My short time here has been a happy and forfilling time, absolutely the treatment I needed was met very friendly and extremely efficient.
Every member of staff are so willing and friendly, it really is a comfortable safe surrounding with excellent facilities.
Very good food and lots of tea, I came
here very low but staff have fixed me.

On choosing Woodstock, I was pleased with the lady who showed me around. Later, I was told that a total of 6 months of refurbishment was in operation. It turned out to be a new front door and decoration on the Ground Floor was all. The room my wife was in was never cleaned properly, floor dust etc.
was left for 5 months, toilet rolls were missing for days at a time. Bins are not emptied after a day. the laundry service was a joke. My wife's clothes went missing, and strangers' clothes were in place instead. My wife lost her wedding ring, various clothes, a commemorative coin etc. The food was very basic, and no attempt to make a meal to appeal to her, was ever offered. My overview is that the Manager and her staff were doing their best to manage under severe financial restraints. The owners should be ashamed.

We note that your relative moved out some months ago. We have reviewed the concerns within your review and are disappointed that you felt that you could not raise these concerns at the time. This would have allowed us to fully investigate and respond to you. As a significant amount of time has passed it's now difficult to accurately investigate. We welcome all feedback and will always try to resolve any concerns immediately if afforded the opportunity to do so. The Homes' refurbishment has been underway for several months now, due to finish in Dec 2025. Regular cleaning checks are completed in the Home, overseen by the Manager. Our records show one clothing item was misplaced and later retrieved promptly, the initial inventory detailing your wife's possessions on arrival, did not include a wedding ring or commemorative coin. These concerns were not raised at the time of your wife living in the home. We would therefore reject your feedback as being unsubstantiated.

My sister been there few months and I found there is no hand gel in dispensers or bathroom , or tissues on tables for residents the residents eat before cleaning hands n never yet seen staff clean their hands between residents , I find this the only problems as staff are caring food looks lovely n warm
with lovely garden but hygiene issue needs to be looked into I have spoken to staff but the manager is not there weekends when we visit

Caring for loved ones is absolutely what we are here for and enjoy so much. Thank you for your observations of the mealtime experience, we have taken these onboard and will continue to monitor the situation, unfortunately we cannot leave tissues out permanently due to our residents vulnerabilities, wet wipes are available on the lunch trolley. If you would like to meet with me again please do not hesitate to call in Monday to Friday as I personally do 5 days/week. I can however be contacted on the telephone between 9am and 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday. I look forward to seeing you again soon.

My young husband received palliative, end-of-life care at the home and passed away at the setting. The care that he received was brilliant. The home not only looked after him but they also supported our family, especially in the last few days. The home advocated for him, ensuring he received the best
care possible to keep him comfortable and pain-free by working with the community palliative team, regularly changing medication to align to his clinical need. He had a very peaceful passing despite very complex clinical needs. All of the staff genuinely care about the residents and their families. They are compassionate and empathetic. I cannot rate this home highly enough for palliative care. The home is clean with good infection prevention control measures in place. The staff are diligent and have good awareness of IPC. The home are also accommodating to the families' requests as much as possible, making the setting appear less clinical and more like a family home.

I always find there is a very friendly welcome on arrival at the home. The staff and management are approachable, and you can talk freely with them. My mum is always treated very well and in a friendly way, and the staff can share a laugh with you, always made to feel at home.

Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. All the staff seem to be well-trained, especially for residents with dementia. There are always staff available to help both residents and visitors. Rooms are basic but well provided for. Pleasant dining room which choice of food!

I am so relieved to see my dad getting the care he so desperately needs. The staff, the premises and the whole experience of visiting him on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday have been exceptional. Today, Tuesday was extra special as there was music which my dad and I loved. Thank you from the bottom of

I am so grateful to the Manager of Woodstock and her competent and caring team of staff, for the excellent and efficient care they gave to my mother who was a resident during her few last weeks of life. The friendliness and respect shown towards mum by every member of the staff, both nursing and domestic,
who had contact with her, was superb, and the warm and caring attitudes of the staff were always extended to me and my family whenever we visited. I would thoroughly recommend Woodstock Nursing Home to all potential residents and their families.

