Aston Court offers long-term residential, nursing, convalescence, palliative and respite care.

Aston Court takes pride in ensuring that its often frail residents can enjoy a safe and comfortable setting and the purpose-built home is surrounded by landscaped grounds. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities as well as TV points and a 24-hour call system. Four rooms with patio access have been recently refurbished.

A wide range of nutritious meals are prepared by an experienced chef, tailored to residents’ dietary requirements and their personal preferences, while lighter snacks and alternatives are always available.

A varied programme of daily activities and outings, include arts and crafts, movies, and gardening as well as visits to local villages and pub lunches. Aston Court also cater for parties and special occasions.

Aston Court Care Home has cared for my Nan for a number of years. She suffered a stroke and has expressive dysphasia so is unable to speak and struggles to communicate, staff are very good at communicating with Nan in a way in which she can understand, they do this by speaking slowly and clearly and
using other methods of ensuring Nan has understood like her body language/expressions and designing her days, meals and activities around things in which they know she enjoys - examples are the local catholic church visiting to ensure her faith is maintained as this is very important to her, she has been taken on an outing to the church and also with other residents to the garden centre - she enjoys being around people but gets very anxious and needs lots of reassurance, staff are great at providing this and keeping to her routine to help her feel relaxed and safe in Aston Court. Nan is respected as an individual and we are kept updated with the goings-on and any changes as a family. Thank you.

My dad was a resident at Aston Court for 19 months, he was looked after so well by everyone there. They let me know if there was ever a problem they kept me updated with Dad's care. The staff are amazing there. There was so much for him to do but Dad was happy with just his TV and lots of tea! My dad
passed away peacefully on the 22nd of June 2022, the staff made sure I was there by his side and they looked after me so well after Dad died. They treated me and Dad with so much respect. I am so grateful that Dad spent the last few months of his life there. I can never thank them enough for everything they did.

Amazing choice of place for my Mum and most care staff were very friendly and loving towards residents. They are treated like a family here, not a care home. The communication is great as the staff informed me of all changes and concerns with Mum. The home had the most minimal cases of Covid which goes
to show staff were efficient in infection control. This meant we were still able to book visits.

Our family had to choose out of three placements. We chose Aston Court and I can say we have no regrets. The support and care given to our mother is so refreshing, nothing is too much for them, we are so pleased we made the choice of picking this home, and since we have spoken to different carers who

This care home has been an absolute godsend for my auntie. She has become very independent and confident again. Considering she was at high risk of falls and hospitalised before coming to Aston Court. The staff here are fantastic, they are professional in their care and treat my aunt with respect and

My uncle has been a resident at Aston Court Care Home for one and half years now. Though his English isn't great, the staff keep him busy and they keep him engaged with other residents and together they have lot of activities to do, which keep him moving. Both staff and management are really good at
their jobs. I am so glad uncle is there, knowing he is safe and I can just get on with my working life. Thank you to all staff at Aston Court Care Home. You are all amazing.

Very helpful in providing a placement at short notice. Mostly done efficiently over the phone due to Covid-19. Is difficult to mark the categories as we’ve only had four visits in eight weeks due to isolation issues. Everything seems fine from the little interaction we’ve had, staff always very pleasant
and helpful. Only possible complaint is that sometimes it takes a long while for the phone to be answered but that depends on time of day. I like the way they are being so strict with the Covid-19 rules.

My mother was into her nineties and very frail, unable to walk, and with some dementia. Aston Court proved to be a blessing for all the family. The home was a comfortable well-run environment, clean and yet homely - the staff were always helpful and caring both towards my mother and the family too.
They patiently and cheerfully did their utmost to keep her happy, and additionally always treated her with respect. Her medication was always kept under review and the nurses kept in close contact with the family on all aspects of her treatment. She stayed two years at Aston Court until her death in July 2020. Our mother could not have spent her last years in a better place, we thank you most sincerely.

The settling in process was smooth and staff worked hard to reassure and comfort my father.
They always have time to talk through his care and any concerns arising from his general health and well-being. My father needed significant additional support and the management was quick to put that in place.
Since that point, he has been very well stimulated and encouraged by committed staff in what are difficult and demanding circumstances.
It is clear from our contact that he is generally contented and relaxed which means so much to his family. Thank you.

