Mum came to the Evergreens Lodge in December 2024. I cannot speak highly enough of the care given to mum, from management to the care team. In particular the two activity ladies who will always conduct a one to one with mum when she has down days or is emotional. The one criticism would be the laundry and missing items but nothing I can't sort out. However there has just been a change in management and I hope the manager is not hidden away. He is one of your greatest assets!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. We are delighted to hear that your mum has been so well cared for since joining The Evergreens Lodge. Your kind words about our care team and our wonderful activities coordinators mean so much, and I will ensure they are shared...
Very nice helpful staff , home lovely and clean, 5 stars for the food, plenty of it, always welcomed with a nice cup of tea or coffee, over the last month or so, I've noticed a massive improvement. The staff are VERY patient and very caring. I rate the care home 5 stars.Thankyou all the staff who make a good job looking after my brother. Glen.
Thank you very much. We are always here to help as we always aim to provide consistent and reliable service.
The staff (at the Evergreens Lodge Sherborne) from manager down have been exemplary. My dad was treated with respect, compassion and dignity in what a traumatic situation.
Thank you for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to be able to help you and your dad in this situation.
My brother, sister-in-law and I visited my father a few days after he moved in. He was clean, well dressed and happy and smiling. His room, although very small, was clean and adequate. We sat with him in the conservatory, and the staff were very nice to us and to him. It was Burns supper/lunch, and residents had Haggis, Neeps and Tatties and a Piper in full Scots dress played the bagpipes. The staff then got the residents together for a photo. We, as relatives, were treated very well and invited to have lunch with our dad. He was also treated very kindly, particularly by the manger who was on duty. All the staff knew my dad's name. He said he has been helped with washing and dressing and was happy.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is a pleasure to care for your father
The staff were very helpful and polite which is lovely to see our uncle seems very happy here which is great to see. Compliments to the check for the lovely lunch which was provided.
Lovely!
Mum has been in the home for 18 months. She settled easily and is clearly happy and content. Staff really get to know the residents and this makes such a big difference. There are often activities for the residents to become involved in, certainly enough fo mum. Food is plentiful and I very not had any complaints.
Although the building might not be ideal in many respects, staff make good, creative use of the space. The home is kept clean and safe.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is a pleasure to care for your mum.
I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this home as I have been extremely pleased with every aspect of my late mum's care here. I sincerely thank all concerned.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It was a pleasure caring for your mum.
Excellent and very caring staff. The staff and carers were extremely efficient and empathetic to the needs of the residents. I was very pleased to see my sister was happy and healthy. When asked if she liked it in the home, she made it very clear that she did. I seriously couldn't fault the home. I met a lot of the carers and I spoke to a lot of the residents who were happy and content. The choice of food was excellent and snacks were frequent. 10/10.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We look forward to your next visit with us.
Over the past few months, I have seen a real change in Evergreens Lodge. The home is bursting with life, the activities on offer are varied and person-centred and the new manager, and her team, go out of their way to make me feel welcome and a part of the home when I am there.
Our parents were moved into Evergreens Lodge as a month long trial back in February 2023. We, the family, are over the moon that they have settled and are really happy to make it their forever home. Our parents have different medical needs and are no longer able to live a safe life at home. The staff go above and beyond to make sure their care needs are met. The menu is changed regularly and, being that Father is a foody, it's important that the food in general is outstanding. The manager and her team are accommodating to us, but most of all, they go way beyond to ensure my parents are happy and content in every way. They have full access to a wonderful garden area, which again is something my parents find important. I'd recommend Evergreens Lodge in every way.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is a pleasure to care for your parents.
Very friendly staff, always there if you should need any information or to be reassured about anything. Nothing is too much trouble.
Thank you very much for your kind words. It is a pleasure to care for your husband and we enjoy your visits too!
The family were asked if they would like to come into mum on Sunday for a family gathering and for mum to see some of her great-great grandchildren, whom she had never seen before. It was a nice surprise for her. l would like to say a big thank you for letting this happen and the lovely cake that was made. Thank you.
It was absolutely our pleasure to assist with the arrangements for your family get together on Sunday, one more surprise wish list item happily fulfilled.
My husband has Alzheimers and is partially blind, and he has been in the home for about two and a half years. He prefers to be in bed all the time now as he knows where he is. The care by the friendly staff has been exemplary in all the time he has been there. I visit him once a week as he no longer knows me, so does not miss me. I am always welcomed by the staff and nothing is too much trouble, and if I have a query on his care, I can always speak to someone to put my mind at rest. I can recommend this home to anyone as the staff really care about the residents.
Thank you for your kind review, we always aim to provide outstanding and individual service for our residents and families, and appreciate your feedback.
I cant believe how happy my mum is here. It took a few weeks for her to settle but she is happy now. My mum always said "never ever put me in a home", when the time came I was weighed down with guilt. Now I am happy because Mum is happy. She is in a wonderful home clean, friendly and 24 hours care. I know if there is anything wrong with mum Riverside Nursing Home contact me straight away. I tell everyone about this wonderful home.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, we look forward to seeing you again soon!
My wife has been in the home for just over a year. She has been cared for in an exemplary manner, shown kindness, respect and indeed love. Most of my markings are based on what I have experienced during visits. The Covid security restrictions have limited my ability to fairly mark some aspects of the general assessment of the home and are reflected in the lower markings. I am however very satisfied with the whole experience. Well done Riverside.
Thank you so much for such a lovely review, we look forward to seeing you at Riverside again soon!
Mum moved into Riverside in very difficult circumstances at the start of the pandemic. We have always been so impressed by the care Mum has been given. Mum is poorly, but she has built a friendship with the staff, is very comfortable in her surroundings, is involved, and happy and while I wish she could be at home with my dad, in the circumstances I can’t think of anywhere else I’d rather she was. Everyone has also been very kind to my dad in his daily calls to check how mum is doing.
Thank you so much for your lovely review; it has been our pleasure to look after your mum.
To our great relief, she settled in amazingly quickly and as we were unable to visit, it was a great comfort to see the photos of her happily taking part in activities and looking as if she was thoroughly enjoying herself.
She, unfortunately, caught Covid in January 2021 but was nursed back to health with the greatest compassion and care and the nurses gave us daily reports with regard to her condition.
It is now wonderful to be able to visit again and we are always made to feel welcome whilst observing all the necessary regulations.
A huge thank you to all the fantastic Riverside team who go way beyond the call of duty.
Thank you so much for such a lovely review. We look forward to seeing you again soon at Riverside!
My grandad spent a week in Riverside on a respite placement. We were apprehensive especially as we were not allowed to visit due to COVID-19 restrictions. We did not need to worry, Grandad said he had a 'great holiday'. The staff were friendly and supportive and made Grand feel part of the family. He is already planning his next visit and I am sure in the future he will become a permanent fixture at Riverside.
My dad was there for the last 10-months of his life. Took a couple of months to settle, but the staff made his adjustment so much easier; for which I thank them. In the end, he was looked after so well, I can't praise the staff enough.
I would certainly recommend Riverside, so caring and lovely.
Once again, thank you all so much.