My father was moved to this care home after failing to settle at his previous one.
He is much more settled and happy. He engages much better now when I visit.
Staff are always helpful and reassure Dad when he is upset or confused.

I must say the time my husband was in the nursing home he was very settled and enjoyed the afternoon visits by various organisations. The manager and staff where wonderful and caring. I just wish it had been nearer to where we live, I would never have moved him. He had a wonderful ensuite and was very

My first impression, as I walked in the nursing home on 28th May 2023, was the warm and friendly greeting I received from the nurse who opened the door! I told her who I was and that I came from Canada to visit my sister. I was taken to a small lounge area where we could have a one-on-one interaction.
I visited my sister for three weeks, four hours a day, so I got to know the routines. We spent quality time outside in the garden, watching the residents and staff plant flowers. The ones who were able to walk were outside in the beautiful weather.
But the concern I have regarding safety/security is when she is in that small bed at night and there is no railing in case she becomes restless during the night and falls.

Some of our residents sleep on a low bed at night, and/or in the day, for their safety. This is due to the increased risk of serious injury if the person tries to get up from bed. A low bed with a crash mat is the least restrictive way to care for them. All our residents are assessed on an individual basis and equipment is put in place as required.

I have been really impressed by Woodstock Nursing Home.
From the first e-mail enquiry with head office to my initial visit and then making the decision that Woodstock and the wider team met our expectations of what we wanted from a care home.
The staff headed up by the manager are all friendly,
kind and compassionate towards my mother and our family interested in getting to know us as much as my mother.
Nothing is too much trouble.
Her room is on the ground floor looking out onto the garden which my mother will love as she likes to see any visiting birds in the garden.
Woodstock is a home from home for my mum and the staff take pride in looking after the residents and themselves.
We are all family should be a motto for Woodstock.

My first impression was good, I loved the layout with ground floor access to the dining room, lounge and garden. The family were able to visit for my husband's birthday and were shown to a private room for the occasion. His room was spotless with matching bedding and his wet room adjoining. Tv and monitors.
A lovely light and airy room. So far the care has been fantastic and I can see great improvement so far in his well-being.

My Father has been very well cared for, he is a new resident to the care home. The staff have been so welcoming and are looking after him so well, he is washed daily, his clothes changed daily, lovely home-cooked food, a pleasant room and all staff we have met that have looked after him have been amazing.
The manager and office staff are incredibly helpful and provide great advice. I must also congratulate the activities coordinators who provided a great selection of Christmas and New Year activities for all the residents, I visited when the Xmas party was taking place and it was a joy to see, residents were not only enjoying the music, dressed up for the occasion and wearing Christmas hats with some playing musical instruments as well.

Appointment for me and a cousin for 10.45 am-11.30 am on Wednesday 18th May. At 10.45 precisely we were admitted, processed for Covid by a nurse and made seven minutes late due to the printing of a form that needed filling. Also, no available space for entries in the visitor's book. Entered via garden
to a room apparently dedicated for visits - one visit to the home at a time seemed the reason for the tight time schedule (why not use the resident's room?). Unhappy about her long, dirty fingernails, my sister was happy for me to trim them. I asked a carer in the next room for nail nippers. She directed me through the home to reception where I was given nippers. On trimming the first nail, the nurse appeared and told us it was time to go. We had ten minutes remaining of our 45-minute slot. The nurse said visiting slots were 20 minutes in duration. She would not allow me to finish trimming my sister's disgusting nails, saying that a chiropodist visited the home once per fortnight - a minimum of six weeks of my sister's nail growth. Sister's son had been promised her nails would be cut two days earlier. Poor management, communication, use of staff time, dignity to visitors, care of residents and use of facilities. Over application of Covid restrictions at the expense of humanity and resident care.