My mother has been a resident here for nearly 4-years. She is generally very happy and says, herself, that she is very well looked after. The staff have worked extremely hard during the lockdown and made the best of an awful situation. I have been kept informed of any issues that have affected my mother
by one of the very caring nurses on her floor. The two activity carers have been marvellous with keeping contact by Facetime and generally boosting my mother's morale. They both work extremely hard giving the residents personal time and attention as well as organising group activities. Because there is no visiting allowed at present, it is reassuring to have personal contact with them by social media.
The last 18-months have seen Aston Court under more stable management and a reduction in agency staff is certainly a good thing. We are kept well informed of the current situation, and for that, I am very grateful. The administrative staff are also extremely welcoming and helpful.

All nursing and ancillary staff are very warm and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble and always done with a smile. All mum’s needs are seen to, and she appears to have settled in very well. I always find the staff very polite and answer any queries I have. During the lockdown, the communication
has been excellent, and they’ve gone above and beyond to ensure that mum has still had her hair and nails done, which means so much to her. I would highly recommend Aston Court.

The staff have been done a superb job during the lockdown months. It could have not been easy for them they showed great courage in coming in and keeping the home free from the virus. I can't thank them enough for the way they have looked after my wife. The manager has done a really good job since taking
over you can see she has got all the staff behind her. They all work as a team.

Carers are not adequately trained to handle residents as per individual assessment or plan.
Poor performance of carers, reference to agency staff.
Differences aren't addressed, washing like a production line - it is therefore not cost-effective.
My daughter, the resident fell due to faulty hoist
and carers rushing and incomplete performance.
Stress and pain causes, is there any compensation!

Mom was treated with great kindness and respect throughout her six months at Aston Court.
The staff were all lovely and friendly. Mom's face would light up when someone came into the room. She was encouraged to join in with the activities and she was happy to do so while she could. The staff were very
kind and generous to her family during Mom's last few days. I can't speak too highly of all the people working at Aston Court.

Excellent afternoon on 25th November 2018 for my husband's 75th birthday. The staff made the room beautiful - the chef made a magnificent birthday cake which everyone massively enjoyed. It was a day which will have a lasting memory and my husband said it was one of the best days of his life and everyone

My late father was admitted to Aston Court for palliative care after being discharged from hospital. The hospital had given an estimated life expectancy of 6 weeks but sadly he passed away within a week of being admitted to Aston Court. The care he received in that short time was excellent. Nothing
at all was too much trouble with any of the staff. Although by this stage his appetite was poor, staff would be willing to prepare a light snack at any time to increase his diminishing appetite. Not only were the nursing staff incredibly supportive of my father meeting all of his needs. They were also incredibly supportive of my mother and our family.

Very caring and considerate to everyone involved in their care and help. I enjoyed being looked after and will miss being cared for when I get home - even though my time here is up and I need to look after myself for a while at home when my family should be back again.

I previously worked as a health care assistance in the NHS. I enjoyed working in the care sector so much that I decided to pursue a career in nursing. I enjoy working here as I love seeing residents happy, well cared for, and being able to put a smile on their faces.


I live locally to the home and am married with 4 children and 2 grandchildren. In my spare time I enjoy gardening, reading and learning about local history!

I have been a maintenance operative for 12 years. Prior to this, I was in the fire service for 20 years and have always enjoyed D.I.Y and decorating - after retiring from the fire service I decided to do this full time.


I like working in care services as I enjoy making sure making sure the residents have a nice and safe place to live in.


I am married and have 10 grandchildren. In my spare time I enjoy spending it with them, and holidaying in my caravan on the east coast. I also love live music, trips to the theatre and eating out.

I have worked in an administrator role in the care sector since 2008. Building relationships with residents and their families is my favourite part of my role here.


I live 15 miles away from Aston Court with my husband; my children are grown up and now live in London. In my spare time I love going to the cinema, live music, astrology and travelling.
