My mother's final weeks were very peaceful.

My mum was admitted to Myford House as she was not coping at home. She was distressed being alone, she was not eating or drinking and was confused. Since arriving at Myford House, she’s so much better and happy. The care she’s receives is excellent. Nothing is ever too much trouble. My mum had a really warm welcome and the staff treat her with so much respect and kindness. My mum has been transformed since arriving at Myford and we are so grateful to the staff for their love and attention. My mum would not be as happy and safe had she not come into the home. They took the time to get to know her and us as a family. We are made to feel welcome and they’ve been incredibly kind with allowing my mum to bring items that were important to her. This definitely helped with the transition from being at home to coming into care. My mum’s quality of life and health has improved massively and that’s thanks to the care and treatment they provide. The team are excellent.

All the staff but especially the manager and deputy manager provided outstanding care and love to our mum during her time with Myford House. They supported both my sister and I who at times were 100s of miles away by setting up video calls with us and Mum and provided us with ongoing updates as to Mum's progress. Nothing was too much trouble despite there being many residents the staff always had time. The support and love given to Mum and us will always be so very much appreciated.

I have nothing but praise for all the staff and managers at Myford. The care they have both received, especially my mum, who is still a resident at Myford, has been excellent. The staff are very considerate, caring and capable, which is just what we want as a family, as my mum has end-stage dementia. My father, as a daily visitor for my mum, was treated as part of the ‘family’ and was regularly given drinks and lunch. He really appreciated being able to visit daily and could see that my mum was comfortable and well looked after. I would recommend Myford to other potential families as our experience has been positive.

In her final weeks, the care my mum received from the staff here was excellent. From the cleaner, handyman, carers, nurses, to admin and management staff. All showed compassion and care to my mum and family/friends. We were all made to feel like we were part of a larger family.

He is currently on a respite placement in their Dementia unit and the care and love that the staff show to him is out of this world. He is treated like a member of their family rather than it being a business. They have managed to get medication under control and to turn his sleep pattern back to how it should be with ease because of the dedicated nursing team. I know he is safe, cared for and well-fed at Myford house and I would advise anyone looking to place at this care home to do so. Having experience of other care homes, Myford go above and beyond meeting residents' expectations of a stay in a care home. Utterly amazing, dedicated staff.

The home manager is an excellent example of a nurse manager. All through these dreadful times, she has been there for me on a personal basis. I cannot thank her enough. She also has a fantastic team. Our family love you all. A very big thanks to you all but the manager has kept me going many a time.

My mum was moved to this care home in July 2021. I cannot recommend this home enough. Within a month of being there, she has put on weight, she laughs and smiles, and that is something I haven't seen in the year prior to getting her here! The staff are fantastic, caring and very supportive. The level of care my mom has received is amazing. Thank you all so much.

Our dad has been a resident at Myford House for a few months now and honestly, I could not recommend them enough. The staff have been fabulous, they treat the residents with care, compassion and with a friendly joke or two that makes everyone feel right at home, which is so important. The home is very clean and comfortable and has a real home from home feel. They have really been on top of Dad's medical care and we are regularly kept up to date. All the staff are professional while being friendly and caring. It is just such a relief to know Dad is in a lovely, caring home and getting such good care and attention.

Outstanding care. I found all of them to be informative, responsive, well-led. My mom had been looked after by this amazing team for quite some time unfortunately my mom died on the 3rd of Dec losing her battle with dementia. The staff who nursed her to the end were outstanding and could not do enough for us as a family showing their professional approach was second to none. The manager was also extremely helpful in all aspects and was happy to answer any queries or questions we had. You were all fantastic we are so grateful for all of your support through such a difficult time. You deserve a lot of recognition for displaying such high standards. Kind regards.

I admit to having reservations when we were told where Mum was going but I am pleased to say that the improvements from the beginning of the year are immeasurable.

I would just like to thank everyone from Myford house for the care that my father-in-law received in his short time with you, before writing this review Myford House had a review score of 9.8 out of 10 but I would give it 11 out of 10 because everyone I came into contact with couldn’t have done anymore for us, again I would just like to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My mum has been in Myford House for the past 3 years and has always received very good care, but during these past few months with the worry of Covid 19, I must say the carers and all the staff at Myford House have been fantastic and always kept me well informed about how my mum has been doing and have looked after her extremely well. They have been professional and kept all the residents safe through these very stressful times. I would like to say a very big thank you to all the staff for all their hard work and to let them know how appreciated they all are.

My dad has recently passed away in Myford House after it being his home for over 5-years and I can honestly say it was like home, and the staff there treated him like he was one of their own family. The compassion and kindness they showed to him and me, I will never forget. It is a very difficult time when you place the care of a loved one in someone else’s hands, but I never, ever regretted my decision to have Dad at Myford. I will always treasure the time I was able to spend with him there.

My 85-year-old mum was in Myford House for respite at the beginning of this year, and she loved it there, a real family feel. She has now been back there for just over a week and is poorly, but the staff have been amazing! Their care of Mum is round the clock, and the team cannot do enough to keep her comfortable. Thanks to their brilliant team, I've been kept well informed of her condition, and their support offered to me has been incredibly comforting. I cannot praise the staff at Myford House highly enough! Thank you for everything you're doing, you're all heroes?
