's care. The facilities, whilst very spotlessly clean are more limited in terms of the sizes of the rooms and the absence of an ensuite shower. This may not be relevant to all residents but it is to Mum hence the feedback. It can be difficult to gain access out of hours as the staff are often very busy. In summary, the staff at the home have become like friends to me personally in how I am greeted and the invaluable assistance I am provided. Thank you for the care and attention that is provided to Mum
A lovely welcome for my 96-year-old mother, beautiful room and very friendly staff. Everything was explained carefully to her and all the family’s questions were answered so we came away feeling confident that she will be cared for extremely well.
Thank you so much for the review of Windmill Court, I am so glad that you have felt our warm welcome here. It is such a pleasure to have your mother living with us and we look forward to seeing you at the home soon.
The care that my grandfather received during his 5-week respite stay recently was absolutely wonderful. He is 97 and has dementia. The staff did everything possible to meet his needs and make him feel at home. As soon as we arrived I knew that he was going to be looked after well, the staff were so helpful, making notes of his quirks and habits and were just so kind. Every time I rang to see how he was I was told what he had been doing such as singing group and playing bowls. Things that he loves that I hadn’t told them about so you knew instantly that they cared and were communicating with him well. It was a huge comfort for us to know that he was safe and being well looked after whilst we were dealing with a family emergency. We can’t thank them enough and wouldn’t hesitate in arranging another stay in the future.
Thank you so much, Charlotte, for your review, it was such a pleasure to have your grandad staying with us. I will pass your comments to the team who I know will be so grateful, please do keep in touch. Thank you again, Michelle.
The level of care provided is excellent. There are appropriate numbers of well-trained staff who clearly care about the residents. The home is kept to a high standard. The residents are looked after with love and care.
I am very grateful and I could not be happier with the care provided, it makes a real difference to know our loved one is safe and happy.
Thank you to the team at Windmill Court.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review Windmill Court, we really appreciate all your kind words which I will share with the team. Thank you again, Michelle.
We have found the level of care at Windmill Court to be excellent - and that is for nearly five years. Despite the deterioration of extreme old age, our mother is treated with kindness, patience and respect. There has never been a time when we have worried about the quality of care she is receiving. We feel very fortunate to have found a care home that really does care.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write how you feel the care is at Windmill Court, I will pass your comments to the team and we are looking forward to seeing you at the home soon. It is so lovely to have your mother staying with us, thank you, Michelle.
My dad is currently in Windmill Court Care Home. He’s been so lucky to get a room here, it’s spotlessly clean, smells fresh every time we visit, the staff are just so lovely and friendly and the manager is very supportive and kind towards the needs of my dad. Knowing my dad is being well looked after here is such a huge relief. I would 100% recommend this lovely home. Thanks, Windmill Court.
Thank you so much for the lovely review which I will pass on to the team. It is a real pleasure having your dad living with us. Michelle
Many of the staff there are the same people as when she arrived, and they are wonderful. They know her and she them, and that is a source of great reassurance for us all. I have been able to visit any time I like, except for when Covid provisions came into play, and I know that she is in the best hands possible.
My mum-in-law has been at Windmill for almost one year and has received the best possible care. She was entirely independent before her stroke so found it very hard to adapt to a very much smaller life where she has become very dependent on the staff who care for her. This has been done beautifully and Mum now regards many of the staff as her good friends. Windmill is very lucky to have the new home manager, she has made some very good changes to the home, including creating new and useful roles for staff, and an increase in staff as a whole. I would recommend Windmill to anyone who needs this level of care.
Thank you so much for your review of Windmill Court Care Home, I am so glad that you are so happy with the care and support that your mom-in-law has been getting from us here. I am always looking for ways to improve the home to benefit the lives of the people who choose to live with us and I do love to empower the team to be the best that they can be. Thank you again, Michelle.
The home is like a 'home from home', very clean and bright, the staff are wonderful and full of fun (which put my gran at ease also) they include everyone with activities and the food is amazing, so glad she's safe and very well looked after, the whole "care home" experience is not just for my gran but for our family visiting, made to feel very welcome on visits and included every step of the way with decision making.
Thank you so much for making these comments that I will pass to the team here at Windmill Court. It is such a pleasure to have your gran living with us and enjoying her time here. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Michelle
My gran has lived in Windmill Court for over a year now. The staff have been amazing. They have wonderful activities, lovely food. Gran is very well looked after and has made some wonderful friends. Cannot thank all the staff for the support they have given Gran and the reassurance to family. Thank you.
Thank you so much for the wonderful comments, it is a pleasure to look after Gran and we look forward to seeing you at the home soon.
I would seriously recommend Windmill Court and wish I had put her there from the start.
Thank you one and all.
Thank you, Nick, it was an absolute pleasure welcoming your mom to Windmill Court and making her comfortable during her stay with us.
We are extremely pleased with the care Dad receives at this care home. As Dad has very complex needs, he is always well cared for and the staff treat him with the greatest respect. The interaction Dad receives from staff really does make a huge difference to us all, especially to him as we know how difficult this adaption has been for him. It gives us peace of mind knowing that Dad is being cared for by the wonderful staff here.
My Uncle came into Windmill Court to have one month of respite care as he had just lost his wife and was not coping at home. After the month was up we asked him if he was ready to go home but he said that he wanted to stay there and said he did not want to go back. We knew he was being well cared for and had all the comforts of home, so were happy for him to stay, if that is what he wanted. He has been here since July 20th 2020 and is now 98 years old. He has become quite frail but we are very happy that he is getting the best care available. He is very comfortable in his own room with his own facilities and his own comforts around him. We are happy he chose to stay, as he has the best of everything. Thank you for his care.
Thank you so much for taking the time to send your feedback. We are delighted that you are happy with the care we are providing for your uncle here at Windmill Court and that he is happy living here with us.
My mother-in-law spent the last 18 months of her life at Windmill Court and we couldn’t have wished her to be in a better place. She received outstanding care from the outset. Management were supportive and accommodating. The staff were professional and attentive. The Activities Co-ordinator was particularly supportive and made my mother-in-law’s last 12 months both stimulating and enjoyable, until her declining health became restrictive. On the whole, she was treated with kindness and dignity throughout. As a family, we were always made welcome to visit (pre-COVID) and during COVID lockdown, felt that Management dealt with the difficult circumstances extremely well, keeping everyone safe. We would recommend Windmill Court most highly.
Thank you so very much for taking the time to send us such positive feedback about the care we were able to provide for your mother-in-law during her time spent with us here at Windmill Court. It's wonderful to read how you felt about the level of care we were able to provide and that the...
This was my aunt’s first experience of a Care Home. Although initially reticent, she quickly came to realise how the staff were there to make her life simpler and safer. Being mentally acute, she quickly made a number of friends amongst the staff who I believe, in return, have enjoyed her wit and willingness to engage and converse. The security that the Home offers, the care and diligence of the care staff and the proactiveness, flexibility and approachability of the management element have all been very much appreciated, particularly during COVID times when personal contact has been limited. In this, my aunt’s and my own experience of the Home, has only been highly positive.
Thank you so much for your kind words about the care we are able to provide for your aunt. Our staff members will be both rewarded and motivated to hear that their high level of care and support has been much appreciated by both yourself and your aunt.
