The care received at the home over a period of nearly three years has been really very good on the whole. Staffing levels have been inadequate at times but the new manager is putting things in place and you can see things improving, including the morale of the staff, which is the foundation.

Reply from Sarah Witton, Manager at Bramshall Old Rectory

This is lovely to read, staffing has been an issue here at the Old Rectory but I am recruiting at present and will continue to do so until our home is run by all our own staff. This bringing continuity for all residents living here at the Rectory. Thank you for your lovely review.

My dad came to stay at Bramshall Old Rectory over two years ago and very soon referred to it as home. We can't thank the staff enough for the ongoing care he receives. The team take time to get to know the residents and are always happy to support them and also their family. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are clean, spacious and well equipped. The food is also of the highest quality and residents needs are well met. My dad enjoys a joke with the staff and it is so lovely to see the relationships between them. All residents are treated with dignity and therefore, I would highly recommend this care home.

A delightful home set in the heart of a nice village. The standard of care given is excellent, and all of the staff seem to be very friendly. The food is well cooked and presented with a varied menu. A wide and varied entertainment program is available for those who want to participate.

Each person is treated with respect and dignity. Any worries or complaints are dealt with straight away. Overall a very nice and pleasant care home.

Over the last few months whilst my mother has been resident, I have been very impressed with the overall care she has received and the general standard in all areas. The staff treat my mother with great care and respect and are so welcoming and supportive to my Dad who visits almost every day. The general atmosphere is relaxed and homely. I feel I can speak to the manager very easily and she is obviously committed to ensuring the best possible care to her residents. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to family and friends. Those family and friends who have visited have commented on how well my mother is and the friendly atmosphere.

Overall Experience

Our sister, with progressive MS and demanding psychological issues, has been in the home for a while. Since arriving her general wellbeing and psychological issues have greatly improved. The care provided is excellent both for her physical and psychological needs. The home is managed extremely well and this shows in the day to day care and overall teams delivery of care, compassion, empathy and genuine love and commitment to their demanding roles and responsibilities. We thank you all.

My sister has very special hands is completely disabled and unable to walk or even stand up unaided.

The staff are always friendly and give complete care, empathy and love to my sister. Often under great duress, my sister can be difficult. The staff at any establishment are only ever as good as the person in charge. The Old Rectory has the very best manager. As a family, we can't believe we have found such a wonderful home for our deat sister.

I have found the staff to be so helpful, kind and professional at all times with our sister who at times is finding her change to life very difficult. We can't tell you what a relief it is to know she is being looked after so well.

My heartfelt thanks go to the staff of the Bramshall Old Rectory Nursing home for the care, professional attention and love shown to both my mother during her stay and especially in her final days, and also to myself and our family. NOTHING was too much trouble. The nursing and attention were of the highest order.
Having spent 40 years in Nursing, my mother hand-picked The Old Rectory herself for her own care and nursing needs.
From my own perspective, I was always welcomed with a smile. Living overseas, my regular phone calls were always treated with the same courtesy and human touch. I spent much of her final week sitting in The Old Rectory and was looked by the staff with the same courtesy, hospitality, and compassion.

I would have no hesitation in recommending The Old Rectory to you.

The Old Rectory provided totally fantastic support for my mother for two years.
The staff are very capable, efficient, happy but most importantly, gently and caring. They genuinely seem to love their job.
On the technical side, they are very competent e.g freshly cooked food with plenty of choice.
In summary, you genuinely feel they treat the residents as they would their own mums and dads.

Then you Old Rectory, You gave us peace of mind.

We feel very fortunate that our father has been fortunate enough to receive care at Bramshall Old Rectory. The welcome we feel is amazing but most importantly the reassurance that dad is safe loved and well fed (homemade and high quality) and we can not fault any of the carers, nurses management or caterers as they excel in every way but especially in giving their love.

My first impressions were lovely building with stunning views, inside clean, homely and cosy. The staff show care and kindness and cannot be faulted. In my opinion, the rooms are nicely decorated, warm and cosy. The meals look very 'nice and tasty' and a drink of tea or coffee can be provided for the residents 24/7. My parents have been cared for in a happy, clean and safe environment. Due to closures, we had to move my parents three times. This home is by far superior to any of the others.
