Overall Experience
My mum was accepted into Holywell Nursing home from hospital with terminal cancer requiring 24 hour palliative care in mid May. She sadly passed away on 2nd July. During her stay she was made very comfortable and received an excellent level of care and services from the wonderful staff. We were allowed to dress her room with many of her personal belongings from home which helped her feel more comfortable at this difficult and painful time.
The staff made the family feel very welcome and reassured us she was in the best care. Nothing was too much trouble going out of their way, often above and beyond what we were expecting. No restrictions on visiting times it made it very easy for the family to see her regularly and we were treated with the upmost respect and sympathy.

A massive thankyou to ALL the staff and we would recommend Holwell to anyone .

We as a family would like to thank everyone at the Nursing home for the outstanding care of our Mother although her time spent with you was short the staff went out of their way to make her stay as comfortable as possible.
Our gratitude extends to everyone in all departments of the home, everyone was so kind and caring and compassionate.

We would highly recommend Holywell to anyone looking for a home for themselves or a loved one.

My partner was a resident in Holywell for about 2 1/2 months, I would highly recommend this home, the care they gave my partner was excellent, nothing was too much trouble, the staff are all so friendly and made us feel so welcome, the food was home cooked and a good choice of meals, the rooms are very homely and were cleaned every day, they kept us up to date with my partners condition and treated him with dignity, he was very happy there and we will be forever grateful for everything they did for him

Overall Experience

My father has been a resident at Holywell for almost 9 months. I have nothing but praise for the staff and management at Holywell. My father has complex care needs. Prior to moving to Holywell, he was being admitted to hospital every 6 weeks or so. Since being there, he has not needed to go into hospital once. This is due to the diligent care provided. The home is thoroughly clean, with none of the smells that I have noticed in other homes. The food is top quality, with plenty of choice, fresh ingredients and good portions. The staff are wonderful - friendly, compassionate, professional, competent, reassuring, and treat Dad with dignity. They also treat my mum, who visits almost every day, as one of the family. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Holywell - they are everything I want from those caring for my precious dad.
