Holmer Manor Care Home

My experience of the home is its warm and welcoming. Staff are very helpful and willing to help with anything I need to ask about. Meals are excellent, and I have had meals their. Plenty of activities if your person wants to do any of them. I know that my husband is safe and secure, I would reccomend Holmer Manor to anyone looking for somewhere for their relative.

My Friend was always treated well. She was very well looked after and treated with dignity. Activities were not assessed as the patient was immobile. Medical issues were reported to the appropriate person, which on occasions meant a trip to hospital. Security was below par because visitors were not always questioned on who they were visiting. Staff certainly knew the residents.

I cannot thank the team at Holmer Manor enough for the outstanding, specialist care they have provided to my close friend. Transitioning into care is a difficult milestone, especially with dementia, but the staff made the process seamless. They kindly accomodated visits prior to moving in and provided a transitional period, which gave us both immense reassurance. The carers, nurses and management treat every resident with genuine warmth, dignity and deep patience. They consistently go above and beyond, adapting communication to keep her calm and treating her as an individual. Communication with friends and family and loved ones has been excellent and we have always been made to feel welcome. I highly recommend Holmer Manor's Care home.

My mother is a residenty @ Holmer Manor Home of which she has been there for many months. It is clear that the staff care for my moms every need from eating, drinking, feeding and generally giving love. All staff respond to my mothers needs and care for her as a person. There has never been a difficult question that was not answered with care, compassion & respect. In the final days of my moms life the staff respected me as a family member and always asked me if I needed anythink at all. They helped with funeral arrangements & listened to everything that was being mentioned about my mothers best interests. This home is the best place to ensure that family members are being cared for. An amazing place.

The staff who care for the residents are always busy, and are very kind and caring, and I have noticed an improvement in my sister's general health and wellbeing since she came to live at Holmer Manor.

They are a wonderful team of people who will always remain in our memories.

We moved dad to Holmer to be his wife who'd settled in there very well. The staff made extra effort to ensure they could spend time together, given their different care needs, and went the extra mile to get dad into the lounge so he could interact with others.

Mum has recently moved to Holmer Manor. The home is wonderful, always clean, well-decorated and bright. The staff are the most amazing people who have made my mum so happy. The care is absolutely fabulous. The home managers have been so helpful, keeping me informed of all that I need to know regarding Mum's care. I would recommend Holmer Manor to anyone needing care for their loved one.

Mum was always cared for with kindness, love, dignity and respect. She was always clean, dressed and beautifully, even wearing items of jewelry. The staff were always friendly, helpful and pleasant. Nothing was ever too much trouble. They always had kind things to say about Mum and always felt safe in the knowledge that Mum was so well cared for medically. physically and emotionally. Her room was always clean and tidy, and Mum's belongings well looked after. All of the staff are amazing, caring, lovely people.

I am happy that all of mums needs are being met with her health everyone put at centre of the care you are providing.

My husband has been a resident at Holmer Manor care home since February 2024 - we both found the changes from home to a care home difficult to cope with. All the staff have been wonderful to both of us and have supported us both with understanding, kindness, and care in a very professional manner and they treat him with dignity. The friendly team always greet you with a smile, and are always happy to help anytime of the day or night. My husband is always clean and tidy and greets me with a smile. Thank you all.

Having to find a care home for mum when her physical health deteriorated suddenly, at the very time my wife and I were away on holiday, was the most stressful time. Dreading the process I telephoned Holmer Manor which had already been identified as our number 1 target from the CQC website and was amazed when they said they could visit mum that very day (which they did) and accommodate her the very next day. To say it was a load off all of our minds is a massive understatement! Mum is now a permanent resident and both she and I are delighted with our choice. Nothing is too much trouble for them, always cheerful and very helpful staff, from the admin team to the carers, the medical staff, the catering staff and last but not least the handymen. I can honestly say that I would wholeheartedly recommend this fantastic establishment to anyone and everyone. Thank you, Holmer Manor for being so fantastic!

My mother entered Holmer Manor Care Home a few months ago and I have been impressed by the staff and the care they take. Initially worried about handing her care to others, my fears were quickly allayed.

I would like to thank everyone at Holmer Manor Care Home for the kindness, care and dedication each and every one of them showed to my husband during his time as a resident with them, they could not have done more for him, everything was done with a smile and cheerful word of encouragement which meant so much to us all, nothing was ever too much trouble. Despite the fact that he was totally bedridden, the care he received far outweighed all our expectations. The food was wonderful, appetising and beautifully presented, his room was bright and spotlessly clean, every aspect of the care he received was incredible and for this we will all be eternally grateful to you all. I would recommend Holmer Manor without any hesitation and much appreciate everything they did not just for my husband but the support they provided to us all at such a difficult time. Thank you.

In her last weeks she was unable or unwilling to take food or drink. Over the four days my son and I were with her at the end, it was clear that we all had the love and support of the very professional and caring staff, many of whom I consider friends .

The residents seem very happy and very well looked after the food looks amazing. The care is excellent, the carers will do anything they can to help the management and the care team very understanding. Very happy all good.
