At Marian House, we have a wonderful team, and I am a firm believer that when you have a happy staff team, the positivity spreads to everyone.
We receive lots of positive feedback about how caring and friendly the staff are, and that the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We focus on getting to know your loved ones to ensure we deliver person-centred care with family and friends’ involvement.
It is so lovely to hear the laughter in the corridors when staff and the people that we support are interacting with one another. There is a strong ethos here to treat people how you would like to be treated yourself, encouraging independence, individual choice and preferences.
We are always here to help with any questions or queries you may have. We look forward to welcoming you to our home
I have been a qualified nurse for 8 years and I joined Marian House in 2021 as a Nurse. I progressed into my Clinical Lead Role in 2023.
I am very passionate about ensuring our residents receive person-centred care and love being able to make a difference in our residents' lives, spending time listening and talking to them.
Part of my role is the responsibility for Medication Management, a field that I am equally enthusiastic about, as this is an imperative part of us delivering the excellent and safe care we pride ourselves on.
I joined Marian House in November 2017, originally as an Administrator and soon became Office Manager.
I have a great relationship with all of our residents and their family members.
I might be the first person you meet at the door or the first person to take your call if enquiring. I will always try my best to help you, wherever I can.

I joined this great team in April 2021 as a care assistant, progressing to Senior Carer later that year. I took the role of Lead Activity Coordination in March 2024 after helping out with activities and finding that I loved the job and wanted to do it permanently.
Before joining Marian House, I worked as a Care Coordinator for a domiciliary care company as well as a dispenser in a pharmacy. I worked at both for several years before deciding to move over to nursing care.
I have found a passion for End-of-life care as well as Dignity in care. I have done a lot of training on these subjects which aids me in providing this care for the residents here at Marian House. I have just qualified in my NVQ Level 4 in Lead Adult Care, which I am very proud of. I love my job and thoroughly enjoy bringing joy and smiles to the resident's faces and lives, as well as coming up with new ideas and finding entertainment groups for the home.
Outside of work, my husband and I and our dog spend a lot of time outside, whether it be in the garden, gardening and looking after our pond, or going out for walks around our local Park. I enjoy playing the guitar, and my dad and I have regular jamming sessions, to our neighbour's dismay.
